I might try and push Martial in for Gundogan on 7 chem and get a premier league French CB so I can play Hernandez there ahead of him tbh as I don't like the look of Robertson, I have Davies from Spurs too but he's only 75 pace or something.
Who are you playing LB currently?
 
Well, tried....failed.
Tested out in SB's on legendary and although I won both, was fecking awful :lol:
The gap between defence and midfield was to large with the 5212, so I had a 4231 set up as attacking to switch in game, but wtf.... Sandro was constantly playing right CDM (even though is role was stay back while attacking as a left back)
Benatia kept going to LB, it was a mess. In custom tactics my players where in the positions they should be, so god knows what was going on there.

I think I also acquired best player syndrome where I just wanted to try and do everything with Dybala
 
2 weeks running i have gone for untradeable packs instead of just taking the coins.

2 weeks of shit packs.

I assume all my luck is being saved for later, and a red Alex Sandro

Alot of people are complaining of this where players move on the menu but not in game when switching formation. Read it on the EA forums a few days ago. Seems to work fine for some and not for others. Never had the issue myself.

Yeah this was awful. I assumed it was down to the 'attacking' mentality causing more players to bomb forward, but it was all over the place.
Benatia at left back, Matuidi right wing, Sandro right CDM.

I even thought it could have been to do with the formation switch and people covering while it settled, but why my left sided players in Matuidi and Sandro would go to the right hand side was beyond me

Sane Jesus Lucas (PoTM)
James Thiago Firmino
Alaba Boateng Azpiliceuta Walker
De Gea

Switch to a 433(2) as soon as it kicks off with Thiago playing the deeper role. Keeps everyone on 10 chem that way.

No idea how to upgrade it now though? Possibly Aguero for Jesus.

Thats a good team, I think Aguero would be immense in there, IF Lukaku looks deadly too given how strong he is. Auba maybe? haven't tried him didn't even bother doing that loan SBC so can't say if he's any good.
That Bayern trio looks good, last season Boateng, Alaba, Vidal combo was scary good.

Yeah it works really well. Only problem with Lukaku or Auba is that they would drop to 7 chem along with Sane.

Never thought of that, Kun is your man so. Jesus CL card looks decent but is only 40k cheaper than Aguero, and has the same 82 composure, so more than likely the same probs as regular Jesus.

Yeah, think I'll slowly save for Aguero now. WL is going to be a problem again this weekend as I'm out all weekend. Not had a single one yet where I can just sit chill and play.

Did you move the players for the custom tactic when you were setting it up as you have to, same thing was happening to me.
 
Got promoted to divisin 3. Such a weird feeling been happy with relegation back to div 4.

Its chock full of Neymars and Mbappes. Also, the 3 games I did play in div 3, all 3 just controlled there CDM and had the constant pressure tactic on.

The antithesis of fun.

I can't get out of div 5. Sort of looking forward to being relegated actually as I can't win a single game at the moment. Don't know what's happened in the past couple of days but every single pass goes to them, my defence parts like the red sea and when I do get a chance my player just either sky it or pass it straight to the keeper. Can't even score a fecking corner for God sake!

Got him and Vela as my best. On the plus side I can sell Handanovic now, plus the packed Alejandro Gomez, Otamendi, Rashford, and hopefully will have enough to buy Naingollan to go with SMS and Hamsik in a midfield 3 (I changed formation again, D3 was ruining the 442)
 
Got Arnautovic and Bernardo for my rewards, would be great if I didn't buy Bernardo last night but meh... I'll lose 30k on him. Bought for 74 sells now for 46. Might hold on to him for awhile and see if he goes up when the big SBC's drop, next round of icons or flashbacks or something.

Opened my first Megapack and got IF Pandev too. Can't really complain at that 135k worth from 3 players. Didn't hit any of the big 4 but I'll take that as I didn't get any of the dross from the TotW in my picks.

Not been a bad day packwise for my Prem Team, all added up I got IF Silva and Arnuatovic, Martial, Laporte, Depay and to a lesser extent Dier and Pickford who go into my team.

My 4 sub attackers are now Martial, Jesus, Depay and PotM Lucas. I'd have killed to have that standard as my starting team at this stage last year.

I'm starting Bernardo ahead of Lucas, I find him much easier to control and being left footed, he's always good for a cheeky finesse. Have him twice now.

Edit: Should add I play 4231 so once the game starts my wingers become CAM's.
 
All things considered Is fifa 19 worth getting? sold my ps4 a while back, and would have to buy console and game separate as they don't have any of the bundles over here.

Its not perfect but I'm enjoying it so far. I've been going at it pretty hardcore this year tbh.. almost all my down time now is something to do with Fifa, missus is gonna kill me but I don't mind divorce if I pack any of the Ronaldo's.
 
Got Szczesny and Bernardo Silva in my 2 player picks, not bad, both 86. Then in my packs I got Coutinho, Kimmich, Kompany, Moussa Dembele and Jordi Alba. My luck in packs this year has been a thing of beauty.

I just read that they disclose pack odds now and its less than 1% chance of getting a really, really good player :lol:

I messed around with it in squad battles. Although a finesse shot with Dybala is an 80% cert, the timed one just goes in. Scored one from about 35-40yrds, it tricked in, but still went in.

I just don't know how you'd use it online though with no indication bar. Timing it would surely be luck

Just press shoot again as the ball meets the foot of the striker. Power it up in the air. Only really useful when running on to a shot, a volley or finessing.

You can switch on the indication bar online just put the trainer on and movement and mechanics only.

Its not luck, the perfect timed shot is right when the players shooting foot is about to hit the ball. It's easy once you get the hang of it. Watch your players foot/animation instead of the bar, its second nature to me now. Unless I'm panicking where I tend to rush them, I get as least light green on pretty much all my shots.

I don't think you can use the bar in Weekend League but you can in rivals.

I need to play the AI to get to grips with it and I really cannot be bothered at all. I know I should because so many more shots would go in, but the graft of getting used to it is too much.

On that note, what skill moves are people using most this year? The 90 degree spin turn thing doesn't work at all for me this year.
 
I played a match today and the person scored 4 goals from outside the box with first touch shots that went straight into the top corner, like he passed it and the receiving player shot instantly with his first touch. I have never really had this happen to me in previous fifa's and then today in that match and other games I have noticed people scoring like this with first touch shot goals from distance. I take it this a new scoring technique?

I've scored quite a lot of first touch shots but usually bottom corners.
 
Any recommendations for improving my team? Currently playing a 424 with Sanchez and Rashford up front as LFs.

Was considering Matic and maybe Antonio Valencia but don't think they'd be huge upgrades. Definitely want Pogba so I'm saving for him but not sure where to go from there. If I got super lucky with packs of eventually try to get some of our legends. But that's a pipe dream.

Oh and I have about 190k in coins.
 
Forgave my luck and went for coins. Got enough for Douglas Costa now which is great for me given I don't do SBC or sniping. Takes me ages to save for players!

You sure you want to continue with that formation?
If so, I’d definitely replace Bernardo. You just can’t rely on him to score consistently. You could do a straight swap with Sane and play him on slightly lower chemistry. He’s incredible.

Definitely replace Shaw with Mendy. You just have to put away your feelings for city/liv players if you want to get the best team:)
