Gaming FIFA 19

If I have a team of mediocre Prem players (ratings generally 81-84) and almost no coins to spend, would consistently playing squad battles on weekly basis see me get a top side quite quickly or have I kind of missed the boat on having a mint UT side at this stage? Also would anyone recommend that I maybe sell everyone and compile a Serie A team? Find that quite appealing.

I'd like to get into it like I did last year, but it is a little demotivating when everyone has an established top class side and I'm bombing down the wing with Ben Davies and relying on Arnautovic up top!

Yeah I don’t think you’re going to get a ‘top’ side very quickly. Playing rivals, squad battles and perhaps the weekend league would give you coins fast so you’d at least get a decent side, but a team with the likes of CR7 is going to take time. I’d switch to Serie A, it’s the best league if you don’t have many coins.

Aim to get players like Manolas, Alex Sandro, Handanovic, Allan, Mertens (!) etc.

Yeah I figured that'd be the case. I definitely think I'll switch to a Serie A side and get some value that way, which I'm sure will include some of the above names.

Can pick up players like Sandro for 25k roughly. He is still in my team and I have a very good team now. Nainngolan and matuidi are quality in CM. Wont cost a lot (prices up when SBCs are out). Tomorrow after rewards might be a good time to buy your team
 
OTW 88 Filipe Anderson has been an absolute beast for me, so glad I scrapped Sane.

Theyve finally put those prem league upgrade packs in store like everyone wanted but they require 11 rare prem players to build.

So basically give up 11 rare prem players and in return you get a measly 2 81+ prem players.

Prem rares have all gone up in price so at this point its better to just sell them on the market instead if doing these packs.
 
Got both Ederson and Maddison out of 10 of those upgrade packs. 5 of the 3 players with 1 rare and 5 of the 2 81+ upgrades.

Stupidly overpriced SBC. Thank God I have a hugely stocked club going into this promo.

If BL TotS has a decent striker I'll be rocking this for WL.. My club value has taken a hit but thankfully I'm almost done the League SBC's again.

How many have you done? I got TOTS Robertson on only my second attempt, i think they’re quite heavily weighted with TOTS cards. Saying that i think my mate did 20+ before he got TOTS Maddison.

I agree they are heavily weighted but still pricey. I watched Nepenthez do 20 and get nothing last night. I did 5 of each. Hit Ederson in my first pack of common upgrades. Hit Maddison in the 81+ packs near the end. I'm afraid to keep doing them though because many people have hit 3 or 4 Maddisons and Dohertys. That said I wouldn't mind a Doherty.

You could also get stupidly lucky with the 3 players packs and hit Trent, Doherty and a rare TotS (though really unlikely).
 
Anyone who missed FB Ibra who wants a cheap alternative. Look up TOTS Tammy Abraham.

I just conceded 5 goals to him from corners. He is so broken, and only 30k. 6'5, 99 strength, 97 heading accuracy, 87 jumping.

That’s very lucky congrats, I Did about the same as your mate got a couple of low tier walkouts but nothing special.
 
Who else has done that Gomis weekly challenge?

Probably the most easiest challenge I've ever done on FIFA, stick your best two attackers and best attacking fullback off the bench straight away (as you have to start with 11 Saudi League players to complete the task) and your opponent is a sitting ducks, by the time they've realised what you've done and try to react it's too late.

Was looking at him or that Cameroon dude from the Saudi League actually for just this reason.

The Saudi League guy is only 6'2" but has 99 Jumping, 99 strength, 99 heading accuracy, 99 sprint speed and 99 finishing. Whack a sniper on him and he also gets 97 attack positioning, 97 volleys, 96 agility (huge for a big guy) and 95 ball control.

Lots of people saying both of them are broken but most saying Tawamba is the most broken.

Have the same problem with Ederson... he saves literally nothing, I'm thinking of whipping him out and going back to Nif De Gea. He's fast off his line for one on ones but thats literally all he has going for him.

Only middle Gullit... seriously though that team is immense. Will be interesting to see how your results vary. 4231 with Ramos RB and Marcelo LB in game?
 
Lost 200 skill points in the last 2 days. Cannot complete a pass and cannot defend to save my life. Anyone looking to complete a weekly objective is having a great time against me right now
 
First decent red picks this year, and its because they were guaranteed to be decent. Not complaining at Robertson and TAA, fullbacks sorted for the rest of the game now
 
Managed to get VVD 96 and Robertson 94 :eek: will have to try and get them in my Serie A side somehow :lol:
 
I didn't get to play so a fella I know got me to 14 wins. Pulled Ederson. Not great but he will step straight into my team and ill sell DDG. Teams are gonna be so stacked in the coming weeks :lol:

Yeah I’ve finished on 25 or 26 wins in the past couple of weekend leagues, would be strange if I don’t do better with a team worth 5 times as much as mine.

All the top players making 5-10 mil as well as their red picks....
 
Mixed it up a bit and will be using this team for weekend league. Has anyone tried Lowe? He looks great for 11k.

Are these guaranteed quality cards a one off or a weekly thing for the foreseeable.
 
Decided to gut my club out and make coins to do Firmino SBC. Was delighted I was selling loads at decent profit. While that stuff was going well enough, I submitted some big players (91 Reus weekend league pick, EOE Valencia etc) into Firmino.. BANG...…….. TOTS Hazard, sold for 2.9 mil :eek::eek::eek::eek:

Puts a spanner in the works now as I had a team in mind, not expecting to have 3 mil extra

Thanks! Im buzzing, from a rare players pack I think it was from Firmino SBC. I will either be getting 90 Gullit for 41212 or R94 for 4231

Wouldn't mind having that kind of spanner in the works. The fact I forgot to redeem fut champs last weekend is killing me now.

Mate, last weekend was the only time I couldn't invest too much time, I was gutted! I was 9-1 and let one of the lads in our chat get me to 17. It was getting late and he only managed to get to 14.

Still got me TOTS Ederson though so im very grateful

It is indeed! :) Finally I get to see if I am as good as I hope I am. 30-0 would be unreal, but I think that requires a fair bit of luck. Going from 26-4 to 28-2 should be realistic, I’ll be indifferent with that. 29-1 or 30-0 would most likely mean top 100 which would be amazing.

I can’t wait. My concentration level should be through the roof. I just hope the servers don’t feck it up. @Lemansky just remember to not log in while I’m playing ;)

Thanks, cool to see some of you being a bit interested :) I’ll post a few updates. The extra pressure should make me focus more, hope it’s only a good thing, though if I get very close to top 100 I’m not sure how I’m going to be :lol::nervous:
