I left it at gold 3 this week. Don't play as much these days but this weekend was terrible for the tactics people were playing. The drop back and control your CM is just stupid and yet works better than anything, so frustrating to play against. Think pretty much everybody i played was using it.

Heard a lot about this drop back tactic. Never ever considered using it but hearing it’s used more and more now. What’s so effective about it?
Finished on 19 wins. Annoying because I know for sure I bottled 5 games or so. I rage quited a few when I went 2-0 down, and yet I made a 4-0 come back in a game

Its effective if you are good at the game already in attack as it bolsters defence, but wont elevate you to a new level. Basically as soon as your opponent gets the ball, all your defenders drop back to the 18 yard line as do the cdms making a brick wall of players to get through. Makes attacking harder though unless you play patiently and can wait for the attack to get up the field.
You also run the risk of being a massive fun sucking cock if you do it
It can, but if you position your wingers to stay further up the pitch, it can make for devastating counter attacks if your opponent dedicates too many men forward.

This is such a dead promo. It’s meant to be EA’s best time of the year, where they go a little mad and give us plenty of content yet everyday they just continue to disappoint, at this point it’s almost as if they do it on purpose.

Got Rice and Digne from the weekly challenges. Digne is a beast especially with shadow, Rice is okay but was hoping he'd be a little better, does everything well but nothing outstanding.
They've given away 5 very decent TotY cards in 2 weeks in fairness to them. I don't see how people can be annoyed at the promo. The game itself is trash, but what do people expect from them?
I have 4 88 rated and 1 89 rated TotS for free. Well I don't because I threw one in an SBC and packed a duplicate but thats probably 500k worth of player for free.
I'm all for a bit of EA bashing but they are giving away great players for very little investment other than time.
You must not have played previous years as TOTS this year is completely dead compared to the others, there’s absolutely no incentive to play the game I’ve unlocked the objective player I want but otherwise at the moment (for me) I log in at 6, see there’s a shitty kit then log off.
Last year they were dropping SBC’s that were decently priced each day With plenty of content Plus We got 2 rounds of prem TOTS guarantees for relatively cheap and there was continual sbc league upgrade packs.
Instead they put the rubbish Saudi league tots guarantee instead of the prem one I’d like to think they’ll drop a guaranteed prem tots one tomorrow but there really should be two opportunities to get a prem tots.
Wasn't that festival of fut where they dropped the dailly SBC's and TotS they just released one or two a week?

I think they dropped the Saudi one first so players would have TotS that will be required but can't say I'm 100% certain.
All I remember from last year is the major leagues got 2 guaranteed tots sbc each on the Sunday and Tuesday. They didn’t bother with the lesser leagues Like the Saudi one that should’ve 100% been a prem tots one or at least offer the prem one along with the Saudi one.
Last year it was an 83 squad with one tots for the guaranteed prem tots. With the way things have gone this year Watch it be a 86 rated squad with one tots or something similar. Plus they really need to release the league upgrade packs tomorrow too. Twitter and EA forums are begging for it.
If we get a prem tots and upgrade packs it will make ALOT of people happy because right now everyone is saying it’s the worst tots ever in terms of content and it is no doubt.
Petros TOTS from the Saudi league, honestly feels like having a slightly shitter version of TOTS Allan in the team.

I'm really confused. I have used TOTS Petros for ~10 games now, as a cm in a 433(4) and he sits so deep, like a cdm basically whereas FB De Rossi would be everywhere and never in position defensively.
I assumed it was his workrates, he has medium attacking and high defensive. But when i checked FB De Rossi he has the exact same workrates. I use the exact same instructions on both too, but for some reason Petros plays a lot more defensive

Could the marking stat not influence this? Means he sits closer to the players he's meant to be defending against? It's just a guess though.
Does anyone know when the TOTS Eredivisie cards are coming out?I went all hipster and jumped on the Ajax's CL run bandwagon.

Really over priced SBC 86 rated and a Tots, that'll be 250k.

Got 96 Eriksen, one of the lucky few to get my monies worth. Really overpriced SBC if you have to pay for it. Borderline taking the piss cost wise given how 85's + are gonna rise in the next half hour.
Also TotS players gonna crash Thursday with rewards too making it even less valuable.

Quite enjoying Rice to be honest. Works great with Prime Moments Petit in DM. He's uselss on the ball though. Very good and strong in the tackle and hits pretty hard. He doesn't seem to play like a med/med plays more like a med/high which is nice in CDM.
Haven't got a chance to try out Eriksen yet but will soon as I get home.

Managed to pull Lacazette in the TOTS SBC. Was close to not doing it as there were many players i could have done without, being mostly Serie A based but i can definitely work him in with Ndombele TOTS who i got in last weeks SBC.
There is a glitch but it involves buying another one and than selling it, it costs pretty much the tax after the sale though. Nepenthez has a video about it. I never tried it because it looked buggy and broken as heck.
Last year you got twice guaranteed TOTS Sbc and that for 83 rated team and one TOTS. Now only one and 86 rated + one TOTS. Pisstake. Can someone explain to me why they always have to chop and change most things for the worse.
Tots should be fun, because the game is nearing the end anyway. Got Robertson, which is fine, hoped for one of the top attacking cards though.

If anyone is struggling to get TOTS Digne through the objectives, at half time if you're not losing put VVD up front and bring Adama of the bench, done it within 6 games.
In fairness and I find it horrible I'm defending EA here, last year coins were much, much harder to come by. The reality is many people have 188+ rated squads this season so far without spending a cent of real money. To expect last seasons prices on an SBC is over the top. An 83 rated squad with a TotS would cost about 30k coins. The cheapest PL TotS is currently over 70k (PS prices).
One week of playing squad battles without trying too hard would earn someone a TotS PL card if it was only 30k... Now imagine being able to do it twice for all 5 major leagues. You get a super team for 300k...
This years one is achievable for 170k, there are 2 players in total who can be packed for less than that value, 1 at that value and 17 who are of greater value, over 15 who are double the cost. The SBC is overpriced by a bit because I'm sure there will be 10 Maddisons to every Aguero buts its hardly criminal now prices have settled again imho. Not to come across arrogant but I did the entire SBC with players who can't get in my squad nevermind my team.
Where EA have shot themselves in the foot is prices are gonna tumble on Thursday with rewards which will devalue the players recieved today. I think a 185 would be perfect value tbh, about 120k for a PL TotS.
Now back to some EA bashing... Guiliano's SBC is proper trash in comparison (same cost as Prem TotS) as is Townsends (200k+) Neither card would be above 80k on the market

It was my birthday at the weekend so couldn't get the WL done. I had such a crap team as I sold up and was waiting to buy. Managed to go 9-1 then let someone else play for me. They couldn't get me to 17 but they got me to 14 which im grateful for!
Went and bought my team for this weekend. CR7 back, FB Costa, TOTS Ibrahimovic. Gonna sweat it out and hit elite few times in the next few weeks to make the most of these rewards.

Damn Norwegian constitutional day. It’s a big celebration and I travelled to my hometown to celebrate, couldn’t get any games in.
How good are the rewards tomorrow? I know it’s a guaranteed PL TOTS for Gold 2 and above, but is there anything else that deviates from the standard rewards? Will the rewards be the same in the upcoming weeks only with different leagues?
Not sure, but I know the big players with ultimate TOTS packs will make a fortune and pack some top players. Think if its Bundesliga this weekend for example, the same rules apply. G2 above guarantee Bundes TOTS. But if less you may get a lower TOTS.
If you got elite you get tradable PL tots packs instead of informs I believe, at least thats how I interpreted what I saw.
