It was unreal. Guy didn't time any of his shots, but everything went in.
Kickoff is legit pray you don't concede.
Try activating offside trap as the opponent enters your half. I never concede kickoffs after I started doing that
Feel you. I once got a penalty called against me when the opponent fouled me similarly inside the box. The state of the refs in the game is so bad, I don’t understand how they’ve messed them up so much. They were way better in previous fifas.Game 11: won 5-0, he quit in the second half. Easy win
Game 12: feck me that was a difficult one. He was up 2-1 at some point. Managed to turn it around to 3-2, switched to my counter-attacking tactic and Mourinhoed my way to victory. Nerve wracking to say the least. Very happy with my defending after going up 3-2.
Game 13: Even worse. The guy was so good. Googled his username after the game, turns out he finished #66 in one weekend in april. I was up 1-0 and 2-1, but the game ended 2-2. I won on pens. I’ve now honestly won 10-15 shootouts in a row (thanks to @Emmet ) so was happy to see the game go to pens. It was a very deserved win though. Had more than twice as many shots on target as him, I had three shots hitting the post (he had 0) and his first goal was from a pen that should never have been.
13-0 now. I’m mentally drained after the last two games so going to take a break and collect myself. Gave it all I had in the two games, especially the last one. Started jumping and shouting after I beat him which was then followed by slight embarrassment from my reaction but who cares, I won!!

It’s based on tips from Emmet, but I’ve changed it slightly.
Basically if you start the shootout you shoot down to the left. If he starts then you move the gk to one of the sides during his run up and then jump in the opposite direction. That way you’ll cover both shots going towards the middle and most of the shots going in the direction you’re jumping.
Your next shots will be aimed towards wherever your opponent had his last shot. People rarely jump the way they just took a shot for some reason. In terms of saving, I just continue doing the gk moving and jumping in the opposite direction trick if it works. If not, I change it up. I usually move the gk around, but if I see that he shoots where I initially positions the GK I then move him to the other side as late as possible and jump towards the side he stood at initially.
Haha i had like a 3 year unbeaten run vs my best friend on shoot-out's by copying the way he went. When i told him why i kept beating him (after we stopped facing off so much) i thought he was going to smack me.
Awesome17-1 now. Lost against a guy who was ranked #217 in the march monthly rankings. He won 2-1, scored a corner goal and a ridiculous finesse long shot where he was not even close to be in an angle where that shot should work. It felt so scripted. Was late in the game as well. Almost equalized too, had a shot that his the post. The team I’m playing with is worth roughly 30 million, his team was even more expensive than mine which didn’t help.
Shouldn’t be too disappointed with 17-1, but that loss killed my mood.
Edit: And that was the third opponent I’ve faced this weekend who has been in top 100. I’m dreaming of making top 100 this weekend which is still theoretically possible, but I need a decent amount of luck with matchmaking and so far my luck has been terrible.

Playing this game against the AI is unbearable no matter how much I mess with the sliders.
- If I fake shot the CPU never ever falls for it.
- They block about 90% of shots regardless of distance.
- It’s basically impossible to press them or even achieve a decent sliding tackle. Sometimes they’re impossible to even foul, however if you’re on a yellow or there’s an advantage played you will immediately be able to foul/tackle them.
- I score the same goal over and over because it’s the only space I seem to get on the pitch every game.
Online sucks dick as well. Full of annoying cnuts. I just want to play career mode but the greed of EA means that mode and the AI won’t be fixed. Everything goes on the soulless Ultimate Team.

Yup, the game is rubbish to be honest. Playing the AI is incredibly unenjoyable and the gameplay is at its lowest point in the history of the franchise. Career mode is just pathetic as well. FIFA is a prime example of what happens when there is no real competition in the market.
If I was a casual and didn’t play often I’d rather play PES. The gameplay can’t be worse.
21-1 now. Just won my second penalty shootout this weekend. The guy was playing like a complete pussy, passed the ball around for the entire game. He created feck all, but scored two lucky goals, the latter of which came in the 92nd minute when I was up 2-1. What an awful game. Barely won the shootout too, he was very good there. I struggled to create chances myself as I barely had the ball, but it was a very deserved win.

Anyone ever have a game when the opposing keeper literally catches all of your shots. I even squared a ball to a player on the near post to smash it in and the keeper just simply caught it, never seen anything like it. Piece of garbage of a game.

Personally shocking weekend. Got to 17 & 6 and managed to bottle Gold 1. Had some horrid EAids. Was 19 & 8 and for some unknown reason Sol Campbell controlled by AI gave away 3 pens in 2 games. Should have won them both but lost within 90 minutes. Last game saw Tots Ederson act like he got concussion, went 2-0 down domianted the game and lose 2-1 hitting the bar 3 times.

I only play online so I'm not sure how valid my advice is. But I only press with attackers. Midfield and defenders I use them to back off and look for simple tackle to rob the ball off. I never slide tackle. The big problem with pressing with midfielders is once they play around them with smoke 1-2 the space in front of defense opens up and now you are backing off and they can play a simple thru ball to the forwards. With defenders of course once bypassed shot is on.
Bottomline it's very easy to bypass crazy pressing with 1-2.
When the game is against you like that there’s not much you can do. Giving away penalties because of the AI is the most frustrating thing ever. I was lucky to only give away one during the entire weekend. 3 pens in 2 games is bad.And thanks

Try setting the depth to 7 and pressure on heavy touch in the tactics.
