I got IF Hazard in one of the 2 I've bought.
Just been considering whether or not to buy 3 of them with the 300+k I've got sat in my club.
I stopped buying packs last year, because I realised that no matter how many coins I have, and no matter what team I have, nothing plays better in game than a PL sweat team. I'm serious, 50-80k is all you need.

Started well, went absolutely dreadful but I’ve won the last 5. 14-16 atm.
I also looked for a super sub and tried out Ben Yedder. Good, but Aspas 86 for half the price is similar and was better for me overall
Icon GKs are the greatest bullshit. Schmeichel is a calamity, you get better GKs for 1000 coins. Van der Sar was decent, but again, Courtois or De Gea are better. Yashin is good and the only goalkeeper worth being an icon in the game
I think psychology comes into it a bit. You'd probably expect great things from a keeper costing 400k, whereas if one cost 900 coins you'd consider him to have had a good game if he didn't drop everything in sight. I think it's part of the reason cheap teams feel like they play better than expensive ones sometimes. Your expectations are just a lot lower.

I never like to spend big on GK's. They aren't controller by the user and for the most part, shots are either savable or they aren't in Fifa. De Gea and others with the save with feet trait have the added bit of animations, but realistically, over probably like 20 games, you'll get like 2-3 goals max difference between De Gea and someone like Begovic/Butland. At the end of the day, if you're better then the oppo in a game of Fifa, your keeper won't cost you a result, it'll likely just be poor finishing which can be improved with better attacking players or just better decision making up top (or better defending in the first place).
Yeah no shit, I’ve been saying that for months now! Most people don’t realize that there isn’t necessarily a big correlation between goalkeeper ratings and how good they are. Fine, De Gea is arguably the best goalkeeper in the game and one of the highest rated too, but someone like Perin who is rated 83 and costs almost nothing is among the top 3 goalkeepers in the game.
I don’t think so. Prime Schmeichel really is worse than many cheap keepers like Perin. I could do a blind test and draw the same conclusion. Fifa has been like that for as long as I can remember. Everyone used Butland last year since he was one of the best goalkeepers in the game despite his 82 rating
I think keepers make a massive difference. You say 2-3 goals over 20 games max. I think the difference between Begovic/Butland and De Gea would be closer to 15-20 goals. It does happen every now and again these days when I have shit GKs that I lose to weaker opponents just because their goalie is better than mine. De Gea can actually win you a game quite regularly, as much as he does in real life I think.

I had a bad run, lost 6 on the bounce and my players were doing things like hitting the post from 5 yards, mis-controlling easy passes, being outpaced by Khedira, all of which should be shootable offenses.
Na he’s just quality, has the right stats to be a great keeper in this game.

Fecked up my WL. Played too much last night. 15 wins, 23 losses. So silver 1 for me. Honestly at most there was 5 games I deserved to lose. I hit post 2 or 3 times per game mbappe, martial, dembele and Costa from inside the box. Opponent has 2 or 3 shots from 30 yards with bakayoko and sticks 2 in top corner.
There are some cheap good special players cards around. I have a second team for fun with untradeables and some cheap fun players. One of them is Kokorin and PTG Rigoni. Both very good, Kokorin has a better output than 84 Ben Yedder. I would also suggest Marlos as a sub, he is excellent. After a while, i sell the bad players and keep the good ones for my main team as subs
I’ve played 5 games with it, and it’s absolutely insane. I really can’t believe how good it is, especially since I’m trying it out straight after dicking about with my previous shit teams. feck me that defense is impenetratable, and the midfield is as close to a wall as you can get. Alessandrini and Ben Yedder were a gamble but they have seriously impressed me, especially Alessandrini who I thought would be a bit shit but he’s fantastic. Ben Yedder top, considering his price. I don’t understand why he’s so cheap. 107k for that card is a bargain.

Squad building challenges are so time consuming. Are they worth persisting with and is there an easy way to find solutions?
Futbin has the cheapest solutions. Trouble is everyone reads them so those players tend to rise a lot, so if you've got a lot of players knocking around your club I'd stick to that route.
Okay and are the rewards worth it?
Also so many game modes on FUT.. which ones should I focus on tackling first? And beyond..
