After getting gold 1 in WL I can't see any reason to play midweek which is annoying. Drafts have become a chore and as much as I enjoyed squad battles, once you've played legendary a good few times its quite boring scoring the same goals over and over.

Surely wait for TOTY now which is usually around December. If you manage to pack one of them your team will be completely sorted.
They include players from the mid week games for next weeks TOTW right? Would love Young to get another left back card (would be 84) and Rooney to get one for his hat trick as a center mid. Would have 2if Young at left back, IF rooney at mid next to my untradable Kante, and Martial left wing as a lock in my team I think.
I've been using Ronaldo for a few days now, and I've got to be honest... Martial is just as good. If Martial picks up a TOTW or two this season he'll be the best card in the game bar none. Absolutely broken.
Anybody used Rio 85 or 88 or played against him? I need a CB icon i think, most defenders dont cut it for me, so i have to try out an icon and Rio seems the perfect fit. Nesta is also a possibility, but i would go for Rio first.
My first thought on the Rooney hat trick was that he’d fit in nicely at cm for me.
I have. He didn’t stand out at all for me really, didn’t feel anywhere near as quick as his stats would suggest either.
Care to share how to score these goals as I'm struggling most games when the tide goes against me?
Just boring possession keep ball. I use l1 and ground pass with a cm to my am. Then into the striker who usually has the cm just breaking through the offside line so he can play a through ball.

It's definitely a bit formulaic. I hate the fact I have to let the AI defend, but if I don't do the opponent has a clear way to goal.

Yeah I'd love to get back into pro clubs but I'm not on often enough to commit to it. With UT I can pick and choose when I get to play
Trashed some dude 7-1 in the DKT final. Still think Martial is better than Ronaldo, but Ronaldo's finishing is just unreal. The real star of the team is 88 rated Matthäus, though. I move him up to midfield and he just dominates in every game. Runs around like a lunatic and wins the ball so often, and has incredible shooting and passing as well. It'll be hard to stay away from his Prime SBC when it drops.
Ronaldo has everything which is what makes him so dangerous.
Feels a little clunky on the ball, which is a problem for me and my attacking style. His low balance is very noticeable and it prevents him from creating space for himself to shoot as effectively as Martial and IF-Jesus, for example. Once Ronaldo gets a free shot it's almost always a goal, though.
Has to be said, I've used Martial for over 140 games now and know him like the back of my hand. Once I get familiar with Ronaldo I'll probably be able to play to his strengths more efficiently. His goal return for me so far is exceptional in any case, so I'm not exactly disappointed. His price has also gone up by 250k since I got him, so I'm basically getting free coins just for having Ronaldo in my team. Can't say no to that.

@Baxter - He probably cheats and uses an autobuyer and seller bot to make money or something. Thats what 20m coins and you'd never, ever pack that team. Blatant cheating 2 months in. Not even real professionals have teams like that and they're on hundreds of grand per week.
Of course he has, hundreds of female characters on his Warcraft account.

@Carlsen19 - thats a seriously good team. I do find it unfair EA give the pro's there own 99 rated card though. Gives them a huge leg up. Not that I'd beat them anyway but its unfair certain players start the game with 99 rated player.

Real money, as in real professional players like Pogba etc.. not pro fifa players. In other words they can well afford to spunk thousands on the game. Even David Meyler apparently and he makes far less.

Think they've diluted the packs since Black Friday/Cyber Monday - too many people have packed top players, so they have to ease them now. I've opened about 15 packs since Monday (prizes from SBC/Drafts) and I haven't even had a board player let alone a decent one.
Likewise, I feel like a complete dick opening my weekend league prizes, feels like you’ve been scammed almost with how pathetic some of the packs are.

Think I've hit a brick wall with this. Only really enjoy improving my team, but that's so slow now. Match coins are insignificant without the boosts. Takes far too much effort just to upgrade one position once you're beyond the second tier prices.
Think playing without wingers is suicidal in this game. Every time i try to play with 2 strikers and 1 CAM and 3 midfielders, it all goes tits up, since i get destroyed on the flanks defensively and offensively lack width and pace to strech defenses. As soon as i switch to 433 or some other variation with wingers, i am winning again
Yeah I've no idea how people use that narrow 41212. I'd have to set the strikers to drift wide and then it would become pointless
