Gaming FIFA 17

I decided to give it another chance after the absolute madness last time I played since I've never tried the weekend league before. I won the first two very easily, but it wasnt hard to notice something happening at the end of the 2nd game. A kick off from the opponent ended up with me tackling my own player at the half way line, causing the ball to bounce back to the corner flag in my own half. My players jog (just subbed on) while I try to sprint, and just barely gets the ball. I try a simple, 5 yard pass to an umarked player when the game hits a driven pass in the opposite direction of where I'm aiming / the player is facing, hitting the ball against my own keeper who miskicks it, hitting my own player in the back, directing the ball back at the keeper who somehow saved but just pushes the ball into the feet of his striker who taps in the goal.

After that I've played 7 games. Lost all 7, not scoring a single goal. Not even open goals.

I actually had my pulse at 84% of my max at the end of the 5th game, but I just had to see just how ridiculous it can get. The tide shifted at the end of my last game where suddenly the other player missed every tackle, mistiming interceptions, somehow giving my players all the space in the world but I was simply too down and out to get anything out of it. It seems like something has happened in lately, because it's been absolutely fecking ridiculous for a few days now.

This must be a joke

Took forever to find a game there with all the backing out from people. Was actually curious how long it took so I checked the video from the PS share button. 4:30 seconds of searching for a game with about 15-20 backouts.

I hate the Fifa community with a burning passion.

After much frustration and spending obscene amounts on the shittest of players just to discard of them I finally have SBC Lacazette

Unfortunately I used up just about all my resources on him so the team around him was made on a shoe string budget. But I think this team has a lot of potential.

I do still have 50k left over. Not sure whether to buy a few cards to make it a bit less shit or save the money for maybe an IF Ousmane Dembele or something like that.

I'd prioritise on getting two new centre backs. Everyone seems to Smalling & Baiiley

Started off with 2 wins, now im on a 3 loss run. Just played a cnut that shot from impossible anhles all day to abuse the rebound thing and it paid off almost every time. Thats one think they really need to fix, annoying as feck.
No point for EA to try to start fixing something as broken as FIFA 17. It'd take tears
Renato Sanches is completely broken in this. Some garbage 78 overall should not be the reincarnation of Roy Keane and Patrick Vieira.
 Spot on

You guys were right about this Lacazette card. He is unreal.

Why do people do this??

From Reddit...

And look at the way Bale unnaturally arcs toward the ball. Scripting is fecking real.

 EA are a joke. I've seen this kind of thing so many times, it's not even a glitch, it's scripting.

The scripting where the goalkeeper deflects the ball directly to the opposition just happened to me  was up 2-0 and he scored this in the 84th minute
(not sure if you can see the change of direction properly)

Obviously he scored an equalizer in the 89th minute. Luckily I won 3-2

That's similar to what I was talking about a page or two ago but it was doing it around the centre of the pitch with both ball and players sliding unnaturally.

Just played against 2 goalkeepers in complete god form. Won both 1-0 as I had over 25 shots in both (crazy for fifa), but I couldn't finish for shit.

And now just beat some guy who had Ronaldo, aubamayeng, modric, bale, sergio ramos, de gea, alba (and some others). Was 5-0 up after 50 minutes and he quit. Just think of the amount of money this kid needed to spend to get all those players while being that shite. Was one of the worst fifa players I've played in the weekend league even though he had all those.

I'm super bored so I decided to do the Ligue 1 squad building challenge. That Lacazette card looks insane, has crazy reviews on futhead and I remember him raping me completely once so figured it's worth a couple of hours of blood, sweat and tears to get him. Hopefully my 80k coins is enough

Edit: looks like its going to cost a lot more than 80k

80k won't even cover some of the teams. It cost me at least 500k probably.

Im getting a stupid amount of injuries today. Every game seem to get one (last game got 2).

I also got loads today, not kidding. Ran out if injury cards for the first time. They've probably increased the likelyhood of that happening.
I never use injury cards really, rotate between 2 squads so if a player is injured it's no big deal. They're all fecking 2 games a piece though and literally someone gets injured every game. It's just been so stupid today. At 11 wins and 9 losses and I'm done for the day I think. Had to cram to get a lot of them in today since on Sunday I won't be able to so we'll see how many I finish with tomorrow.

Highly doubt I'll be doing the weekend league again in the next few weeks though. This last week or 2 has been frustrating because of playing too much fifa

Only managed to play 12 games yesterday but won 11 of them. I'm finally coming round to this idea of scripting though but I can't decide if it's due to me thinking it's going to happen and therefore it does.

Had a few games where everything I did came off and a few where nothing I did would work for me. Had to go ultra possession and build up a bit of control and then the game would allow me to play again. I seriously think it's just again major momentum error as you can get it to swing back in your favour it's just boring as feck doing it.

I think they've upped fatigue a bit. Normally I get two games per squad training card with the average being down to 91/92 on the first game. This week it's going down to 87/88 from just one game. I've checked the sliders and they aren't pressing any more than before.

I use 1 fitness card per game anyways. If it goes to extra time on your second game you're pretty much screwed

How many games in total have you played, what league have you reached? Scripting is alive and real. My friend started out from fresh and couldn't understand my frustation, he won his first 20 odd games flying up through the divisions and was like "there's nothing like that happening to me, you're just playing better people and are frustrated".

A few days later he called me raging "this f*cking game is so scripted, what a load of crap"

You can see from that GIF above, Bale is moving to where the ball is about to land BEFORE the shot even comes off the goalkeeper, that isn't natural at all. He's even dipping into it ffs.

I've played shit loads of games. Not in a place to check right now but I'd say easily over 4/500. I agree that he is moving to where it's going to land but as I said I think that's more to do with the momentum mechanic in the game being stupidly overpowered.

How else would they work momentum into the game without things like this?

Oh yeah in the tournaments I use 1 per game regardless, I'm talking League here where you don't really want to use a 1.2/1.4k card every game.

I suppose what you call momentum is all part of the scripting nature of it, they are actively working to support another player to get them back into the game. They don't want people winning games easily and winning league after league, they want you to struggle so you have to buy new packs for players/contracts/heal cards etc. They're very clever how they do it, but I can usually play about 3/4 games (win) and then feel a huge difference with it going against me.

Maybe you're just really good and can work around the scripting/momentum, but the amount of times I've held out in games fine until the last 5 minutes and then suddenly a dodgy pen/freekick/rebound costs me is ridiculous.

I don't feel like it's got anything to do with prior games but more how you're doing in the game you're playing. When you get on a good run you dominate play early doors and it reverts to the back to the wall type thing I was talking about earlier.

I'm not that great @Macern and @Emmet are both much better than me from people on here. I've got about a 2:1 ratio so not that amazing to be honest.

I've played over 300 games on seasons and haven't noticed notable scripting.

I agree with @Eddy_JukeZ that it's just a poorly coded/animated game in parts. That would also explain things like the above video where the ball rebounds to Bale. Essentially the game coders haven't got the skill to code or animate truly random ball movement and loose balls, so they have to code the ball to go somewhere based on probabilities. Unfortunately for the defending team in that case it chose Bale.

I do agree things like rebound goals and shitty random bullshit goals happen too often but I'd put that down to the fact that EA are miles off coding a perfect game which truly reflects football (are you ready for 45 actual minute halves with an average of 2.78 goals per 90 minutes?).

Interesting that it seems most complaints are raised about FUT. That makes sense to me. If you consider that the game is already poorly coded and is already struggling to deal with the litany of outcomes and probabilities from every scenario e.g. a 90 rated player shooting on his wrong foot at an 85 rated goalkeeper, but with an 87 attack position rated players following in for a rebound, then imagine how much it struggles when it has to layer on all that FUT bullshit too. Like your chemistry, and special cards, and conditioning. It will break the game.

Strangely addicted to offline Be a Pro at the minute.

Can't believe I have a game here that allows me to play with any club, with any players and at any level and I've decided to become a no-nonsense central defensive midfielder plying my trade at QPR in what has been an injury ridden career thus far.

Best comment on the forum ever

This pretty much sums up how I feel about the game st the moment. The fact they've tried to implement momentum as in what happens in real life has just added to the possibilities of the game/coding breaking down.

What are the advantages of buying a stadium in FUT? Do we get more coins or something?

It can make a difference as the pitch sizes vary and as said above. fecking shadows.
