Jordi Alba feels like he should be better then what he actually is. Rated really good and really fast but going forward he always seems kind of slow and weak? Alex Sandro has been by far the best full back I've used, and then Walker at right back.

Something else that has happened a lot lately - my players passing without me pressing any buttons. Has happened like four or five times in the last couple of days. Never happened before. Anyone else?

It's laughable that this game tries to enter the competitive scene and has so many auto AI actions in the game.
Played some tosser with Musa up front. He scored first, proceeded to do the dab and then watch every replay. Not long after I was up 5-1. Karma is a bitch.

played 10 so far, I'm 7-3 but the matches are terrible to play. I just can't be arsed at all. Complete tryhard fools, my hands actually hurt when I've played a few matches.
Smalling, walker, butland every single fecking game gets tedious. FIFA has a huge pool of players yet you Only face the same 20 or so players.
They should make a weekend league for silver only or no prem players allowed

It gives me great pleasure doing this back to silly c***s. One guy shhh me scoring a late equaliser but then I scored a free kick (last kick of the game). Then I get a message back saying "reported"

There's no other explanation for your players being slower, more clumsy and having awful passing one game, then the next they are incredible. Considering the amount spent in the game, it's an absolute disgrace that it exists. I was a top 500 player on FIFA 07/08/09 and the game is 100% more lotto since UT got introduced.

UT is infinitely broken. I can beat the #1 ranked player and lose to my grandmas dogs turd

Lost a game to two late rebounds. Knew they didn't look natural and they weren't. Goals in the 79th and 90th minute (I levelled in the mid 80's)....

The fact of the matter is, if you play 100 games your team should play the exact same every single game.
Play 3 games and your team will play totally different in 2 of those games at least. Not sure how anyone could disagree.

I was late in buying this game and after a few days of playing I don't like it which sucks. I didn't play fifa 16 so maybe the jump from 15 feels bigger. The game play feels too slow and its all interceptions and tackles, it feels impossible to dribble around people or do any skills too. Defenders go right though you. Its like everything that has bugged me about past fifas gameplay has been turned up and they have toned down the fun parts too.
Hmmm, I'll play better in some games sure, and get my arse handed to me in others. Often it's just because the formation/tactics/ability of the other player though, which affects my passing game and my ability to settle into my own play style.
There are broken elements of the game for sure. Cornergeddon, driven shots leading to rebounds, occasional input lag, and that's very frustrating when it works against you. But I must admit I don't think I've ever felt like my team is handicapped some way. It's weird. So many people are talking about it here so I've been carefully watching for it in my tougher games and defeats. But pretty much every time, I can put my defeat down to mistakes I've made.
Ended 20-20. Had my last 3 games to get gold 2 and lost 1 in the 119th minute, one with the guy parking the bus and one with the guy playing really slow possession and doing those standing fake shots while waiting for me to come
Ended 21-19. Worst thing is I started 9-1 and was cockily thinking "Definitely getting elite this week" before a combination of me shitting the bed and EA's antics put me back in my box.
Why can't they give red cards for keepers in online games? It's so irritating how a keeper is immune from being sent off. They should make you select a player/sub/gk before every match so they can be substituted automatically for you if the keeper committed a red worthy foul. It'd scandalous really.
On 21 wins with 10 games to go. Never got Elite and no chance I'm going 8 wins out of 10 in the final stretch. But wish me luck!
Couldn't quite get Elite. Finished 27 wins which is my best win total so can't complain. Seemed to have more fun this weekend. Only came up against Ronaldo 3 times

Shield shield shield - shield everything with the left trigger. When you do, you get the runners getting in behind rather than just passing to still players.
Sprinting - can't sprint past a defender anymore. But once your in behind your pretty much away, so make use of r button and Y.
Anyone have any more tips?? Preferably for finishing and long range shots.

Finishing for me is all about R1-O in 1vs1 or a L1-O f the keeper rushes. If the ball gets cutback across the area keep it down with a second tap of O or it balloons to Row-Z. Long range, just make sure it's on their strong foot and use R1-O if they are on the opposite side to their strong foot so they can finesse it to the far post.
I took a break after the last game, and returned for two 'normal' games before it happened again. Somehow I conceded 3 goals before the game had played 10 minutes, and everyone of them felt very strange.
A through-pass went through two of my players, before his player shrugged off Smalling and poked it home. Replay shows that my defender actually intercepted the through ball, but the ball went straight through his boot. Smalling was supposed to tackle the ball, guess who missed it by a pixel before simply stopping his run leaving the opposition player all alone.

How big a deal is a good keeper? I packed an IF Kasper Schmeichel and I am not sure whether to keep him or sell him. Would he really make a big difference over a regular Jack Butland?
It doesn't seem to matter who you keeper on this game. They are all capable of doing something amazing one minute then something stupid the next.

I need 7 from 9. Should have been 7 from 10 but Bailly got sent off in my last game for nudging the guy on the half way line with the rest of my team behind him. Never made elite and always finish gold 1 so I can guess what's going to happen over these next 9 games already. I'll be finishing late tonight so I'll let you all know when I have a meltdown.
What should I do to improve my 2 teams now? Or should I just save for the SBC's at this point. Would be willing to move away from the general shape but think I'll stick with this for a bit. (Also side note, holy feck the prices dropped like crazy from Friday to today. 100k combined drop from my 2 teams )

Answered my own question. Played a few games with Schmeichel and he is amazing.

First time ever playing the weekend league, and was at 18 wins with 11 games left. I lost the next 7 games in a row without scoring a single goal, so I'm not thankfully done with Fifa single player after trying out the weekend league. Absolute shite game.
