Once you qualify not really unless you think the rewards at the end are worth it! If it's a good pack and a few thousand coins then it's worth it probably.

Cheers, the tournament was much easier than expected seing as I won it but it still took me to pens / overtime for two of the games :( It's strange to not have people quit on you despite being 4-0 up though.
 
Any good replacements for Vardy to play next to Sturridge? Vardy is a bit shit. I've got 100k xbox

What formation you using?

I had 2 up top for a while but had to go back to 1 as Sturridge is miles above any other striker that doesn't cost the earth.

I think IF kane is less than 100k but never used him.

41212 with LM/RM but yeah I'm thinking of going back to 4-3-3(4). Only problem is I can't think of any decent right wingers in the pl. Miki is too slow and Willian is right footed. He could maybe work though, who are you using?

I sold IF Eriksen and got IF Shaqiri for 110k. He's a left footed RW and has been class for me, very well rounded card.
 
I'm installing it now on my xbox. Is there any stand out formations this year? Who are the op players in the premiership?

I skipped fifa 16 completely so I bet this game will feel a lot different to fifa 15, hope its good :)

OP formation: 4-3-2-1 probably
OP prem players:
  • Martial (30k)
  • Kante (25-30k)
  • Smalling and Bailly (~15k each)
  • Butland (3k)
  • Bellerin/Walker at right back (10k for bellerin, 20k for walker)
  • Herrera/Fernandinho are very good and cheap box to box players, dembele is 15k but a bit better then both but not a huge difference tbh
  • left backs are all meh
Personally love using Miki as well, though others prefer Mahrez or Willian (not a fan of either, and both more expensive). Best value for money striker is Diego Costa IMO, love using him. Other then that, putting Martial up top and getting someone else like Stering on the left.

Cool thanks. :) Glad to hear that some of the united players are good in the game, I will be using them, will definitely go for Mkhitaryan too.

The games taking ages to install.

Pick the formation you like. Some here prefer 4-1-2-1-2 narrow. I run with the 4-3-3(4)

Op players in the PL; Butland(!) Bailly, Smalling, Shaw, Kante, Martial and Sturridge

It's actually really annoying, bailly, smalling, kante, martial and butland are literally in over 90% of PL teams. Those that don't have Martial usually have a squad building challenge Son as he's pretty similar.
Then if it's another league, Renato Sanches is usually a staple in the squad. No matter how many coins people have. They're just incredibly OP players.

Same as previous years then haha. I want to complain but then I will probably use those players myself, its also fun too though building a variety of teams using different players.

Its currently at 56%, its going very slowly :/

Shaw with the shadow style is way better than any lther LBs in the league. You should try Smalling, Bailly and Shaw, they are way better than the spurs lads

Yeah I just won the div1 easily 1st try with my team containing Butland, Bailly, Shaw, Sanches, Kante, Pogba, Martial and Sturridge. Usually I struggle. It's boring as feck, but hey, the game is about exploiting as much as possible. The times I don't come up against teams with these players are games I know I'm going to win easily.
 
:lol: This game is ridiculously rigged, it's unreal!

Played 5 games in a row where I hit the woodwork 4 times in every game, and the keeper making some amazing saves which I've never seen before. Martial missing shots that I literally never misses several times each game, and I've conceded so many goals from a player facing away from the goal and slapping one into the net. As a matter of fact, I just failed to win the Div 3 title due to a Cahill wrong footed strike, whilst facing away from the goal, from about 40 yards right smack in the upper corner of the goal. The second after kick off? The final whistle :lol:

Please tell me I'm not crazy, as this happens so many time after winning a decent few games in a row. Everything is going wrong, defenders are missing easily controllable balls and literally everything goes to shit.

How about simple 10 yard passes that fly 30 yards back the field into the other teams strikers feet, or random lumping of the ball when in control without pressing a button, I think the most broken thing is close post corners with Costa just place it inside the small box with 3 bar power and it's either a goal or another corner.

Just got an untradeable IF Lacazette in the gold upgrade squad builder challenge. Any way to fit him into this team without drastically changing it too much? Open to changing formation as well.

Serie A doesn't have too many french players, without changing anything really you could drop Hamsik, put Lacazette up top and put Niang as a CAM (with the position change of course). Also switch naingollan and marchisio for better chem which would matter with Lacazette top. Lacazette would have 8 chem max after the loyalty and manager boost, so it's not bad. Probably worth it still.

You could also switch to a 4-4-1-1 and just change Niang to a CF instead of CAM, though that formation isn't used all that often. Doesn't matter I guess since you can just change in game?
 
Just met a FIFA-'bro' with Bailly, Smalling, Butland and those guys. He made subs after 1 min, and played with 'park the bus' from kick off. Thankfully the guy was trash, and I had to teach him a lesson with rainbow flicks and the likes, just so he maybe wises up in the future.

Good shout. 8 chem is pretty good. I might just do a big overhaul soon. Had that team from near the start of Fifa.

I feel like I change at least one of my 2 teams after every weekend league I do :lol:. Get sick of them after the 40 games or more throughout the weekend and week before. Think the only team I'll settle with long term is my mostly United with a bit of other prem players team, as you can do a really good one for cheap.

If you're looking for ideas with a lacazette team... SIF Lemar card looks great though I've never used it, and then you can have Martial as well as a french front 3. Or pair him with Griezmann if you have the coins. Matuidi/kante/ben arfa in midfield... French cards have the most fun looking teams in this game
 
I'm super bored so I decided to do the Ligue 1 squad building challenge. That Lacazette card looks insane, has crazy reviews on futhead and I remember him raping me completely once so figured it's worth a couple of hours of blood, sweat and tears to get him. Hopefully my 80k coins is enough

Edit: looks like its going to cost a lot more than 80k

I hate this, why play the game if you are not getting any enjoyment out of it that you have resort to this from the word go, its just stupid play and have fun.

It looks like a lot more than 80k the angers squad will cost a fair bit alone with the cheapest RW going for 9k and the keepers going for 3k
