Is this weekend league on ultimate team worth getting in to? Or is it more of an advanced squad game? As I'd be starting with a shit team haha
It's probably the best change they made to a game mode in years. Gives you a reason to keep going back and building on your ultimate team. It is tough though and gets frustrating as feck, so if you aren't very good then you'll struggle and it'll put you off it. You can make a very good premier league team that can be competitive in it for relatively cheap, but it still takes a while to build up and keep in mind a lot of people have pretty crazy teams by this point...
Anyway, you can kind of gauge how it'll go through the qualifying tournys. If you can't qualify or really struggle making it, then the league will normally be a struggle. If you do it no problem, then you'll do okay.
Planning my new team. Decided I'll keep my premier league/United one and just slowly upgrade that one since it's only around 200k, so I can make a 2nd team for around 500k. Thinking on who I should put next to Lewandowski in my front 3. It's a LaLiga/Bundesliga mix, but my front 3 is currently Reus/Lewa/Mov Bellarabi. Not sure how Reus or Bellarabi play so maybe it's better if I do Douglas Costa and IF Dembele on the wings? Always the toughest choice for me is who to pick for the wingers, as those 2 leagues don't really have any realistic stand out choices unlike the premier league.
Yeah same problem here. This system is catered towards the very young (school-college) and/or the jobless and/or the female companionless. 25 games should be more than enough.
Edit: maybe not the jobless, since it is in the weekend but I can't imagine many full time working people having enough time and energy for 40 try hard fifa games over the weekend.

Nah, I didn't disconnect it I just basically half arsed played while paying attention to other shit. Rarely ever disconnect from games as I'd still rather take the 500 coins
I'm in uni but I still couldn't imagine playing 40 games every weekend. Takes up the entire weekend basically. Or at least 2 full days of the 3. PC I think has it at 25 games and they should have done the same on the consoles, would probably have more people to do it consistently. Just way too much of a drag to do it every time with 40 games.

I just scraped into gold 3 monthly and I'm chuffed to bits with that because now I can get 3 of those cool red/gold inform cards. Taking a few days off FIFA though now.

Really think that DC screwed me out of a repeat 40-0. Was on a roll, but that DC pissed me off. My play slipped after that.
Definitely pleased getting in the top 100 though. 37 wins minimum at the moment on PS4 needed.

Courtois is very good for me, he makes some amazing saves, the best keeper I've had and I've had them all.
Yeah Courtois is great for me too. I opted for him after reading up about goalkeepers and the article suggested that as they are the only total-AI controlled defensive player, the difference between them is actually very limited. The only obvious difference is the player height and having a tall goalkeeper is a huge advantage as they literally cover more of the goal and are vastly superior with crosses.
111/112. Missed out monthly elite rewards by 1 win because of the christmas weekend (would give me 11 red IFs instead of 3)
Plus top rated GK's are great for counter attacking as they have the long throw out.
Pretty much every keeper can do that now though with r1/rb and A/X
Can't say I've ever had any problems with Begovic, stops most things for 1.5k. 50k+ for a keeper makes no sense to me.

That's the low, driven throw out. I'm talking about launching it up to the half way line at full speed. Neither Butland or Begovic can do that for me yet when I come up against De Gea, Lloris, Neuer and Courtois, they can.

I hate the penalties in this game, i thought the last set up was bad but this is brutal, i tap to aim fill the bar up adequately and the fecking thing just rolls along the ground, thats after i got fifad with one of those that you see in videos of, off the post, keeper saves, keeper saves, i think he saved again and wide.

That's nearly all I play, I get to the final of it everytime but seen as though I'm already qualified I usually just let the other guy win in the final. You only get a measly 500 coins for winning it and a crappy gold pack.
Eh, division 3 is more then good enough. I'm only div 4 (though I would be higher if I played seasons more). Most of the people in the daily tournaments are pretty shit I find. Once you qualify not really unless you think the rewards at the end are worth it! If it's a good pack and a few thousand coins then it's worth it probably.
