Gaming FIFA 17

I did not play against AI in FIFA 16. 17 feels quite good, it apparently has adaptive AI. I've played several games and all were fun, Tottenham game they figured me out halfway through the game and even though I was leading 1-0 at half-time, they used their wingers a lot in the second half and scored three. Against Middlesbrough I dominated the game and won easily, then had a tight game with Leicester who played counter attacking game and drew 1-1. I might actually start MyCareer this year and play full seasons with United, the feeling of Premier League is absolutely great. Shame you have to create your own manager and can't just use Mourinho.

Graphics are absolutely freaking gorgeous.

Sounds good man, I do like playing a career mode here and there so that's great news on the AI. Fifa 16 was unplayable for me in that regard. I've just got it over with and pre-ordered it for delivery on day one from Gamestop. No point in kidding myself any further, I always end up buying it.

Does anyone know why it keeps telling me to wait for the launch date even though I bought it through ea access? Anyone else having this issue?

Absolutely love building a team from scratch when the new FIFA comes out. Is anyone going for a BBVA team this year? Any recommendations on new players?

I did. You need to go into the ea access app, and click into FIFA through there only. Won't work if you just try Fifa from the regular games library

Thanks. I will try again today. Do you think it's because I've started downloading the game and then installed access app?

Na, Don't think so. It's just that you need to go into it via the access page once the game is downloaded.

I remember why I hate UT now.

I just played an all French team. Varane laporte coman griezemann etc.

30 seconds into the game. He makes subs, suarez, abamaeuang? And veron.

My best player is jese and I have just 2 shinys.

In fairness I still fancied my chances, but the lag everytime I got near the goal was horrendus.

I haven't played one equally shit team like mine yet.

Just saying; this is par the course for Early Access, mate. Mostly just the hardcore players are playing, and the upper divisions are filled with people belonging in division 10.

I have an all bronze squad, from the Japanese league. They are all pretty shit. I cannot score against the Amateur/Semi-Pro AI. It's pretty hilarious, but it feels really frustrating. I was decent at 16, but I just can't seem to score here. Does anyone have any tips?

I have the FIFA 17 companion app. Liked the look of Can's card so I sold Cleverley for 550 coins which would have given me enough for Can, and I just wasn't given the coins

Has that happened to anyone else?

I've had the chance to play it a little more today, I decided I like it a lot. I played FA Cup, first time in my life I enjoy playing AI in FIFA. Got Colchester, was all over them but they put 11 men behind ball and I had to rely on a late winner. Then played Hull away, they had a go at me early on but I countered a few times so they sat back. I scored a 90th minute winner with Pogba and my entire bench went to celebrate. Stoke at Old Trafford in the fifth round beat me 1-0 through counter attack, I had loads of chance but they defended well.

A lot of improvements over 16.

What's different about it though? I often find the novelty of the new game makes it feel interesting, but it sort of reverts back to the same old patterns, with the same old issues after a few weeks. I know you can't forecast how it's going to feel in a few weeks time, but is it radically different?

It's much more difficult and doesn't allow to easily pull off amazing plays. It's far better now because pace and physics are spot on but they might indeed patch this out.

What difficulty were you playing on?

Anyone else playing Journey? Started the game - chose United and was only getting 20-30 mins - finding it hard to make an impact (only controlling Hunter) and only scoring 2 before I was loaned out. I chose Newcastle and find it much easier in the Championship. I am hooked to it and I wonder if others get a different story. I wonder how many seasons this will go for.

I chose Hull so I could get more playing time, just been chose to go on the US pre season with them.

I wonder if it's the same though? I guess Walker still chooses the same team as you? I picked striker - Zlatan gets injured and Rooney and Rashford don't exist... A big money signing comes in and takes #10.

Yeah walker signed for hull too. I chose CAM so itll be hard to compare, plus Hull aren't exactly busting with star players either  I think I'll end up with a couple saves on this mode, or play it multiple times and choose different things.

I sucked in the first 11 a side training match, only got a 6.1 rating so ended up 2nd of the group in the end. It's a fun mode for sure.

First thing I will play is Journey I reckon.

Can you choose to control the whole team? I dunno wether to just control the player.

Also I dislike the pro camera, is tele decent in this mode?

Played it a bit more and I do like it, but the corners are absolutely feckin' shit...

The new penalty system is great though.

Not played the game a lot on EA Access, but I can safely say the input lag from the demo hasn't been sorted. Which is really disappointing. Maybe it's not input lag though, it could be that you have to sort out player positioning so that no delay occurs, and this removes the "arcadey" feel to the game. However, even in an optimal position, there's input lag.

I think it's more to do with the new game engine. It makes the players feel "heavier" if you know what I mean. I've found the players with better ball control and dribbling react quicker to button input, I could be wrong though.

Really enjoyed the early access. Spent most of it playing Co-op season, and myself and brother agreed it's the most fun we've ever had with Co-op, taking into account we've been playing together since I can remember.

Uber is doing a promotion where you can win it for the X-Box today. I'm in the office (football related work) and we've already won 4 copies. Anyone want to buy it?

What? I typed in the code, not planning on taking a taxi anywhere but those odds sound really good?

Well after a match it doesn't say much but if you click you character it shows some attributes, then quickly ups some without enough time to see, then there are some skill points...

So your player growth is based on ratings per match. Your attributes increase in relation to the position you play. Skill points are used to buy traits, which you add in the "player growth" tab in the pro player screen.

Excited for it to finally come out tonight, made sure to download it over the weekend as it's a huge file size so I can start right when it's out. Will probably do the Journey first (and a bit of pro clubs), though I do always like to make a solid team on Ultimate team. Saved up 15k coins on that from buying and selling a few players but it seemed easier last year to save up coins. Think I had like 40k by the time the game came out last year. feck it though, I hardly end up playing ultimate team anyway, just get a team and that's that.

Does anyone know when it's going to be released? Like what time? Hoping for 00 NY time
Midnight for me on PS4 in Canada (EDT). So 5 hours behind the UK (or 4 hours because of daylight savings or whatever.. It's 10:30 right now, so out in 13 and a half hours.

Was it Harry Kane on your game?

Rooney does exist, he was No 15 on my game once Kane came in, or someone who looked exactly like him, and was called Rooney...

I've just been farmed off to Newcastle on loan, and then it stopped, saying I had to buy the full game...

What is the difference between Standard and Deluxe Editions? I'll mostly be playing career mode and the journey, not interested in FUT at all. A standard edition should do, right ?

Ignore Deluxe if you're not into FUT, the only advantage is having some packs delivered to you every week.

Yep! I wonder if it is the other featured players depending on what position you pick, such as Rodriguez, Reus etc.

I chose Newcastle as well for my loan club - I got the full version (it was released early I guess in Hong Kong) - got knocked out of the League cup by Leicester - wonder if that effects anything
