Gaming FIFA 17

Got Lingard in my first pack and then 5 loyalty packs utter rubbish really.. all 5 rare cards were bronzes :(

Just bought Ben Davies 78 and Zabaleta 82 for a combined 600 coins:D

Thanks for the help, does everyone get free packs?

Depends on how long you have had FUT I believe.

As an FUT founder i was given 5 loyalty packs. Plus you may pick up some stuff as a daily gift.

I got Schneiderlin and Borja Baston, and loads of crap. Won't complain, it's not too bad! Can't trade though so it's all a bit irrelevant in my eyes.

God my luck with packs is shocking! People pulling United players and complaining feel for me I got zero prem players never mind gold. My legend loyalty pack contained Suker which is a winner though.

Load of rubbish from my packs. Best players I got were Gelson Martins and Javi Garcia. They were the "rare" gold I got. Also got Morgan De Sanctis. Bleh.

I'm a casual player and don't really play online or any of the single player modes - I end up buying it most years out of habit or boredom and only play when mates come over, so I didn't get 2016. Thought skipping one year would mean the differences were noticeable but I didn't think a lot of the demo or could see where 2 years of development have gone, although it looks great and is very polished.

Anyway with Pro Evo being £26, I've done the unthinkable and given the other side a go...we shall see and I'll probably end up with both.

I know

8gb down so far. Downloading quickly.

I'm on about 7gb but I will only be going on after the match anyway so as long as it's finished by then I'll be sweet

How the feck do you log out of the web app?!

I will leave it downloading for the night, will easily take 6-7 hours.

A couple of games in and it doesn't feel like the demo for me, although I was playing the demo on PS4 and full on Xbox One so it may feel different. It's reasonably good but hard to tell much after very short time.

Have early access downloading while i'm work. Looking forward to the game modes but not the actual game, unsurprisingly.

Will probably just start a throwaway career and keep The Journey till the full game, but not sure yet as progress will carry over anyway.

I am surprised at how much I enjoy The Journey. I really enjoy the RPG-ish aspects of traits. I just loved unlocking badges, etc. in Be A Pro. I'm really enjoying it. Story is what you'd expect, nothing special, but it works for setting the stage.

You can control full team in Journey too, right?

That's actually awesome as playing with one player I find absolutely boring, you get the ball for maybe 20% of the game and the rest is generic stuff. Maybe if it offered first person view it'd actually be reasonably cool. Or playing in TPP but then it's hard to have awareness about what's happening on the pitch.

I never bought into using the pro cam, felt like it made everything sluggish, and of course you can't see whats going on ><

Love it a lot so far, Journey mode is fun and the pace is far slower than 16 which is a great start. Passing, shooting and crossing all feel better and God, is this absolutely gorgeous

Mignolet

Johnson
Funes Mori
Luis Hernandez
Bertrand

Ayew
Imbula
Cleverley
Khazri

Rondon
Borja Baston

Managed to get this side together just from using the app, not a great team but it'll do to start with! Going to get some players on loan from the start anyway.

How's it play online?

It's decent. Corners are ridiculously overpowered though. Must have scored about 7 and two overhead kick from them in about 10 games.

There are a few things that EA should patch. But I hope they don't go overboard like last year.

First time in a while that Man Utd have got a decent team in Fifa. Maybe since FIFA 09.

Is it better to play against the AI on world class without messing around with the sliders? FIFA 16 was hideous.

Absolute bastard of a game, gave me a black football for use in ultimate team, it's near impossible to see in an evening kickoff with fog type weather or whatever. I had 3 shots, 1 on target one goal luckily, other lad had 13 shots 7 on target, 0 goals  he will have been pissed, although he had a proper team, I just had loads of odd jobs

I did not play against AI in FIFA 16. 17 feels quite good, it apparently has adaptive AI. I've played several games and all were fun, Tottenham game they figured me out halfway through the game and even though I was leading 1-0 at half-time, they used their wingers a lot in the second half and scored three. Against Middlesbrough I dominated the game and won easily, then had a tight game with Leicester who played counter attacking game and drew 1-1. I might actually start MyCareer this year and play full seasons with United, the feeling of Premier League is absolutely great. Shame you have to create your own manager and can't just use Mourinho.

Graphics are absolutely freaking gorgeous.

I played about 8 games of pro ranked, few as a centre back and one or two up top. Rating seems easy to keep at around 7.0 if you do things simple. I had a mare in one game, gave away 2 penalties, we lost 3-0, but I got a few tackles in and passed the ball off while in the correct position and I got a rating of 7.1!! Playing as a team also ups your rating like no other - any gloring cnut running with the ball fecks it all up. Few people still try to do the sideways runs, can work at times to get past the first defender but AI defence is much better and often cleans up. Remains to be seen if it stays thay way once peoples players are 89+ CAMs

I then tore into the journey for the craic. The cut scenes are already a bit boring.

Have to wait until the 29th for feck sake. Don't like the dribbling in Fifa 16 so hopefully that has changed. FIFA 11 is when I hit my prime, unbeatable I was.. The good old times :(

This is absolutely wonderful to hear.

Do you know if your Pro rating decreases with bad match ratings?

That's good to hear about the AI. Maybe there was work done to it after the demo version. What difficulty were you playing?

Not had a poor enough rating to see. To me it looks fairly hard to get a low rating anyway, as per my example - even giving away 2 penos you aren't too badly effected initally, so keep your position and not try Messi run all the time and you are golden. I might try it for the craic over the weekend and see if it reduces.
