Also, if you want we can keep playing? You're the one who quit after I came back from 1-2 down to beat you 3-2. I don't know why I assumed you would be a bit more gracious in defeat, particularly as close defeats as they were. I didn't mind your.. erm.. confidence, but really, c'mon.
 
played my first online head to head at last, i was united he was barca was winning 2-0 and then he quit, not a bad start so far
 
I'll ask again. Is the Ultimate team mode on this game or will it be a downloadable extra?

What do you mean quit? I didn't want to play another because I had dinner? Stop chatting shit mate, it's quite aggravating when you just keep making stuff up to try and get one up. Just leave it. My passing was bad in that first game, but I still beat you comfortably
 
Good game earlier Nimic, I know I should be used to it now, but scoring from chips is just bloody horrific! Can't believe you mages to get it up, over my keeper and into the goal.. From the 6 yard box!

Not sure what happened, pretty even game but I just couldn't get my shots anywhere near goal!

Is everyone around this weekend for some team games? Abybodys Pro anything but a striker?!

Yeah, good game. I've gotten my chips on target today, lately I've been having problems (as in either straight to the keeper or straight to Row Z). It was a pretty close game, though. We'll have to repeat it later sometime, repeatedly. I love playing people who are around my skill-level. :cool:

My Pro is more of a winger. I've played up front, but my only use there is to pass the ball to someone else for a tap-in, and possibly to tap one in myself, assuming the goal is quite literally straight ahead. Once I play Pro my finishing turns to shit.

Fair enough. I am contemplating in taking my player as far as I can in 4 seasons as a striker, then going back over as a CM, purely to get rid of the bulk of players. My Router is a little bit shite, so I haven't been able to play alot online, which explains why my pro is pretty good at the minute, and my other Fifa play is.. um.. not so good.

I am virtually free most of the weekend, it would be god to get a few games going during the day as well as in the evenings too this weekend.
 
I just tried to create a new game face and the picture it loaded wasn't mine ::lol: It's some young boy that looks about 8 years old. It's probably just a default but you never know with them.
 
Good game there niMic. As soon as I realised how good they were in the air I just started smashing everything up.
 
Another close game. Both games were close but I think I was deserving of the win in the first one. The second one could have gone either way. If it wasn't for that huge bit of luck and the Ben Foster style keeping you would have still been in it. That's me done for tonight mate. Going to take a break before the poker starts.

Yeah, there was that chip that wasn't to be. You dominated the play, though. To be fair, my 2-2 goal was quite jammy itself. Then again, I did have a few good chances, so maybe you're right. Still, it was competitive, and I crave no more..

I do wish that long range chip would have gone in though :(
 
I forgot to say, that would have been stunning if it had gone in. I still don't understand my third goal. It was like 50 yards out. I first thought my striker had headed it, then I thought your defender had scored an own goal. Then I thought your keeper had headed it in. I didn't think I had somehow lobbed you :lol: :(

I'm getting more and more frustrated with this game everytime I play it ffs. It makes me want to rip my TV off the wall.

Shooting and goalkeepers are my main gripe with it! maybe it's just me? I dunno.
 
I've turned so rubbish at shooting that I've resorted to using chips a lot. Which, ironically, wouldn't have worked so well if the keepers were as good as they should be. I just don't feel confident shooting at all, in FIFA10; compared to FIFA09 where I considered myself a pretty damn good shot. Hell, even in the FIFA10 demo I felt pretty comfortable with it after a while.

I'm kind of the same, I feel much less confident when through on goal than I was in 09 where I was basically guaranteed a goal. I don't chip much though, feels like cheating, it's too easy.
 
Shooting definitely feels different from the demo.

I seem to cock up 80% of my 1-on-1's with the keeper. They either go wide, or straight to the GK.
 
GE, as per usual, you are right in your opinions.

The keeping is gradually pissing me off more and more. As I said, in a game with Nimic, he managed to chip my keeper from the 6 yard box. My keeper literally duck to let it in. Extremely strange.

Our games are usually tight, but goalfests. I don't think we've ever had a 1-0, it's usually 5-4 or something equally ridiculous. Although that Kevin Doyle screamer :eek: I'll have to give niMic a game sometime if he fancies.

Oh and my pro is now a cb, so if i do play as any i can be safe in the knowledge we have at least one defender over 6 feet tall!
 
feck sake, i'll ask for the third time is the ultimate team mode on this game or will it be a downloadable extra?

Yeah, keepers are shocking mate. They're either TOO good, or just plain stupid. A patch needs releasing to fix them.

I hate when they run out automatically when one-on-one. You double tap 'triangle' for him to return to his goal line, but he either stands there or takes 1 or 2 seconds to respond and usually ends up getting lobbed anyway!
