I'm tapping out.
Ridiculous situation.
Ridiculous situation.
That is what we have to hope. That there is something big on the horizon, as long as it is player/s we do actually need.Fellaini’s decision to remain at the club he joined from Everton for a fee of £27.5million in 2013 will allow United to redirect some of this summer’s transfer budget to alternative targets.
Woodward has to take some of the blame - he's supposed to be overseeing the running of the club. We need a good DOF we've needed one since SAF retired. Woodward doesn't have a plan and that's my issue with him.
Great news if true . An excellent player with passion for the shirt
We do but giving new contracts to mediocre players is a strange way of going about improving.
As long as you're ok sleeping on my floor you're more than welcome.I might join you, mate, the alcohol is much cheaper in Poland than Norway
I agree. I can see why José can see a place for him in the squad!Great news if true . An excellent player with passion for the shirt
He may be mediocre at some things, but he is the best at other things.
If we were playing Barca for example, I would not attempt to beat them at a passing game (that's suicide). I'd try and force them into a physical battle, as that's where I'd stand the best chance of beating them.

The elbows and physicality is important to have, in some matches.

I'm not saying that Fellaini is a starter, but he is excellent to have on the bench. The Arsenal match, where we were deadlocked at 1-1 for most of the match is a great example. Fellaini comes on the pitch and immediately Arsenal's defence fell apart. Most defenders simply don't know how to handle Fellaini, especially when he is coming off the bench and playing in advanced positions.
The Fellaini and Martial substitution which I saw at the start of the season was brutal and allowed us to score 3 goals within 10 minutes.
A silver lining. But it makes me depressed that our choice seems to have been between Arnautovic and Fellaini.Well atleast we are not signing Arnautovic now.
Maybe we signed him as VAR not coming in next season as thought, because I would not fancy those elbows with our VAR panels. He may be mediocre at some things, but he is the best at other things.

Exactly.I don't care as long as he's a squad player, there were times where bringing him on to keep a lead were really effective. Only annoying thing about it is the comments he made regarding the new contract. I'm looking more on the positive side where it would give us more funds to focus on much larger issues in the team such as RW and LB.
However if we're starting him in crucial CL knockout games then Mourinho can get to feck.
It really is depressing news. The top teams have squad players that would start for most teams and these squad players have the quality to push the first teamers and make them fight for their place as well. So the argument that Fellaini should stay as 'plan B' is dead for me. Add the fact that his presence in the team means that we have to play in a certain way and that we end up losing control of the midfield means it's very difficult to justify him staying. People love to stick it into Pogba for his languid and laidback style of play but Fellaini is even worse. He just jogs around without any discipline and you'd see people here praising his attitude and mentality. The only positive I can see from this is that it gives Mourinho one less excuse if we don't reach our targets next season. This is a fecking horrible news as far as I'm concerned. How the feck do we wanna move forward as a club if we keep players that aren't just suited for the highest level of technical performance required. I mean which other serious club with big aspirations would wanna keep and make feel validated a player like Fellaini.
I have nothing against him but our club is a fecking joke at times, spending money on washed up players, injuried, overrated players and keeping for long periods of time players who are technically decent at best if not bad. feck this
I cannot fecking believe Manchester United is bending backwards for Marouane Fellaini
We're not talking about a Ballon d'Or potential nor a world class player ffs, he's made statements that a player who wanted to leave made.

Or we are that stupid ?You have got to hand it to Fellaini, that he has managed to negotiate a deal that both increases his salary and ensures he remains at the club for the forseeable future is the work of a genius.
Fellaini is a genius.
Pretty much. We would never get the ball off them.Of all the combinations in which Fellaini could be helpful, playing him against Barcelona sounds like the worst idea ever.
Hope so. When we hired him, I thought Mourinho was a winner. Boy was I wrong, he's lost his ambition in a big way.Mourinho will be gone by Christmas anyway.
Another positive could be the saving of some funds but at the same aren't we one of the richest if not the richest club in the world ?It really is depressing news.
