Is it me or does any one actually trust prices that are quoted in the new paper? I feel like it goes: oh £25m? that a bit much, but what's thats in euros? 34m? that's a lot. Can't believe their paying £34m for this guy. What is that in Euros? 47m?

Any way, wouldn't mind him. He has talent, that's for sure and if he makes the step up to this new league; could be one of our signings of the season. Purely as we have no one like him in our squad.

They give him to you for 15-20 million, not even a regular starter at Lazio...
 
I have watched him sometimes this season. To be honest, he looks avarage and inconsistent. But more dynamic and faster than Mata. Memphis was way better when he was in PSV.
I hope to be wrong, but I think players like Griezmann, Lucas Moura, Mahrez, Mane or Sane are better.

Sounds about right for Utd now.

Having to pay double for panic buys.

Selling clubs know they can ask for and get silly money from Utd.

This will end badly.

I don't think we will pay silly money for him. we paid 27 for Memphis. Doubt we would even pay up to that for this guy. All this assuming our interest is real.

Sometimes he scores great goals and does great plays, but at the end he is incostistent for for the 3/4 of the season

A mix between Nani and Zarate.

He is young, maybe he will improve.
 
If it's happening let's get the deal done ASAP, we don't have time to mess about anymore. We need something different, otherwise we're out of the race for top four.
 
Since we got linked to him months ago I took the time to watch Lazio matches abs let's just say he's been underwhelming. No doubt the talent is there but being quick and being able to do a step over or will get anyone noticed. Sane is the better option IMO.

Not sure we are any different from City or Chelsea in the fees we get asked to pay. The fees recently since LVG came in Di Maria aside have been very shrewd imo.

Why in the hell would the club give any large amount of money to Lvg when he's not going to be at the club soon.

Maybe it's more of a club signing like Shaw, and possible Herrera were, by all accounts he's been scouted for along time, and given we may not have too much competition for him January, and the fact we are short of pace and wingers, it is just thought it's now or never with him, and LvG will just have to accept it.

Just guessing obviously, but it makes even less sense that he would be an LvG choice in the first place.

Felipe Anderson is inconsistent and that's not what we need now. BTW, Sane looks like a gem, he's a real talent for the future like Martial.
 
I've said for ages that I suspect that we will sign Felipe Anderson eventually. He'd be a gamble, but then we are due to get lucky on one frankly. Other sides seem to get lucky on them more often, then we are trying to get them years later for double.

I'd prefer Sadio Mané personally though. Much h better close control from what I've seen.
 
Would be an odd signing, massively over priced, inconsistent and not even a guaranteed starter at lazio. He is also sort of player LVG has no patience with and would spend rest of season on bench.

We will be dithering until the end of the window, and whilst we're dithering, Chelsea and City will pick up top class players with ease.

Very sure the £35m quoted figure is bullshit. I would be pleased if we sign him and I'm sure he would improve us. Doesn't mean I wouldn't have preferred other players.

In an ideal world, I'd prefer Sane or Mane to Anderson but it is what it is and we have to make do with the opportunities presented to us.

Januzaj coming back next year might be what is preventing us from going all in with Sane. Similar age and similar profile, except Januzaj is more incisive with his passing and Sane is much more pacey.
 
I don't know much about him, but i could swear there were loads of folks in here who were clamouring for him previously.
