Federico Chiesa | Liverpool agree initial 13m (Euros) fee

Isn't he mostly on the left? Did always like him but haven't seen him since the injury. Seems to have had a lot of muscle issues post knee surgery too, something to watch out for. I know he has played on the right in the past, but whoever we sign should be purely for the right. I quite like having the traditional right footer on the right wing tbh, but I'm not sure this is what Ten Hag goes for. But either him or Pedro Neto I'd be happy with.

I'm sure he's played more on the right than the left over the course of his career. He's very two-footed, so I don't think it really makes a difference to him anyway. This season he's been playing centrally, just off Vlahovic.

he's played on both sides and he's just as comfortable playing on either wing b/c he's two footed.....he would be a very good signing in january if somehow we could manage to pull it off

If we can get him for a reasonable fee and contract we should totally take the gamble. I remember Gundogan signing for city, he had pretty bad reputation at Dortmund and a lot of us at the caf didn't want the club to get him due to his injury issues but what coup it ended up being for Man city.

A Pedro Neto is more likely. Thanks to being insude out as a winger

On the left? Huh? Has something changed at Juve for him because almost all of his games were RW/RF or RCF at Fiorentina.

See now that's the really worrying thing. He's been injured so much that nobody seems to remember where he plays anymore!

He was going to be absolutely world class before his injuries, don't know about now though. Incredible work rate and technical ability, the exact opposite to Sancho.

The only way we ever sign these sort of players is when they are at the last stage of the career or their bodies already wrecked by injuries.

Need to stay away from injury prone players. We have enough injuries this season.

Isnt he knackered after his most recent injury though?

His long-term injury was in 21/22, in 22/23 he missed 16 games, last season he missed 11 games.

but I am not sure if that bad knee injury 3 years ago affected his form/ability/physicality

He is injured far too often and has been out of form for about 2 years

I dont think he has been the same since his injury. I might be wrong as i dont watch Juve too often, but he lacks the sparkle he had before. I have not seen him shine like previously, if it is down to bad form or injury i dont know. But there is just something missing, it was stark contrast this Euros to the last one. He was easily a level above, now he is trying, but it isnt there as previously.

I think that's probably the case, even last season he missed 11 games only but he still played few mins (if I recall total mins by 90 is about 22 games or so) seems he was either not completing full matches and/or came off the bunch

Juventus seemed to sign him without a plan of how to effectively use him. They've flooded midfield with a 5 for years now so he sometimes gets in as a wide midfielder/wingback, but he isnt a big defender. Last season he was at least used in attack up front with Vlahovic in a 2 - which is how Fiorentina used them before they were split up and sold to Juve. Being a winger and Juventus not really using actual wingers has made it a little harder to gauge his performance but his end product is probably a bit too small even considering that. Think he can do better and the right move could see him fulfil his potential

Should hit them with a loan with option to buy Italian special, wages partially covered of course

We need a no. 6 and a CB, but we're going after a winger with dodgy ACL's?

Average player. Living off the hype from 3 years ago.

Id rather swap him for Sancho rather than Sterling but both option are pretty meh
