I'll answer this, I was bored last night couldn't be arsed with my regular games so just bought the pre order version because I could afford it and 2-3 hours of my time last night was worth it. Over the next 4-5 days I reckon I'll play another 2-3 hours a day atleast, which would make my overall playtime 12 hours minimum, which means I've paid like 7-8 quid an hour for something to do. Whereas my other hobby, drinking, would cost me about £13 an hour, and I don't just do 2-3 hour sessions of that.
A lot of the lads I work with play it every year (I think I missed 2 years) and they enjoy it, so I know I'll also get some game time with them, and do the pro clubs stuff.
£20 extra for a week early is stupid in a way, but, I haven't bought it for 2 years, and nothing has changed, so ignoring the entire game for another year because it's fairly basic is going to do nothing to EA because they already have enough people who will buy it, and buy microtransactions anyway. Me making a stand by ignoring it will do nothing.
End of the day EA FC 25 is an easy play and can jump in and out of with mates. It's basically a socialising thing these days, but without the actual socialising thing. It's this generations playing out on bikes.
Edit: sorry if this comes across as dickish, it wasn't meant, I was playing devil's advocate in a way, I understand both sides of the argument.
