The comments on that thread are ludicrous. Demand's for the DoD to disclose technology, people desperate to hold onto some kind of Aliens disclosure. People claiming the drones are "searching for something"

'No need to be alarmed it's the US military testing new drone tech' would put it to bed but they're strangely denying it, it's all very odd to be honest. I find it crazy how close they seem to be getting to these flight paths as well to the point of airports getting closed
It wouldn't put it to bed. Even if they came out and said it was a drone testing program everyone would say they are lieing and hiding the aliens. They would be more convinced
Weird thing. I have a post in the ufo thread about a year ago about seeing a strange triangular device in the sky over Bergen County New Jersey. Problem is the post was about an event I witnessed in 1980.
I'd say it's part mass hysteria, part clickfarming. A lot of people have apparently never looked into the sky above them and are now throwing the label of "drone" or "aliens" at every light they see. A lot of the videos are very obviously aircraft and helicopters. Yesterday's article on NBC is very clearly a helo, you can very clearly see the skids and the fenestron-type tail, and get a good idea of the windows. Probably it's a G2 Cabri. But nah, gotta get in them drone clicks, so rather than show somebody with a modicum of aviation knowledge the footage for a few seconds they push out an article about a "huge drone".The comments on that thread are ludicrous. I’m not buying it, the last place I would expect us test out new flying technology is at our airports. It has to be aliens, they’ve obviously come here with their advanced interstellar travel to hang out above our airports and observe our shit, inferior technology. They must start pissing themselves when they see a plane that still has propellers on the front.

Excuse me for being a skeptic but New York is the busiest airspace in the world with 3 major airports plus numerous regional airports in the surrounding area, not to mention 100's of helipads dotted around the city. I'm fairly sure this will just be another aircraft.

Also, private planes flying by VFR don't need their transponders turned on up to a certain altitude, so people saying that they cant see these planes on FlightRadar when it's probably just someone out in a little Cessna or Piper. That will be different for big cities like New York but would probably explain a lot of the other places people are videoing.
I don't buy many of these sightings, some of them will be drones for sure but the mass hysteria & near desperation for it to be aliens or some shady government coverup is bordering on insanity at this point.
A few spotted on Long Island too but it could just be copy cats.
It's easy to see things in Jersey because of all the open space. Have you seen any of the drones? One of my coworkers saw one and it's definitely not a plane.

It’s crazy to say look at the Aliens but at the same time there’s definitely something going on way past the point of a few people flying drones. Is it a government trial or foreign country? who knows but those who are looking at this like yeah it’s planes are wrong the movement alone rules out planes for most of those sightings
If I recall correctly, there were concerning drone sightings that hadn't been accounted for and might have hinted at foreign intelligence spying on US territory. But what we see now seems like mass panic that will eventually blow over.

The irony of a country with over 13,000 military drones that have killed an estimated 20,000 people including civilians, wetting itself over feck all but screaming aliens and enemy military should be amusing me more than it is.
I really don't doubt that some of them are drones, the development in that tech recently is mind blowing and you can forgive people for getting spooked by something a little different looking in the sky. I just think confirmation bias is taking hold and any light in the sky must be something sketchy now.
I've just seen another video for example of some "drones" over Washington DC, which looks exactly like how multiple airplanes line up on final for landing. Of course the video is at night so all you can see is a glaring light, more than likely a landing light making it harder to distinguish a shape. They've always got anti collision lights active though, I doubt it's anything nefarious if they're actively trying to be seen.

How nice of the aliens and/or foreign secret militaries to adhere to the convention of blinking red and green lights on the left and right sides respectively.
It should be telling to anyone using that or similar platforms as sources of information on this that the sub's overwhelming reaction to seeing a helicopter at night is "wow what the feck is going on this is insane".
