I take it (my interpretation) it is largely to do with Pelegate and compounded (significantly) by the Garrincha pick implying an inevitable RB-gate.

I think they are, quite rightly, sparing us and themselves the epic meltdown. There's no talking him out of that mindset, I've tried and by now agree it's not worth coercing him because it would just be flying shit all over the shop.

But of course the difference is that Thuram actually played there. Playing a left back at right back to try and get around the restrictions is far worse. The restrictions are hard on everyone.

Annah, let's drop it. Do you think I haven't said that already? I even suggested we could all assume he was playing Phil Neville at RB but there's no getting away from the fact there are plenty of scan voters flying about who wouldn't do that, and effectively he is facing Garrincha with no significant downside elsewhere.

His mind is set, putting him through 24hours of playing a draft game thinking the same adds up to torture in my book. Or retardation if you don't keep it to yourself and spend 24 hours moaning about it (like I would, and you all know how crap that turns out!).

It was just a way to boost the front line and try and get Garrincha in the team - they couldnt do it properly (which if you cant do, then that is an issue with planning which everyone must deal with), so are playing a player out of position and hoping to wing it.

Not fair in my book when others have been slated for doing lesser things. The restrictions are tough on everyone hence why I had to go for a keeper and not chase Ronaldo - if you haven't planned well enough for Garrincha then you can't get him.

Everyone missed out on big names to work around the restrictions. If it's not possible, pick someone else in the first place. Or bench another important player.

I actually expected Krol to play instead of Moore and Cohen still playing as rightback because it's the only fair thing to do, everything else really is a bad joke here. I would have been pissed as well, if I faced Pol. Completely takes the fun out of the whole draft. The restrictions were that tough for a reason and if we cheat in the end just to fit as many big names as possible on the team sheet, why have those restrictions in the first place?

Then issue though is following the same logic they passed on Thuram. I actually didn't pick Thuram instead of Cannvaro myself because, if forced to play him at CB I knew I would be in trouble, I even wondered how he would be seen on the right of a back three despite that technically being a RB duty but effectively RCB.

It's just not worth it. I can see it, I've been discussing it for more than 12 hours with him. It just won't fly, everything he discussed with me for 12 hours he is discussing again here and will be discussing again for another 24 hours? It's his decision, and I get it.

While totally forgetting the amount of effort others have put in including you throughout the tournament and how unfair it is to them? Lost interest? That's selfish at a new level. We have all spent time on this and it's gone tits up because of one guy. I've had exams throughout the week and still bothered to put time in it, so must have everyone else, and it's really a dick move to act like this.

Playing players out of position is the discretion of the manager and he is willing to face the consequences. The opponent should have not say in it.

I think what you did was out of order and I consider it cheating given how the rules were explained at the beginning of the game.

So how am I in the wrong for not wanting to play the game against you? I haven't done anything like this and you can still go and play the final, or play antohan now.

It's not a fault thing or anything, many feel Theon has a point, many don't.

It doesn't really matter, what matters is his heart isn't in it any more. I don't think we should be creating conditions whereby he would be "in the wrong" not to accept to play because it no longer is about the root cause but just not being up for it any more, or likely to enjoy the game under any circumstances.

I said from the off it looked pretty final and set in stone.

Like I said, I don't know your tactics and formation, but if it wasn't questionable, we wouldn't have this discussion. You can easily clear it up by posting it, because it doesn't look like Theon will play anyway.
