Had 3 separate pm convo with theon, annah and anto
Theon had a misunderstanding about my lineup and we r both good now, now pending his acceptance of my invite to resume the match.

Last night discussing stuff with Theon we got into talking about Brazil '82 and how hard it was to replicate it. This was the best I could come up with within the restrictions and staying true to the way they played. The arrows indicate the runs/change in positions once in possession (basically turn 4-2-2-2 into 2-2-2-4).

Thanks for staying up to help Anto, if we don't know how long Snow is going to take, might as well postpone the match to tomorrow noon
 
I'm actually behind you, not ahead. I am leaving for the seaside in an hour or so though.

Seems so obvious, really don't get what the drama was about. Not the first time theon has threatened to pull out of a draft when things don't go his way. I agree with Aldo, I think he's been extremely childish.

Seems obvious enough. Having seen Pols line up I don't even know what the fuss was all about, Krol is playing cb ffs! Threatening to pull out because of something you think might happen? Deary me.
 
Playing against Antohan, when he's chomping at the bit, 'takes (some of) the fun out of the game' for me, as does playing against someone who overwhelms you with tactics. You don't see me threatening to pull out of the tournament!

Hope whoever loses doesn't mind us calling it 3rd place playoff to attract more people?

Eh? If anything I want to play again because that game was complete dogshit and a massive disservice to that Hungarian side and the brain behind it: Gustav Sebes.

Not the slightest idea on that 4th pic. I went through 10 years of CL teams and nothing made sense.
 
I don't care about match of the tournament as long as I get the 'moment of the tournament' award for my 'there's no 4vs3 numerical advantage in football' post. Still believe that one was genius :lol:.

Why don't you both pick up Neeskens? If he is so crucial to both teams I see no reasons why you can't. Or Balu gets Matthäus/Didi but they count as non-winners so it is fair?

You mean it as if it were bullshit? It actually made sense. As Cruyff says in that clip you posted "some people understand support as getting closer, I preferred my teammates to be as far away as possible". Shame I didn't have that clipe when playing Tito's Cruyff-Maradona-Garrincha axis :lol:

Maybe I should use Hidegkuti instead of Ceulemans? That would give both teams a certain connection, would be interesting and I can see Hidegkuti play that role.

And I have 3 out of 4, so I'm already proud of myself, feel free to lower the standards.

Of course it made sense, it's brilliant and it's brilliantly presented, imo. You didn't know that Cruyff explains the diamond video? I linked to it in my first game. Did no one watch the youtube videos I linked to? They were all prove that what I explained actually works :(.
