How do you explain that Ronaldo didn't score in the WC 94 Final though? Small-team basher! :wenger:

This draft is a complete nightmare, basically all the players I need are in teams that went through and all the great players available don't really help me improve the team :(.

I wasn't, didn't you see the logic in it? i could go 4-3-3 if needed (although I don't want to) or he would replace Bozsik freeing up two problems of mine: European oldies. Comes with the territory when you try replicate the Magyars I guess, which is why I decided against it. If I was going to break them up, what's the point.

Again, you severely underrate Ghiggia, no chance I was taking Garrincha. Better? Yes. More popular? Yes. What my team needed? Not in a million years.

And about half of them were penos iirc. I could keep banging on about Neeskens' 7 in one tourno then. Marks him out as a great performer, but I wouldn't say he is a brilliant goalscorer as a result since four-five were penos.

They weren't exactly minnows though. You could argue them not progressing is partly him not performing when push came to shove in the knockouts. May be a wee bit unfair to put it that way, but it isn't. He was looking the part in 94, then Maradona got suspended and they collapsed. It's hard to replace Maradona, but it marks Maradona as the real performer, not him.

I just found a wonderful solution for all my problems, won't win many votes, but I like it :lol:.

If someone fecks it up, I instantly go asleep and won't pick till tomorrow morning though.

After some Bobby Charlton research and seeing he played further down than I initially thought, as well as his ability to play wide as well - I pick him.

I'm sticking two fingers up to flexibility issues, they are doing my head in, I see players available I would want in my final side but can't play them at all and since I don't want to drop the Magyars I need the available options to broaden in other roles.

Not wanting to contemplate dropping Bozsik resulted in having to rejig a bit. I can't pull off what I want with the players currently available (some would work but I can't play them and it would be like leaving them out of the 25-man squad).

Core defence "problem" sorted in the meantime.
