Anyone going with Salah and Kane so they have some variance with captaincy?

Big teams seem to be getting better at marshaling the big Nord recently. Saliba was excellent against him. No goals in last 6 games and a much better home record than away. I am thinking it could be really beneficial to have another option, and could well be the way to move up the ranks.

Anyone else planning to get a second premium?

I’ll be happy with captain alternatives Saka, Bruno or Rashford to begin the season.

Did a fun draft without Haaland but with Trent, Salah and Kane and it certainly doesnt look bad.

With Nkunku out, I feel Mudryk is a serious differential option this year. Poch will certainly have them playing and scoring more goals than last year wont he?

You can't have your cake and eat it, or something like that.

This is an all or nothing team. It's both awesome and awful. Best to spread the funds, I reckon

Definitely not. Many defenders are 0.5 cheaper than they should be, with multiple viable 4.5 options making it easy to go cheap. Forwards are probably priced correctly but midfield is where it gets ridiculous as the 6.5-8.5 range is overcrowded with potential high scorers. Saka being 8.5 is probably the most ridiculous one.

Yeah, someone screwed up. They used to be quite accurate with prices
 
Wanted Kane, took him in, decided not to have him and fecked up my team.

the thing with Salah for me is that it seems to be more rare that he scores 2 goals or more, which puts me off him a bit. But he is stable and on pens however. Jota on the other hand can also do double goals, but is also wasteful at times. But Jota has gotten on the end of more chances when I’ve watched LFCs pre season.
 
Looking to remove Foden and Darwin, too much money for players likely to be heavily rotated.

Maddison springs to mind and maybe Hojlund at some point ????
 
It was never harder to pick a team. So many combos.
Anyway i THINK (famous last words) that i am done done done.
Onana (Areola)
Stones, Gabriel, Estu, (James, Baldock)
Diaz, Bruno, Rashy, Mitoma, Saka
Jackson, Haaland (Adebayo)

My thinking was;
Defence; Having gk and defenders from best teams in league which all also have great schedule. So you must have one from City, Chelsea, Arsenal and United. Plus Estu because of schedule. Exception is Trent and Pool because i don't see Pool's clean sheets in first 5 games. Major dilemma was Ederson/Shaw or Onana/Stones. That 0.5 mil difference made a difference at the end.

Midfield; one between Rashy and Bruno are a must so i went with both ( :wenger: ), Saka is a must, Mitoma is nailed because of price and schedule. There was dilemma about 5th midfielder. I picked Diaz because i can't afford to go without any Liverpool player. They will have high scoring games i think. Although maybe i switch Diaz to Foden in last minute. That is only position left to decide.

Attack; Haaland is nailed, Jackson has good run of games. Adebayo is cheapest striker who starts.

They were too low last season as well. I think they're doing it to make the game more accessible and less of a challenge. The teams you can build are ridiculous. It's becoming more about being on the right side of variance than building the best team.

Looks ok for a team with two premiums, but I would downgrade Trippier to a 5M defender (tough schedule and CL) to upgrade D. Luiz to Buendia/Diaby and Martinelli to Saka/Odegaard.

So.. do we have a redcafe league? How do I get in?
 
Is Leon Bailey expected to start for Villa this season? Considering going with him over Diaby from Villa.

Current draft:

Pickford, Leno
Shaw, Estupinan, Saliba, Botman, Lockyer
Saka, Maddison, Havertz, Rashford, Bailey
Pedro, Haaland, Wilson

Considering Kabore (who I think is a much better pick than Bell) instead of Lockyer.

Other than that players in bold are a bit up in the air for me - any other tips or suggestions would be great.

No Arsenal attack? Also Villa fixtures aren’t that good to have two of them. Sure Diaz is going to start? They have 4 players for 2 positions.
 
Going to take a punt on Alvarez for the first few weeks and see how it plays out. Jackson is probably nailed on now because of Nkuku's injury. Had Watkins but Villa's fixtures are rotten. Will downgrade Alvarez and upgrade Jackson if needs be.

False. The only purpose in this game is to win, not have fun, and be able to come on here and tell everyone how incredibly devastated you are with measly 97 points (in a week where everyone else gets an average of 40 points).
 
I think we need to take a harsh stance on humble braggers this season. Yellow card for first one and then straight dismissal from the league on second offence.
