Alternative question is to bench boost? I’d conceivably have Ward, Martinelli, Saliba and Bueno on the bench now.

I would pay little mind to that. Chelsea aren't red for anyone any more. Also the beauty of the fixtures supposedly being tough are that teams are less inclined to rotate so at least you know that Haaland is going to be getting the lion share of 180 mins barring an injury.

Hopefully they don't add Arsenal to it, as that'll really open it up.
Would definitely bench boost if they do. Would have to try and get Odergaard in.
I was just looking at bringing him in over the next while as I've 2.8 to upgrade my bench. If they had a double that would accelerate that decision for me.
It does look silly how they've pointlessly left a week in between games for that Fulham v Chelsea tie, instead of just extending the next game week 1 day doesn't it?

Seems a big risk to get rid of Cancelo ahead of a DGW but I don't see him getting two starts, plus the games are tricky...
Plus it's the only way I can get Kane in.

Botman is insanely undervalued. How he's still 4.4m I do not know - although he's 99.4% at the moment. Though this tracker doesn't seem to have been 100% on recently.

Kane seems to be a definite need, so if that's the only way, that's the only way.

Yeah, Kane is a must. If the City double were against weaker teams I might reconsider, but City's defence hasn't been super strong and with no guarantee Cancelo starts I think I have to take the risk.
Cancelo has been a real bust for a while, but personally I've still got James to deal with, so can push him out to a filler 3.9m in Bueno who is currently starting, but still have 3 other certain starters in case Cancelo doesn't play.
Just playing it day by day - if Kane/James and Bueno aren't looking likely to change value and scupper it - i'll hope to do it as close to the actual game as possible.
Im holding Cancelo for the double gameweek as he will get minutes. Id have to take a -4 to replace him after doing Salah to KDB. Thankfully i hesitated on Martial, i very nearly took the -4 to bring in Darwin.
The game weeks are set in stone at the start of the season aren't they?
I can go one of two ways this week. Just bring in a city defender, roll the second free and play something like
Ward (Ramsdale)
Shaw Stones Trippier (Patterson) (Thomas)
Almiron KDB Rashford Martinelli (Andreas)
Kane Haaland (TC?) Darwin
or clean out Patterson and Andreas as well for -4 and bench boost.
I think if we get some interesting doubles in 21 it might be worth rolling again.
Edit: Lewis in for Patterson gives me more flexibility though.

This Chelsea v Fulham is an oddity that has been rescheduled to be a week after one game week but just 1 day before another.
Could go either way. But surely made more sense to go to the week it's closer to?
I don't think they move deadlines unless it was already in the same gw when the season started i.e when the Tv companies pick up the friday fixtures they will adjust them but not for fixtures postponed from previous weeks.

Ederson is risky for me. City don't keep clean sheets very often and I don't see them doing it against United and Spurs.
I haven't been paying much attention to Doherty at all so can't help you there.

So besides Shaw, Varane and Rashford - which other United player will get decent amount of game time in DGW 20 and 21? (and DGW 22 if that is an option)
I'm leaning towards Eriksen, but he gets subbed every 60th minute and has most potential for returns in games we dominate (City and Arse probably wont be that). Even considered Garnacho at one point, but his competition is a peak-Rashford, so that's not easy. Bruno's too expensive for what he returns. (not a big game player neither)

What do people think of doubling up on a Newcastle defence? I'm ready to get rid of Patterson/Cucurella but I'm still not sure who to replace them with. The other defenders I have are Shaw, Trippier and Bueno with Sanchez and Bazanu as my GKs.
I'm refusing to chase doubles anymore. I said I wouldn't do it this season and then brought in Mitro who promptly got suspended for the second game. It didn't turn out too badly as he outscored Martial and is a better option but I'm taking it as a wake up call to only make transfers that make sense long term. I've rarely had a good DGW. I usually end up with less points than if I'd not bothered chasing.
Got pissed off with Cancelo over the weekend and swapped him for Stones. Now I’ve to decide if Kane with a DGW is worth the -4 over Darwin v Brighton.
Possibly getting rid of KDB after the double so could get Darwin back in after that for a Haaland, Kane, Darwin front 3.

Why do you think Stones is a good option for the double? Are you expecting clean sheets?
Very good point. I see people talking about taking -8's and worse which is crazy. I don't want to burn a transfer this week so maybe I just use one on Cucu/Patterson out for a United defender and hope we get the double double.
Out of the teams that do double we've probably got the best chance of a clean in that Palace game. Who's the best bet after Shaw though? Dalot? Varane?
Doubling up on attack seems more juicy for me (Almiron/Wilson)
having said that, Botman/Schar have the best fixtures compared to other defensive options, so it depends what your team is missing
Tbf Stones is a dgw legend. He does have some attacking threat and is in good form.

I've got Shaw and am probably playing a bit safe as I am back at the top of my work of my work league but with the way the fixtures are I'm wary of loading up on any one team in defence but you'd have to think Dalot is more likely to get you points than Varane but is he fully fit to play both games?
That's the question. Dalot feels the ballsier pick and Varane the safe one. Expect both to get a rest tomorrow.

Would be really brave to take Kdb out before a double.
While he's not been in top form he certainly could have had a couple of attacking scores.
Yeah I'd take Salah out too. I benched KDB last week and kinda got away with it as none of my midfielders bar Rashford got many points. We'll see if Andreas gets more than two against Chelsea. KDB could easily have had an assist though and I was shitting it when he hit the post.
I can't imagine his dry spell will last too much longer.
With us getting a double I think I might go for De gea/Ederson and Perisic. Kane just too expensive and blocks my future moves to upgrade Andreas.

I wouldn’t bother with the first two transfers. Ederson gets no save points, so it’s a clean sheet or you are done, and Tottenham won’t keep a clean sheet in either of those games.
Almost exact money to do Cancelo and Andreas to Dalot and Mahrez but that gives me a front 8 of Saka Martinelli KDB Mahrez Rashford Darwin Haaland Mitrovic and a massive benching headache. Yay or nay?
