Fantasy Premier League 22/23

Did my two transfers tonight to avoid Kane's possible rise.

Will go with:
Kepa
Trippier Walker White Shaw
Saka KDB Eriksen Rashford
Haaland Kane

Last headache until Deadline will be if I gamble on Captain Rashy. But I don't think I will have the balls in the end.

Triple captain Rashford is the big balls move.

Don't get the hype around the triple captain talk, there will be plenty more double gameweeks for Haaland im sure of it, with them going far in every competition. I kinda fancy him to haul but you never know, not the easiest of fixtures.

Man my team has become a mess...

Kepa
CANCELO, Trippier, Cucrella
KDB, Martinelli, Almiron, RASHFORD
HAALAND
, KANE, Mitrovic

Subs: Ward, Andreas, Bueno, Patterson

DGW players in capitals (although I doubt Cancelo will play).
The red players I need to get rid of.

My plan is:

Cucurella to Shaw
Cancelo to White
Patterson to Lewis

I have already taken a -4 this week but is it worth taking another hit to bring in Shaw for Cucurella? I'm usually against taking multiple hits but I want Shaw anyway, he got a DGW and a potential DGW to be announced. Or do I hope Cucurella plays against Palace and gets a cleanie so I can do him to Shaw for free next week?

Burn or Botman and Lewis or Stones

I have the funds to get Stones in but Lewis' price point is attractive and I don't mind him being on the bench

Anyone think it’s worth taking a -8 for a third United asset?

If so, who? I need to be a bit aggressive to make up ground after a poor start. If you choose a player who should start twice, it’s really only a 2 point loss for a crack at a second fixture.

It is tempting to take out Mitro for Martial or Cucurella for Dalot and just throw the dice?

Pope
Trips Shaw Lewis
Martinelli Salah Rashy Almiron
Kane Halaand Nunez

Ward Mee Andreas and Nico on the bench.

Just Halaand vs Rash cap choice. Leaning rashford due to palace.

It's an overhyped chip anyway tbh. Will make very little difference to your overall rank in a season when everyone is captaining the same player every week.

Say you captain TC Haaland this week and he scores 10 points, you get 30. Normal captainer gets 20.

In a future gameweek someone else TC's him and he scores 20, they get 60. You get 40.

Difference is only 10 points.

It will only really boost you if you have the balls to pick against the grain e.g. Rashford this coming week when everyone will be on Haaland and IF it pays off. Caveat is it could backfire spectacularly obviously.

Is Dalot fit?

Trying to talk myself into taking Cancelo out for a -4 hit and replacing him with someone else? I don't think it makes sense though? I have Shaw already, Spurs defence doesn't look viable, surely id be better off keeping Cancelo knowing he'll come on in both games at the very least?

Stones looked good but now is not certain to play both DGW games. Ake has some goal threat and I'm eyeing him, but not sure if I pull the trigger there. Not sure I'd take a hit for any defender this week though.

source of this? Do you mean unfit or just your own take? He didnt play yesterday so that sounds like a big signal he starts both and is the prime defender for Pep

Triple captain Rashford is a bit mental considering he might get a rest against Palace, but you know what…imagine how buzzing you’ll be if he scores against City.

I do think there will be better doubles coming up for both us and City though.

Cuccy benched eases my worries about a Chelsea cleanie a little.
Hopefully Andreas can help demolish it though.

Especially with Wout on the scene.

feckin Darwin man. Gone from an easy roll to considering a -4.

Thinking Perisic, Mahrez and Gnoto in for Patterson, Andreas and Darwin.

Wiegy isn't stopping Martial starting both games in the double.
Only Martial will stop Martial doing that

Oh so now Mount is playing. There goes my chance to get in Saliba points. Hope he and Pereira score.

Raya
Trippier - Botman - Saliba - Dalot
Rashford - KdB - Almirón - Martinelli
Kane - Haaland (c)

Bench: Ward, Mitro, Andreas, N. Williams

Lagging far behind in my league, strongly considering captaining Rashford. Thoughts on team/bench composition? Would you bench boost for this one? Thinking it might not be a good idea with Mitro and Andreas up against Newcastle
