Fantasy Premier League 22/23

Definitely now thinking a wildcard pretty soon makes sense.

TAA out for 3 weeks
James and Martial yellow flagged
Bailey orange flagged
Iversen non playing keeper
6 City and Arsenal

In terms of Haaland, away at Anfield might be the one game it's not wise to captain him.

Better options? Maddison? Kane?

With their defence? I’d triple captain him if it weren’t for the fact that double GWs exist.

Think Bowen is the number 1 pick aside from Haaland currently. Expect those who own him to climb the ranks v the rest in the coming weeks.

Got mitro Bailey and james doubtful with injuries

Still got 6 players that won't play in 12 week

Got two free transfers and than one after week 11

Don't know what to do

They're not out long term are they?

Can you can field an IX and carry the injured ones for a week or so while you ship out the weakest of the 6 with a view to benching the strongest three in GW12?

Use your wildcard. You get a free wildcard during the World Cup anyway as it’s unlimited transfers during that break.

Free hit look so good for me. Just wonder if it will look better in the future.

I feel surely I can deal with future blanks with - 16 at least.

So worse case, 6 players?

Between now and then you have 3 tfrs which gets you to 9 (lose worst Arsenal/City options).

If some of the injuries are sorted, could be 10, 11.

Unless you have WC chip left, I'd be tempted to roll, maybe a small hit. Make sure your transfers focus on next few weeks only as have World Cup WC chip from late Nov.

Will probably look to roll a transfer unless Jesus is confirmed as injured. I’ve got Fofana to replace as well, but I’ll wait until 12 just in case of any other injuries.

I personally think people are far better off rolling with 9 players than using a free hit. There’s going to be loads of nice opportunity to use that later in the season.

Yep that's basically my plan. 9 players is fine for GW12 and just deal with it if your rivals use a FH.

All my ML rivals have used their WC so I'm not worried about that.

Honest thoughts.

Fulham defenders? Downgrade Reece (cba with him missing three games) and bump up the midfield?

Yeah I have a WC left that I was / am planning on using after GW12

Will probably get rid of Jesus / Cancelo / De Bruyne as those have least increased value of my 6 players since I bought them.

Than just take a hit if some players are injured, my rivals in my friends league (playing for beers) are 100 point behind me so reckon I can do one bad week

Surely the advantage of the wildcard in hand would be to use it to get 11 out in 12 and bench some of your City, Arsenal players? I think with many struggling you could put even more daylight between yourself and rivals if you pick wisely.

Got a few injuries (TAA, Bailey definitely, Martial, Jesus and James possible) and 6 City/Arsenal with week 12 looming. With no injuries could have used 3 freebies to deal with those.

Will probably try and use my 2 freebies this week then wildcard next week.

TAA and Bailey to Dalot and Zaha works.

What do we think. Never a fan of Zaha, but his fixtures are superb.

I'd probably pick someone other than Dalot.

I don't get the value in wildcarding on week 12. How are you going to get 4 or 5 Arsenal and City players back? I get that it's not nice taking hits or only fielding 9/10 players, but it seems a bit short-term shedding players from the two most inform teams for one game week.

Well, the value is getting 11 players out when some might have 8 or 9. You could do that and have a bench of Ramsdale, Martinelli, Cancelo and Haaland anyway. Bring in one of Foden/Saka/Jesus in 13 and you've got 5 again straight away.

I’d use your WC now to get eleven out in the City/Liverpool blank but to take account of the next few weeks too.

You have the advantage over most (who have used it) to see how several players have played, their clubs, injuries. Each week you hold off though reduces that advantage. Just an opinion.

I'd probably pick someone other than Dalot.

Anyone better for 4.5m?

I think we're on the big improvement cycle, and we're bound to start cleanying soon - and he could get the odd assist. Better value than Martinez and just as nailed, as Martinez won't ever score or assist you'd think.
He might not have to start "that" often either.

This is a great call - as those latter 3 have decent value banked.
I've got Saliba in the same boat, but I'll probably have to ditch him or will have to field 10.

I got both.

Makes sense if you have quite a few issues to fix ahead of 12.

Assuming Mitro is fit and no one else gets injuries or bans (they will), I can field 11 players in week 12 using free transfers, then use the wildcard the week after to try and focus on those four weeks till the World Cup.

Where are you getting 3 games from? Said today that it's just this weekend and hopefully back next week. I mean fine if you've no other transfers to put out...

I think I read he's missing until the games vs Pool and Newcastle. I mean after the blank I'll be on a mission to in City/Arsenal. I guess downgrading him could mean easier access to that. Of course if he's fit he stays, but my current defence of him, trippier, perisic with guehi and emerson on the bench is super thin. I know. Cancelo. I can't afford him yet.

The other option is to ditch him for Cucurella but thats really meh to me. Fulham have Bournmouth and Villa at home in their next two so short term thinking. There is no one else i can see who's worth defensively.
