I have the same feeling. Liverpool are an absolute mess at present, but with Diaz being out and Jota back, we may see a slightly different approach.
I feel at times Diaz holds on to the ball for too long and he likes to drift off the left...their first goal was a prime example, he effectively drifted into Salah's space to cross for Darwin.
This is fine if its coached play, but I don't get the impression it was or generally is with him. He just does what comes naturally which tends to be unpredictable.
This is great as it's hard to defend against...but it can also be hard to play with!
I should add I'm not backing Salah to come good necessarily, but I am intrigued to see him, Jota and Darwin as a three.
