Fantasy Premier League 22/23

Assuming James is worse than they say, and it seems 50-50 in reports, I have

TAA/James/Bailey injured and Martial probably too.
6 Arsenal/City

Probably looks a good week to do a wildcard even though it's not usually optimal doing it right at the end, especially with City at Anfield.

Who are the absolute nail ons for a wildcard?

@Cutch @CassiusClaymore @Moby
@BeforeKeanetherewasRobson @Dirty Schwein

Maddison, Zaha, Bowen? Any of those?
Kane probably?
Thinking ditching KDB/Jesus/Saliba to leave Martinelli, Cancelo and Haaland.
You've got it covered. Maybe Trossard as well.

Wildcarded it this week with Arsenal-City not playing next week in mind. should end up with 2 free transfers that week.
You can't carry a free transfer when you play your wildcard so you'll only have 1 next week.

Yeah, those.

Maybe Guehi and that cheap Fulham defender as cheap options/balance out dearer ones.

I mean that looks a good plan, maybe Trossard if you want a short term punt in there. Maddison is one booking at from a suspension...

Liverpool have a great run as well to get some league form back. Would probably want at least one attacker in 12 if I was wildcarding. Might even get Robertson back in as well if he's fit.

Ah Maddison could be dangerous then, especially if I left 4 City/Arsenal, assuming I'd ditch one as my transfer next week

Rashy and Martinelli surely stay, so it's whether Pereira stays as that cheap filler or go with 3 other decent level players.

The one thing Maddison does allow is a nice route to Foden in 2 weeks.

Looks good. Probably lookin at the likes of Guehi, Dunk/Webster, Trossard and Toney as squad fillers. Kane v Salah it possibly comes down to for your other big premium

Ok, how's this

POPE KEPA
CANCELO TRIPPIER DIER GUEHI DALOT
MADDISON RASHFORD TROSSARD MARTINELLI ANDREAS
KANE HAALAND (C) JESUS/TONEY

0.9 in the bank with Jesus, 1m if Toney
Kepa could become 4.1m Ward instead to bring 0.3m extra in.

Rashy could become Zaha, but surely is quite a decent threat for us right now?

Maddison holds a place to upgrade to Foden post blank.

One concern is the mythical "big" defence, aka @Moby is now just 2 big hitters and 3 budgety jobs - even though Trippier and Dier are separated by 0.1m in fairness!

It's solid but a bit boring. Why not have a punt in the Jesus/Toney slot on a Scamacca, Edouard or donkey Darwin?

Current Team:

Sanchez
Trippier Saliba Cancelo
Antony Bilva Gross Martinelli Bowen
Toney Haaland
Subs : Henderson, Martial, James, Dalot.

Don't know what to do for GW12 with injuries to Martial and James and the Ars/City blank.

Edit : Should also mention, I used my current gameweek free transfer to get in Bowen for Diaz. Fecking injuries.

I'd downgrade Pope to Ward and consider one of the 8m ish lads for Rashford or Trossard

Who are the 8m lads? Bearing in mind i'm specifically keeping City out this week, plan to have Maddison, and Diaz is injured?

Is everyone captaining Haaland again ? Liverpool away isn't an easy place to go, despite their form

Surely the advantage of the wildcard in hand would be to use it to get 11 out in 12 and bench some of your City, Arsenal players? I think with many struggling you could put even more daylight between yourself and rivals if you pick wisely.

But than I can't necessarily buy the other three arsenal / city players back after week 12? And they are bringing in lots of my points

Looks like Antony doesn't get any love in here despite scoring 3 in 3 and could have very well scored in the Europa League games as well.

Dunno... if he was playing WB then definitely yes but I would see Chillwell LWB and RLC on the opposite flank with Cucurella CB... in which case... he's not.
Hmm. So James replacements then. I am not so sure taking punts on Spurs players. Anyone else?

I jsut had a look... nobody stands out... but my bench defenders are Emerson and Neco so I might have to take a -4... not sure for who though. Might just get Cucurella to be safe I suppose...

Huh? I was responding to you saying you were getting rid of Cancelo, Jesus and KDB, taking hits for injured players and wildcarding after GW12. Imo people with a wildcard in hand have a massive advantage if they use it in GW12 as you can bench 4 from Arsenal/City, get out a full playing 11 and immediately bring Foden in the following week followed by your 3rd Arsenal player the week after.

But you do what you want. I'm taking hits in 12 or Free Hitting as will many others be so the less people that take advantage of that the better.
