Both seem to haul in any game I don’t own them, and then do calamitously bad whenever I own them.

the absurd thing is that James has been Chelsea’s best player in almost every game and yet this low output. It is what makes me hold on to him too, even though the points dont merit it for now.

Yeah, it's starting to look rough now for 12. Probably wait and see which way the wind is blowing but I suspect that they'll be a fair few using FH and even more getting 9 or 10 players out.
I've got 3 Arsenal and 2 City plus injury flags on Bailey and James, with Maddison only a booking away from missing out as well. In the worst-case scenario there I could be looking at a team of
Raya or Ward

7 players would be smack bang in potential FH territory. Realistically though if one of Maddison, Bailey or James is ok (hopefully 2) I'll just take a -4 to get out 9/10 players. Jesus can definitely go as there's no value tied up in him and I quite fancy Saka if I want the Arsenal triple up. I've got so much spare cash I could also turn Bailey into Son. It wouldn't be the worst thing in the world as it saves the faff about getting players from City and Arsenal back in that you want. I think an immediate triple up on City is needed post GW12. Foden looks the best bet at the mo if you don't already own him. Maddison > Foden it is.

Since I binned Salah and Trent, yeah. Well £6.5m exactly at the moment but whoever I bring in for Jesus next week will likely cost less so you can top that up again.

I agree but both Robertson+Trent+Diaz are out, so it could be a siege. He just produces every time he's on.
I mean they're all attacking players tbh so I think you're right it will be a siege with a badly depleted team, but might that mean they play a lot more defensively than they usually would? I'm reminded of Leicester v Liverpool last season when Leicester could barely get a team out and everyone was expecting a Salah haul only for them to get beat 1-0.

I think it's too early to tell. I'm waiting on news about him and Martial. Thankfully Kane seems to be fit now (unless he knacks himself tonight).
Hmm.. Personally I'm not sure they can play in a defensive way - at least they haven't practiced that for years. Not sure whether Klopp goes that way neither - he's typically an all-out man who sticks to his system.
Yeah it's one of those things that's beneficial really cos everyone has him and now i don't have to think about him.
Really want a five man midfield of Foden, Martinelli, Zaha, Maddison, Saka. That's what I'm working towards. Sadly think Arsenal are the real deal and tripling up on them after the blank is the way to go.

Thinking of dumping Patterson and Bailey for Eric Dier and Rashford for a -4. I've already swapped KdB for Foden which was a stupid decision as it's used up a FT and Foden will be out for GW12 anyway. I was worried about Foden's price rising. Dumb move. Can't tell if Rashford is a good shout or a shite one....
