Fantasy Premier League 2024/25

ive gone for a 451 and shoehorned in Haaland, Bruno, Salah, Rashy, Gordon and TAA into the team. I dont actually recognise any of the players ive got on my bench.
Ballsy to ignore Isaak, Watkins, Solanke in coming gameweeks

Getting twitchy now with the team, particularly as I've got 0.5m in the bank. Currently starting with;

Raya (Henderson)
TAA, Gvardiol, Porro (Barco, Guehi)
Rogers, Garnacho, Joya, Eze (Hudson-Odoi)
Solanke, Haaland, Isak
Couple of changes, I'm not sure whether I need to make a couple more to bring in a Saka type midfielder realistically.

Raya (Henderson)
TAA, Dalot, Porro (Barco, Guehi)
Nkunku, Garnacho, Jota, Eze (Rogers)
Solanke, Haaland, Isak

i justed wanted to leave it, but youve triggered me into swapping gordon out for solanke. at least i can blame you now.

ive got: Raya, TAA, Gusto, Martinez, Sangare, Salah, Rashy, Bruno, Nkunku, Solanke, Haaland.

Ugh, sitting at a bog trying to sort this out

v1:

Henderson
Gvardiol, Porro, Quansah
Jota
, Saka, Nkunku, Garnacho
Solanke, Haaland, Isak

Subs: Ward, ESR, Mykolenko, Harwood

Or v2:

Henderson
TAA, Porro, Mykolenko
Eze, Saka, Nkunku, Garnacho
Solanke, Haaland, Isak

Subs: Ward, ESR, Faes, Harwood

I'm leaning v2 but no useful bench defenders worries me, especially as Mykolenko has never been a player that can stay fit.

Any last minute advice? @CassiusClaymore @Sandikan @BeforeKeanetherewasRobson @Maluco @ROFLUTION @anyone
If held at gunpoint, I'd pick no 2 but Mykolenko to Burn/Murillo or a better 4.5 defender

And now captaincy?
People with Salah, you going with Salah? Or Saka, Isak, Son.....? You Haalanders don't have those issues.

My first FPL team for this season

Allisson

Dalot
VVD
Saliba
Burn

Garnacho
Rice
Bruno Fernandes (V)
Mo Salah (C)

Watkins
Mateta

Subs

Fabianski
Richarlison
JWP
Digne

Hm, Salah vs Ipswich? Salah in gw1 is always a haul.
Don't have Salah but my cousin does and we went through Ipswich's team last night. Mckenna will most likely go with a back five and keep things tight and disciplined, some rando like Gakpo will probably pop up and score to win the game but hopefully not a massacre.

Over the last 2 days, I have gone from only Isak to triple Newcastle of Hall, Murphy and Isak. Madness?

I have gotten rid of Konsa and ESR in the process.

Same but Amad or ESR for me

That's exactly my conundrum! But I've got Munoz up top for Fulham so reckon I'll go Amad to split the difference. ESR will go in for the next games since Fulham play two newly-promoted teams.

First ever time playing FPL. I know almost nothing about it. If anyone wants to tell me how dumb this team is, I wouldn't mind hearing a few tips.

I've changed a lot of stuff. Still not sure what I'm doing but my team now looks like this:

Henderson - TAA Konaté Burn - Saka Amad Fernandes Rashford - Solanke Haaland Isak

Bench: Valdimarsson Harwood-Bellis Barco ESR

I guess I'm banking on United to start/do well this season

He got exactly 17 non penalty goals last season in the PL (not more)
Like I said, he turns 27 next month and just had his first decent season in the PL and there is a massive hype around him.

Let me explain why I think he's overrated and doesn't deserve (all) the hype:

GW12-18 last season he had a purple patch in the PL (an overperformance over a short period that stand massively out from the rest of his career):
7 games (630 minutes), 8 goals (1 pen) 0 assists. 1 non penalty goal per 90 minutes.
He got these returns from 5,90npxG (0,84npxG/90) and 0,48xA (0,07xA/90)
So 7 non penalty goals from 5,90npxG - a slight overperformance of his npxG.

Since then (GW19 -38)
20 games (1728 minutes), 7 goals (1 pen and also missed a pen) and 2 assists.
He got these returns from 8,41 npxG and 2,55 xA (0,13xA/90)
So 6 non penalty goals from 8,41 npxG - in line with his usual underperformance of accumulated npxG.

His whole PL career minus those 7 games in November/December 2023:
127 games (8081 minutes), 21 goals (1 pen scored + 1 pen missed) and 13 assists. 0,22 non penalty goals and 0,14 assists per 90 minutes (total 0,36 goals + assists per 90 minutes)
He got these returns from 33,73 npxG and 11,44 xA
So 20 non penalty goals from 33,73 npxG - A massive underperformance.

Over his PL career he's averaged 0,39 npxG/90 (including his purple patch) and has scored 0,28 npG/90
His CV just shows that he's been a very impotent striker in the PL with the exception of 7 games last season up until now in his career.

Richarlison in back in training, Kulu had a great preseason and they will share minutes. I'm not saying that he will flop, he'll probably tick along just fine, but don't expect him to get these explosive numbers or be a 90 minute man every week.
I’m saying which assets got more than him?

Only Foden I think?

As long as you keep a close eye on them. Hall's minutes will be at risk esp when Guehi signs. Murphy will also be rotated eventually. At that price point, I'm surprised Brereton Diaz is being overlooked. He will be Southampton's main striker, and I expect him to be this season's Mbeumo. Ownership at 0.8% is a joke

Team 1 looks dece.

But i'd say that as I'll deffo have 9 of those starters!!

I have done a mad one. I was settled on Diaz , but linked to Barcelona, than I changed to Gordon, but no real pre-season, decided I should probably have someone decent on the bench so dropped to Eze, then linked to City.

I am going for Rashford. Is it completely inconceivable that the player of 12 months ago is gone?

I like the team. Nice balance all round. My only concern is that your defense don't really have much attacking potential. But overall a solid team.

Yes, I remember watching Porro one game last season scared as he seemed to take every single set piece and was whiskers away from racking a monumental score up!
I'll rethink

Issue is, Spurs run into difficulty fixtures quite quickly and at that point, your relying on attacking returns and then when you consider that bps for defenders have changed, suddenly Porro don't seem that good.

I would take him out but I'm afk now and can't be bothered to change my team at this stage.

I want him in, but refuse to go double United and Bruno just makes much more sense to me

No way Barca can afford Diaz if they cant even get Williams.

I switched to Isak now. Damn.....:)

Henderson
TAA - Aina - Hall
Son - Nkunku - ESR - Eze - Saka
Haaland - Isak

OR

Quansah - Aina - Hall
Bruno - Nkunku - KdB - Saka
Haaland - Isak - Solanke

@Dirty Schwein @BeforeKeanetherewasRobson @Sandikan
I like them both mate. 1 looks sexier but 2 is probably better long term. I would have a replacement lined up for KDB though once Foden returns.

50/50 for me… I’d look at the fixtures (if Chelsea can choose the right XI from their 300 man squad, they could be good this season) and see which feel better to you.

If had to lean… 2.

I'm dubious on KDB, especially game 1, but definitely when Foden turns up.

Someone made me rethink on TAA, but I'm 100% having Solanke in there.

If there's even vague help in that wittering!

Think I'm done now.

Flekken
Saliba Porro Martinez
Bruno(v) Saka Doku Salah(c)
Havertz Isak Solanke

Subs: Valdimarson, Barco, Andersen, Amad
Any advice on some last minute changes?

I'm still tempted to pick Muniz to upgrade elsewhere, but I might leave that for another week.

No way Barca can afford Diaz if they cant even get Williams.

The fact that he is clearly agitating for a move worries me though. I think he is clearly their best left winger on form though. Final decision is him and a 4.0 bench or Rashford and a 4.5.

I want Bruno too, but don’t want to budge on other picks in the team because of their price points.

Down to the final decision now and just don’t know if I can trust Diaz
