Fantasy Premier League 2024/25

Is there an argument to sell Palmer to someone like Gordon? Chelsea are poor and his returns are inconsistent for a player of his price.

Salah has ruined FPL this year. People are expecting returns from all their players every week just like Salah:lol:

Pretty shit day yesterday, with 10 points lost starting Jackson (why!? I knew he was being rotated) over Rogers, and Muric missing out on a CS by being too busy being benched, meaning no GK at all this week with Fabianksi injured. Still got Odegaard and Gabriel to play but it's looking like another GW saved by Salah. Probably be the same again next week.

Already did Jackson to Wood to catch the price changes, but with the keeper situation, an injured VDB, a suspended Rogers, and the looming Cunha problem, it's not looking great. Throw in the Sarr and Odegaard transfers that I wish I'd never made and that WC button is starting to look a little tempting.

Not really. With Saka out for over two months and Haaland playing terrible you really don’t need to free up the funds from Palmer. He’s still comfortably outscored everybody else other than Salah.

There's another wildcard in a month, surely you may as well use yours now.

Son, why did I buy ya? Who will score more points next gameweek?

Son - Newcastle (H)
Gordon - Spurs (A)
Mbeumo - Southampton (A)

Still like a return to Mbeumo longer term, those City and Spurs fixtures at home don't bother me much in the upcoming weeks. Potential transfer target.

Gordon seems a great pickup for a few weeks too so he is as well, but despite his form and Spurs being Spurs I'm not sure if I'd rather hold Son in isolation for this fixture as Spurs are the home side.

Bruno coming into the mix after Anfield as a possible.

It's either hold Son for the home game, then 2 of Bruno/Mbeumo/Gordon in, Son & Semenyo out
or
Son out now, decide which 1 I definitely want out of Gordon/Mbeumo moving forward (could still be both) and bring them in immediately. Bring the other one in or Bruno the week after. Kind of feels likes I'm missing out Mbeumo v Southampton if I don't grab him immediately and if he's one I end up wanting.

Edit: Maybe Mbeumo gets a red or something against Arsenal, that would actually be good for the decision making process.

Gordon and Mbuemo get a huge proportion of their goals at home, so Son may well outscore both next gameweek. Gordon doesn't seem to mind where he assists though.

Cunha with just a 2 game ban, probably don't need to transfer him out now.

Looks like one is on the FA Cup too, nice for FPL owners who were going to hold.

Think I'd sell him anyway due to those fixtures if I still had him. Definitely looks like one to possibly return to later in the season either way.

Still on 71 with Jesus left despite picking Palmer as captain. Could've been much worse.

Rogers suspended so think I might do Amad > Murphy tonight and continue on my path to transitioning back to my original gw1 squad

Must say it's not any easier watching your captain blank when you're at the game either. fecker had an assist knocked off for a marginal offside, hit the post from a free kick and had another goal denied by a worldie from the GK. Cest la vie

Or I could do Milenkovic in for Maz and play 4 at the back (or Amad).

@Dirty Schwein @Sandikan @Chipper @BeforeKeanetherewasRobson

Amad to Murphy/Elanga/Iwobi or Maz to Milenkovic? Or roll?

Currently playing

Verbruggen
Hall Kerkez Robinson
Salah Palmer Enzo Amad
Haaland Watkins Jesus

I want Isak in for Watkins after this next fixture and Wood back in for Jesus after they play Liverpool.

As boring as it sounds, Milenkovic for Maz seems a good transfer. Forrest have a great defence and nice fixtures up until GW26 (only Liverpool the tough one in that time). United can't keep clean sheets, Maz isn't that attacking and also Amorim is happy to make pre-60 minute subs.

As for Amad to one of the others, I find that all these players are in a similar bracket to be honest with similar xGI. These are kinds of transfers that are worth it if you nothing else do to or have spare transfers. Murphy is decent but not a 90 minute man and Newcastle options are better with Isak, Hall, Gordon etc. Elanga is ok but Forrest don't score that much. Iwobi is aids.

But my luck has been shite so probably do the opposite of what I just said.

So the next round of games, I'll be looking like this as it stands:

Nobody
TAA - Greaves - Gabriel - Robinson
Salah - Palmer - Odegaard - Sarr
Isak - Wood

Subs: Ha, Ha, Ha, No

Yeah tbf I won't want Elanga if I'm getting Wood back anyway.

Actually sound advice. We're total shit but if we're getting anything attacking wise it's likely to come from or through Amad. Can see me getting Murphy back and him getting benched again.

Performed open heart surgery on my team of chumps. Hoping to gain some form of respectability in the second half of the season. My overall rank this year is over 5m so it can't get much worse.

Raya
TAA Gabriel Milenkovic
Gordon Salah Palmer Semenyo
Wood Watkins Jesus

Sel Dibling Greaves Anderson

0.1 in the bank

I think I'll do Semenyo to Rogers after his ban.

I'm not sure about the forward line at all. Jesus needs to go and I was thinking of Watkins while Duran is suspended.

Would Jackson/Gakpo or Isak/Raul be a better option than Watkins/Jesus?

I don't trust Raul but they seem to have a decent run of fixtures coming up and Isak seems like a must have at the minute.

I would get rid of a United defender as an absolute priority. We might scrape a cleany home to Southampton, but you wouldn't back it in any other game.
And the Maz appeal seemed to be that he'd be a wing back, when he has played a lot of his games in the back 3.

Plus we're no sort of attack anyway, so not like he'd be piling the assists in anyway.

is that team AFTER the surgery? I wouldn’t have thought you’d be >5m with that lot

Cheers, think I'll just roll with Son for a second week. After all, I did bring him in for a 2 week punt.

An advanatge is that it gives me more thinking time for which 2 midifelders I want, plus it gets us past FA Cup games where someone could pick up an injury.

Speaking of FA Cup, noticed they're quite close to league games and just had a sinking feeling over Chelsea and their rotation again. Luckily it's only Morecambe in the cup, that will surely be their B squad game that week.

Isak/Raul for the next 3 at least. Jesus/Jackson/Gakpo all get rotated so even though Raul only lasts 60-70 minutes he at least starts and has easy fixtures, so looks better for the next 3 weeks at least. That's what I've gone for anyway, Cunha>Raul as Cunha's suspended then has a bad run

Oh God yeah. I've had a horrible year. I'm on 999pts with Raya, Jesus and Gabriel to play tonight.

Yeah that's what I was leaning towards.

Thanks
