Fantasy Premier League 2024/25

Playing around with wildcard. Don't think I'm going there just yet, just taking a look what I'd like right now if I was.

From
Sanchez, Fabianksi
Gabriel, Timber, Hall, Lewis, Greaves
Salah, Palmer, Son, Semenyo, Rogers
Isak, Jackson, Solanke

To
Allison, Fabianski
TAA, Gabriel, Hall, Mykolenko, Andersen
Salah, Palmer, Bruno, Mbeumo, Sarr
Isak, Wood, Joao Pedro

The idea would be to pick whichever one out of Wood/JP has the easier game + Isak. I know JP isn't in great form but that would have to be the risk, his and Wood's games sync up quite nicely for the next 6 weeks. The 5 midfielders all start nearly every week, possible switch ups involving Gordon, Luis Diaz and Rogers. Awful game for Bruno to start with. TAA + Gabriel start every game, rotate a 3rd in depending on fixture - Hall looks fine to start most of the time.

Just did Odegaard to Gordon. No Idea why i thought it was a good Idea to bring in Odegaard when he did feck all all season and playing more as an organisor than a creator.

Team for GW20 locked:
Pickford
TAA Gabriel Robinson
Palmer Salah (C) Bruno Gordon
Wissa Pedro Isak

Bench: Nope, Colwill, Greaves, Rogers
1,2m itb

Plan after this GW will be to bring in Jesus/Wood for Wissa and one of Munoz/Milenkovic/Hall for Colwill.

Good luck all for the weekend already.

I would go Milenkovic. He offers some attacking threat too.

Yeah. It's tricky though as after this weekend Munoz has much the better run of fixtures. His attacking stats are pretty crazy. Forest obviously looking solid and much more chance of clean sheets though as well.

Bench two of the following:

Munoz, Hall, SvdB, Amad and Dibling

Thanks!
Amad at Anfield surely has to be a bench job.
We hardly ever score there at the best of times, let alone in this current woe. And in the massively unlikely event he did do something, you'd be pleased for the real world stuff!

Blimey that's difficult!

That's so close you could pick any 2 at random to bench pretty much.

Very tentatively SvdB and Amad for me.

Even then it's possibly a rare clean sheet chance for Brentford in an away game. It's just that they've been so poor on the road so far. Amad one of the players I'd hope for something out of for United but we're all pessimistic right now.

I don't really rate Hall or Munoz's clean sheet chances too high this week, mostly about their attacking threat. Dibling, well he scored last week although he hasn't been getting guranteed minutes under Juric so far. Hopefully that goal would earn him another start, and Brentford have been leaky away even if Saints attack has generally been useless.

Agree with this, and Sandikan.

Bench SvdB and Amad

When your bench looks like this hope everyone starts.

Sanchez
Gabriel Hall Lewis
Salah(C) Palmer Son Semenyo
Isak Jackson Solanke

Good luck all!

Anything anyone would change from this? Or roll it over and rack up 3 transfers for next week? Assuming Sanchez plays and I have an actual keeper playing i might well do that.

Sanchez (Fabianski)
TAA Gabriel Castagne Hall (Mykolenk)
Salah (c) Palmer Diaz (Amad, Rogers)
Isak Jesus Wood

1.7m bank

Some bad weather forecasts this weekend so probably worth waiting until the last minute if you're thinking of making a transfer. Liverpool v United in particular at risk...

Seems pretty well set.

Defensively fine. Your 2 premiums with nice rotation options.

Guessing you brought Diaz in recently so he's someone you'd intend to give a decent chance to shine rather than looking at other players in a similar price bracket. Great fixture against United sadly and he's a fine choice anyway. There's not really too much out there in terms upgrades on Amad or Rogers that are doing well unless Gibbs-White takes your fancy? Or sideways from Amad to Murphy? Neither seems like an essential move.

Forward line seems very good for the here and now.

Perhaps you want to tweak the goalie at some point? They all seem similar though, just to head off further rotation troubles with Sanchez later in the season?

Of course it gets announced after I buy TAA
Same with me and gakpo.

I have four Liverpool and United players - worth a -4 to lose one? Was debating de lift (not sure why I still have him tbh) to kerkez. I also have 1.5 or so to play with. Other players are Salah, gakpo and amad.

Looks good. Personally I'd be planning for life without Sanchez, Diaz and Amad with those 3 transfers at some point.

Allison/Raya, Gordon and Sarr/Semenyo to replace

Muric
TAA - VDB - Gabriel - Robinson
Salah - Palmer - Odegaard - Sarr
Wood - Isak

Probably the worst I've felt about my team heading into any GW so far. Could take a hit and get Watkins in for Cunha I guess? Not too sure where he's at fitness-wise though.

United called off at Anfield would be brilliant in real life, but obviously not great for those of us with 4 players involved.
Would obviously be sod's law a week Rogers is suspended.

I sort of hope it is called off - in which case I'd ship Diaz out for a playing option! Maybe Amad too in fairness.

I can't believe there's even a remote possibility of it being called off. The gods aren't that kind.

Is it worth doing a -4 for Solanke to Wood, which will allow me to ship Semenyo to Gordon next week (as opposed to the following week as I had planned)?

Captain on Isak this week? Apparently a few Spurs players are sick and they are defensively dodgy at the best of times. Although its hard to look past Salah...

I've got the exact same bench but also 3 players from the Liverpool United fixture. At least you could still field an 11 if that fixture gets called off.

Yeah I'm shipping either Maz or Amad anyway when I can decide which one and who for. I know I shouldn't but I keep coming back to Murphy. Sensible decision would be to keep Amad who has 2 decent home fixtures straight after and bin Maz for either Milenkovic or Munoz but I'm not known for being sensible.

That could easily backfire depending on which Spurs turn up.

The Newcastle season ticket holder at work is adamant Murphy is a terrible player. Was surprised to hear him say that as our perception going off fantasy footy is that he's been blasting it recently.

I'd probably ship Maz first. He's maybe had ONE assist all season, and I wouldn't be confident we've had many cleanies at all. Fulham first day - many others?
Plus seems to start more games as the right sided centre back, meaning even less attacking potential.

My mate is also a Newcastle season ticket holder and says the only reason Murphy does well is because opposition think he's useless so don't bother marking him and focus on Gordon, Guimares etc.

Im in the Amad/Maz boat too. It’ll be painful, but I’ll keep them for the Soton game and probably ship them off thereafter. I can avoid playing Maz, but Amad against Liverpool isn’t impossible to get something out of imo. It’ll be a high scoring match I believe.

All the bad signs with Amad being marked heavily by the oppositions, and us being defensively fragile is there however.
