Fantasy Premier League 2024/25

Jumped on the Sarr train. Got him and benched Wood for him and Enzo against Ipswich. Now I desperately need Enzo to be out of the squad

Chipper not me!

I’m having a nightmare season. Never finished outside top half a million (and been in top 50k) but this season will see a new record low.
Why did you answer me asking you your score, by quoting someone else's score

I can feel that morning 15mile run calling me to bed...thankfully no work for 8 more days!

51 which is a good base with 6 to play tomorrow.

Going to be a high scoring GW across the board for most.

I'm captaining him next week. Going down in a blaze of glory.
Normally I wouldn't, finding it to hard to captain Salah against us even though it's probably the right move, so might suffer with you.

Because I’d been talking about Chipper (unmasked). Assumed you wouldn’t be interested in my score given my regular posts about how poorly I’ve been doing… which was true*

(*this week being the exception)

Enjoy the run. Hoping to start up again in Jan.

54 with 6 to go is a good start with Son and his penalty miss the only non-returning player. Need some big performances from the rest as teams have returned across my ML

Hmm... I plan to do:

GW20: Semenyo to Gordon
GW21: Jesus to Pedro
GW22: Mazraoui to TAA

Should I do that or swap GW20 and GW22?

Ah the 15miler was Sunday morning, was wondering if I was misreading posts as knackered.
Can never tell with scores v posts on here though. There was one poster who seemed to make a huge mistake very week yet had a really good score still.

Saw someone in my league captain Sarr. 4 pointer.
That was a brave call.

I remember a ridiculous amount of hype around Eze at the start of the season, as though he was an absolute must-have. Now Sarr is getting the same kind of treatment. I reckon the collection of people that create these narratives are just massive Crystal Palace fans.

Still, they fooled me into getting Sarr. Christ knows why anyone would captain him though!

As a Virgil owner this TAA haul absolutely killed me. Maddison as the Saka replacement is one of my worst calls of the season. Desperately need an Amad haul to somehow save my GW.

Eze was one of the worst band-wagons on here - people acting like he was an absolute given, even though they'd just lost Olise and Mateta had had an insane golden spell.
And I love Eze as we had him on loan in league 2 at Wycombe.
Can you imagine how ludicrously too good he looked down there

I had a little look at Mateta this week, then thought it'd be a daft gamble.
Not that Jesus in has been good so far - but maybe he absolutely pile drives Brentford tonight?
(Cue benched and comes on in the 87th minute blocking Wood's 12 pointer)

Mateta did play very well against Southampton, but more in terms of being a target man for the other two attackers to play off rather than looking like scoring himself. There isn't really anyone providing for him in this Palace side - great as he is, Eze will shoot from absolutely anywhere as first port of call and Sarr isn't much better in that regard, though he does flash it across the box now and again. I'd say Munoz looked a much bigger goal threat than the centre forward did.

When Mateta had that run last year I think Olise's inswinging crosses were a pretty big factor, and I don't remember Eze taking on anything like the number of shots he's taking this season.

Realise I'm about 15 weeks late but this Chris Wood fecker is fixture proof. No one would discourage me transferring him in for Wissa presumably?
He's who I plan to drop Cunha for when the time comes, but I'm a little worried Wood's magic is somehow tied to 2024, and once the calendar year ends he'll just go back to what he was. Some kind of crossroads deal clearly turned him into a monster - we just don't know what the terms were

Also thinking about Wissa to Wood currently. But not sure if its the right moment with Wissa playing Southampton next...

I held off on Wood because I expected a dry spell. You can guarantee as soon as I pulled the trigger that he immediately turned into Wout Weghorst.

He's scoring rate had slowed down after a good start. He's only got 4 in the last 10 games.

Yeah their fixtures have gotten difficult over the last few games.

One thing that speaks for bringing in Wood is that Nottingham dont score that much nore concede much what means that he most of the time he gets 3 bps when he scores.

In comparison a Wissa will score you a goal in a 4:2 thriller and comes away with no bps.

Unless Timber doesn't play vs Brentford then that's Shite Nouri staying on my bench with 10 points. What a troll that dickhead has been.

Why is it always, just always the week when you're down to 1 keeper that the bastad manage rotates your sure fire starter keeper! Garhhh.

People suspected Jackson to be rotated though didn't they?
Not like he's some mad haul animal anyway? Although one guy on the footy forum the other day was adamant he was "class".

Just need about 5 goals from Palmer to make the week an average one. FFS, knew Maresca would do this too. If Jackson comes on he wipes my Semenyo assist.

Should have gone with the contingency plan and sold Sanchez, kept Bruno.

Would have been on Henderson 2, Semenyo 5, able to make my Semenyo upgrade next week. Any Jackson cameo wiping Hall.

Instead it's Sanchez 0, Son 0, need to ship Son and Semenyo out now in 2 weeks using an extra transfer, Semenyo's 5 only counting if Jackson doesn't come on.

Costing points plus an extra transfer to get the team I want in the end. :nono:

Edit: Suppose I could just direct my ire towards Son. The decision was ok if he doesn't miss a penalty like an idiot. He'd have had 7 instead of 0.

Bloody norma, just realised that was Hall not Gordon crossing that. I'm gonna end up with a massive haul for erm Hall on the bench here.
