Fantasy Premier League 2024/25

Getting rid of Mbeumo might be the priority there. Playing further away from goal since Wissa came back, and has one decent fixture in the next nine. Don't really fancy Bruno either away against good sides or potentially in deeper positions as Amorim has experimented with. Unless we get a load of pens of course, but we're probably not going to, are we?

Jackson still has that suspension to come, so bear that in mind if/when you bring him in.
Thanks

I hate planned transfers but I can get say, Quansah (or a 5m defender), Saka and Jackson in for Trent, Watkins and Mbuemo.

Konate is out for a while which is why I am feeling Quansah can be a decent short term move. But that also gives me a midfield of Bruno, Saka, Palmer, Salah and Rogers.. Which is tempting!

Of course Mitoma is flagged now that I've transferred him in. Apparently spotted in training so not overly worried though.

I am worried about captaining Palmer though with the possibility of Chelsea rotation. Any other Palmer cappers having second thoughts? Might stick it on Salah for safety and form or even Haaland maybe.

Ive got it on Salah. Hes too hot right now. Palmer may well have a good game but he scored a screamer with lower XG in the last fixture. I feel Salah is on the end of more clear cut chances.

Plus the inevitable penalty they'll get tomorrow. Switching to Salah!

Fabianski
Lewis Greaves Ait Nouri
Mitoma Salah (c) Palmer Johnson
Haaland Cunha Evanilson

Verbruggen Rogers Maz Hall

Palmer isn’t playing in Europe so he is well rested mid week. I have no doubts he will start. Maybe if they are up 4-0 by the hour mark he will be subbed but I think he start. Remember they are also 3rd in the league tied with Arsenal.

Trying to find a way to get Saka into my team but is it worth dropping Bruno & Mbuemo out for him? Would leave me with £6m for the other midfield pick.

Im in the same boat. Saka and Bruno play each other. If bruno is a 10 I see no reason to move. Even if hes deeper he can still create, and Saka will face a more organized team than West Ham tomorrow.

Are you taking a hit? If so I would roll and do the same transfers next week.

Indeed, that's my hope but Saka does seem to affect games against us and there will be space inside Dalot for him

No, two free transfers.

Who is Chelsea’s starting CB alongside Colwill now that Fofana is injured till Jan? Any Chelsea fans here? @duffer

I'd say probably Tosin as he's a right footer like Fofana where Badiashile is a lefty like Colwill.

I might be totally wrong though. Badiashile was on the bench this weekend and came on for Fofana and we did fone with two leftys.

Isn’t Disasi right footed? Is he behind Tosin?

Is there a reason why nobody has Delap as a budget option? Also, is there any news in regards to how long Isak will be injured?

Don't think Ipswich have had a consistent block of 6-8 weeks where you think they're going to score a lot. That can be due to perception of them as a team and their ability to create chances in general or a quirk of the order of the fixture list. Reliable premiums + switching your budget players around to find those runs is what a lot are looking for.

Wolves players were all the rage going back 5 weeks or so for example, a lot going for Strand Larsen at Delap's price point because they had a really nice looking run. It's worked out so far and is still ongoing, same for those who got Cunha for a little more expensive. Does Delap ever get that run this season? I'm not sure. A decent run of 4 starting tonight though.

Doesn't always work out, step forward Mr Calvert Lewin. Everton had a similar looking great run to Wolves at one point.

Players like Raul, Evanilson and Joao Pedro with the better xG numbers v Delap. Wood and Welbeck started off on fire and they were budget too. It's been hard for Delap to stand out when you throw everything together. Still, more players have him than Strand Larsen and Evanlison currently so it's not like he's completely without his fans.

I will captain Delap tonight, and I am hoping for a brace from him. Have some catching up to do in my mini-league, and I know it's a huge gamble.

Would you start Henderson away to Ipswich or Fabianski away to Leicester? Are we expecting a new manager bounce from Ruud?

Ok Saka and who else?
Hadn't really planned that as they'd likely be benched initially. Smith-Rowe or Semenyo are the obvious shouts. Maybe Amad if I went rogue and looked beyond the next 3 I suppose.

I brought in Watkins for Isak and almost immediately regretted not picking Jackson instead. It's only a stopgap (as the plan is to bring back Haaland in a couple of weeks anyway) but you just know Jackson will thrive against Southampton and Spurs' high line. My initial logic was that Watkins is bound to hit form eventually and Villa have 3 winnable fixtures.

Been mad at work all day.

Think it has to be Bruno out pre these difficult games, but is it Saka or Palmer in?

I still have Haaland, but will wildcard that soon to mean a better mid and tidy up other areas.

Palmer has an easier game tonight, but is he better at home?
Saka is by far higher backed in the transfers in, but Palmer way higher in the captaincy... garhhh

Watkins with Brentford and Southampton at home looks good for you.

Some are worried that Jackson may not start vs Southampton anyway. Based on the Chelsea having what they see as a 'midweek team' so far in the Conference League and Carabao Cup. Same for Palmer and others. Completely different priority of competition though.

Another reason for Jackson not to play is that he's 1 yellow from suspension and has been for weeks. Might just be left out if Maresca doesn't want to risk him being suspended for Spurs away at the weekend which is tougher on paper.

Either way there has to be some possibility he misses one of them. Suspension vs Spurs or not picked vs Southampton.

Personally hoping he plays vs Southampton and does get suspended for Spurs. The way the fixtures work out I've got my get my best coverage for that game out of all that Jackson could miss in the next few weeks.

I've gone Jackson caps so rest assured he's not starting this GW though he may get two minutes at the end - just enough time to pick up that last yellow.

Ah, thanks for that man. Feeling a lot less regretful now.

I know who to blame now if that does happen. Cheers.

No worries, I'd rather have Watkins if it's going to be for as short terms as you say.

Henderson clean sheet!! Is that 5 returns from 14 now this season? Can’t expect more from a 4.5m keeper. Correction - 4.4m keeper.
