Fantasy Premier League 2024/25

27 with 3 to go. Going to do well to scrape 40 max this week.
Dem's the breaks after a couple of strong weeks.

Captain fail in the first game always feel ominous
 
Depressing week. Usually I do well after a WC, but Flekken, Trent, Gabriel, Saliba, all blanking means 4 points from 4 players. Add Haaland, DCL, Eze. I suppose transferring in DCL was my fault but the rest are decent picks.

Waiting for Rogers and Solanke but hope the latter blanks against us.
 
Taking out Palmer seemed like a good move, as he was playing further back to my liking, and Madueke seemed to be playing much further, almost in Palmers position from last year. So the reasoning was that Palmer will haul from time to time, but it won't justify his price tag.

Fast forward to today. Brighton comes to Stamford Bridge, and in the locker room, they find Totenham's suicidal 10 man v Chelsea high line, and they get absolutely ripped to pieces, while giving Stivie G backpasses, conceding penalties, and playing from the back like they meet 10 minutes before the match, all while Palmer scores a worldie from a 40 years free kick.

To top it off, my man Jackson freezes 3 times in front of goal. Just give me my medicine for trying to apply any logic to this cursed game.

I can't remember if it was you or someone else saying it, but the suggestion on here that he was playing in a deeper position than last year made me wary of picking him up.

Not sure what to do now, chaps. Are people planning on buying him?

The Chavs have a tough run of fixtures coming up which is a reason not to.

Chelsea were terrible against Bournemouth and he was dropping way too deep to get on the ball which is when you probably saw that suggestion. His two hauls came against Wolves and Brighton who gave them lots of spaces to play however they want.

So yea, considering their upcoming fixtures I don't think they'll get that much space which might affect his numbers. Maybe an option after those fixtures but right now I don't think it's worth it if you don't have an easy way to get him in.

I don’t think I buy him. Would have to get rid of Salah who has Palace now. And after the next GW Chelsea have terrible fixtures - not that it matters for Palmer. So I’ll keep bleeding rank
 
Up to 27 with the bonus points in with 2 left to play. Will be lucky to reach 40 points for the GW. My WC has been an absolute disaster, better haul next week or I’m in trouble.

I'm in the same situation but I'd rather wish Amad hits it off today. His general performances have been good, minus the end product.

I am so angry on new Rogers owners. They didn't need to wait on him since GW1 like the rest of us.

Same. I'm 4 off a green. Ideally a Rogers winning goal not assisted by Watkins, Digne or Konsa.

Mind you, loads will have some of Maz, Dalot, Porro, Solanke, Son later. Maybe even a bit of Bruno, Madders, Amad, Garnacho and Rashford.

Aye, country music singer from the US. Think he was famous in the 1970s.

Did a song about a poker player called The Gambler which as a poker player I really like, and another one with Dolly Parton called Islands in the Stream, the same tune that was borrowed for that "Ghetto Superstar" song which in itself must be 25 years old now too. I feel old. :lol:

Bruno has brilliant xGi but it’s weighted heavily towards assists. I also think I’d rather now wait for Foden to be fully fit.

My regret this week will be if Watkins/Rogers return heavily vs Jackson/Saka

I just felt the triple Arsenal defence ended up being too overkill and one goal wipes out a lot of points.

The game just wants to kick us in the backside. As long as thought process was correct it's all you can do.

Saka and Jackson's teams scoring 4 each, with an xG of over 9 in the two games for their teams combined. Who would have thought you'd only get 1 assist from key attackers for them?

Not much of a surprise that Rogers and Watkins have delivered although they did only hit 0.67 xG in that first half as a team.
 
What to do with Amad? As i thought when i bought him, he is huge rotation risk. To replace him with Soucek or Dibling?
Dibling looks as a bargain for 4.5

Saka played one of the best wing performances in Europe this season. No return.

I know the logic and data was sound (as you’ve seen before I’ve looked into them and knew Watkins was just behind Haaland) still.

Hopefully next week is better.
