Hopefully De Bruyne will be a no-show. Got 5-point Long coming in for him. I imagine he well for 20-30 minutes.
 
20 points with Mustafi, Willian and Alonso left to play. Horrible week. Captain Lukaku was silly but I had blind faith.

I really want to keep Lukaku for West Brom and Bournemouth, but Kane’s price is going to rise again tonight so tonight is the last time I can afford him without taking further hits. Damn. Decisions, decisions.

Lukaku and Alonso out, Kane and Vertonghen in. Thoughts?
 
Keeping Salah I think. Got rid of Firmino before today for Vardy, thankfully. Just switched Mane for Lingard to allow for Lukaku upfront. Pogba in for Salah is tempting but could be a big mistake.

Everyone in my main league is on less than 20 points apart from me on 35 with Auba captain to play.
 
I’ve went for Pogba. Hoping those 2 goals will have given him big confidence and Jose will surely stick with Herrera and Matic behind him to let him get forward more. WBA and Bournemouth is a nice double for him.

Will Jose play him in a midfield 3 for those games though? That’s the main bone of contention.
 
What a terrible FF week this has been so far. 15 points with only Mustafi, Willian(C) and Aubameyang to play. And i missed a trick with Eriksen at the last minute. Thankfully didn't get -4 for Mahrez.
 
Just realised I have another 7 points off the bench, with my current 35 and Auba captain to play. Looks like I've done well this week.

Good risky one to take. Could pay off very well considering the doubles.
 
I just found out about the BetterFPL Chrome extension. Changes the regular website. In your leagues it gives you way more info, live updates to points, and shows who has captained who on the same screen.
 
30p with Auba (c) and Alonso to go.
Sold Salah, Coleman and Silva and bought Mahrez, Eriksen and Alonso.

BB 34 with either Kane or Lukaku in. Probably Kane if I can afford it. Will have 10 players with double fixtures.

I need to take risks as I'm 50 points behind my mini league leader.

I removed Lukaku and Son and transferd in Kane, and wanted the second player to be a United one. I had my mind set on Lingard but the others in my league all have Lingard, so I went for Pogba. No point me having the same team as them.

11 players in bold with a double game.
Liverpool have a home fixture v Bournemouth and Mustafi has a fixture v Newcastle, so I’m happy enough to keep those 3. McArthur is the cheap option I need to afford the squad.
The only concern is Spurs/United resting players for the 2nd game as it’s 3/4 days before the FA Cup clash.

Could you go for the bench boost week 37 instead and try and get 11 players up to 13/14?

I could, but I have all my chips left and I think GW 37 is for Kane triple captain as he has West Brown and Newcastle. At that stage West Brom will be relegated and Newcastle will be safe, so I'm expecting a big return as Kane chases the golden boot.

Nobody else in my mini league can afford Kane so that's another reason.

It is a conundrum. I ask, as i'm in a similar boat.

Wildcarded this week, to potentially have 9 with doubles in week 34, yet 8 playing in week 35 still.

As It stands I'd have 10 doublers in week 37, but any transfers from week 35 on i'd bring a doubler in, ideally getting that 10 to 12/13.

Basically, will Kane outscore whatever Lukaku/Hazard get, PLUS the xtra players from the bench boost?

Ideally in a bench boost double , you'd want all 15 playing twice. That's awkward this year unless you have the free hit.

It’s a very tough call. I have visions of Kane scoring a total of 5 goals across those 2 games in GW 37. Lukaku has a nice run of fixtures and may score highly also, but what made my decision is that 3 others in my mini league has Lukaku but no one has Kane (yet). I am 50 points behind so I have to put my eggs in the Kane basket.

I’ll use free hit in GW 35, as there is only 6 games that weekend.

The "worry" with Lukaku is that he almost never scores more than 1 goal in a game, whatever the score, and whoever we're against. The one time he has was the opening day. So you could see him scoring a goal in both games, but not the explosion Kane is capable of.

Gutted today, put Christensen back in, and of course he instantly is dropped again.
When i had him previously, he'd started about 12 in a row, and then over about 6 games, and 4 clean sheets got none of them, either being dropped, or the worst, being subbed twice in a row at 57 and 58mins!

Awkward for the double now.

Will do Auba to Lukaku as late in the week as I can risk it, as I left the precise 0.8m to upgrade
 
I swear courtois never makes a save. He only ever gets 2 or 6 points.

It's like of someone has a shot on target against him, they score :mad:
 
Using my wildcard for the next game week so I can have a front 3 of Kane, Lukaku and Vardy.

Making sure I've got enough players that field in the next GW, while also having 6 players with a double GW coming up.
 
One of the top transfers in now is Smalling. So reactive :lol:
I expect a fair bit of rotation in our cbs too.

I was about to bring him in as a cheaper alternative to Valencia, but then I remembered how it wouldn't surprise me if Jose mixes things up at the back
 
Got to be one of the worst gw's ever that one (for everyone). My mate triple captained Kane. Was hilarious watching his points total change dramatically before his eyes when they chalked off that second goal and gave it to Erikssen. :lol:

Plan this week was Valencia in for Dummett to give me a BB of

De Gea / Ryan
Alonso / Lowton / Vertonghen / Simpson / Valencia
Mahrez / Son / Gross / Alli / Willian
Lukaku / Barnes / Vardy

although slightly more tempted by the the bandwagon -4 option of Pogba & Cedric in for Gross & Dummett. Anyone?

Christ knows how many of that lot will even play twice though. Wouldn't be surprised to see some of the Spurs, Chelsea, United lot sitting out the second game prior to FA Cup semi final weekend.
