Fantasy Football 2017/18

Yeah I think I'll wait on that one. Pep seems to be favouring Jesus again at the moment. Problem is there isn't really a striker I want from any of the other teams playing that week. Might pack the midfield instead with 5 and stick a cheapo in up front as bench fodder.

The tricky part is also that Liverpool is playing 3 days later in the semis. Salah and/or Firmino could be rested.

I think Solanke should start for one of them. So far Mané hasn't been saved, so he's an option too.

Edit: Gotta love you're already thinking about next weeks team  I have this flaw myself.

I've been following your advises lately and it's been going pretty well, many thanks guys!
However, now I don't have any Free Hit left nor wildcard, so my team is the below...

De Gea / Pope
Lascelles / Otamendi / Alonso / Schindler / Monreal
Lingard / Salah / Young / Milivojevic / Eriksen
Auba / Firminio /
Niasse

Any suggestions?

Many thanks once again guys!
Have a lovely weekend!

How many transfers do you have remaining for this week?

Their manager talked last week about a healthy competition between Chilwell and Fuchs. To me Chilwell has been the best lately, but it could sound like he'll rest Chilwell for one of the games to give some fair Fuchs to Fuchs

Edit: Morgan is available for a similar price. I'd go for him for safety - But Long is my prefered choice now (4.0) and Mee is out for at least 2 weeks. Chelsea wont go all in at Burnley on thursday, having to play Soton again Sunday for the only title to win.

Cheers, I am a bit put off with Burnley defence without Ben Mee, going to go for Morgan.

Just playing around with my Free Hit and it's looking strong!

Ederson
Elliot
VVD

Monreal

Mariappa

Rangel
Haidera
Salah

Walcott

B. Silva

Ozil

King
Aubayeng

Jesus

Firmino

Assuming you don't have free hit left then? Your team looks really good and should be fine for this week. And yes I agree plenty of big players will get a rest for the FA Cup so don't worry too much about people bench boosting and stuff. Personally think Newcastle have been very good lately so Auba out for Kane/Lukaku makes sense. Problem is you'd be left with 5 players (plus whatever you've got on the bench) for GW35 so you'd need to take a hit or two in that week. I wouldn't bother hitting defenders, just make sure you've got some City players in the attacking positions.

I take it you don't have any free chip available for GW35.. If you're not taking any minuts points hits, I'd swap Robertson for Burnley's Long to save some money for some bigger maneuvres later on. Or just swap in Long (4.0) for another defender on the bench if you can afford it. He'd be good for two rounds in gw34 and a good choice for starter in the upcoming rounds.
Thanks guys!

Only one mate.. That's the thing..
Not sure who I should bring in / out..

Thanks!

De Gea / Pope
Lascelles / Otamendi / Alonso / Schindler / Monreal
Lingard / Salah / Young / Milivojevic / Eriksen
Auba / Firminio /
Niasse

It's an overall good team I think, but beware of Wenger giving chances to other left-backs than Monreal who he fancies in Europe, and that Firmino and Salah might be rested in gw35.

I'm thinking of swapping out Monreal to Long myself as I somehow see Newcastle scoring against them (Arsenal is terrible in defence currently - especially Mustafi), but Long for Schindler (save 0.6) sounds reasonable for other maneuvres and two games instead of one this week + Stoke in the next.

That or just save up the transfer for next week.

 I only ever used to play it casually but I've gone a bit OCD this season. That said I'm £20 up at the moment with another £140 to come if I can stay top. Downside is I'll have to treat the missus with it to apologise for spending so much time dicking about on the app. :(

I know that feeling. Switching between my TextEdit to check if my team holds water for the next 5 weeks and the browser to sub in and out and check scenarios  My girlfriend must be watching the ramblings of a mad man. I just can't be no 2 in my Fantasy league - a football shirt is on stake (which I probably could've earned 50 times by just spending all this time on making some money :wenger:)

I had Kane as (c) last week,i see he is awarded ther second goal from FA but fantasy havent given him the goal??

My team GW 34:
Lloris,Ward,Smalling,Chilwell,Davies,Mahrez,Willian,Sanchez(c),Vardy,Lukaku(v) and Kane

Going triple captain on kane this week as it's a double gameweek for spurs!

He won't get it either. Once the points for the day are locked in they can't be changed.

Nice team. Should get some decent points from that front 4.

Would Lukaku not be the smarter triple captain given the games or do you not have him.

He would, but you're correct I don't have him. I'm also on level points with the guy in our office at first place so can't afford to make an extra transfer this week. I'm planning on getting rid of Kane next week when spurs don't play for either Auberyang or Aguero (depending if he starts playing ).

Sod it, I'm going for it!
Naturally don't shoot the messenger but thinking it myself. Rom will play both games and has a good record against these sides. It's about guaranteeing points at this stage maybe. Kane is always a good option but doubt they will run riot against city, after the week they have had. It seems the safe choice if you are trying to hold a lead.

I already mentioned it just before you:

Tempted to play triple captain on Lukaku.

Is anyone going to stop me?

Hold me back, hold me back!

Here's my team this GW, any other suggestions?

De Gea

Morgan | Schelotto | Christensen

Alli | Pogba | Son | Willian

Vardy | Barnes | Lukaku (c)

Subs: Hennessey | Lowton | Robertson | Salah

My starting XI are all DGW's and I'm going to play my BB, it's going to go to waste otherwise.

I'll use my FH next GW to make up for the limited games and aim to get City players & Kane into the XI for GW37 and also play him as my TC - fingers crossed he'll be in the running for top scorer still.

That is really annoying but oh well.

Thanks mate I like this team, using Free Hit Chip GW 35.

What is your team?

.....

If you haven't got free hit left you need to find a balance in your squad to navigate 35.

I'm bench boosting

De Gea / Ryan
Alonso / Cedric / Lowton / Simpson / Vertonghen
Alli / Willian / Mahrez / Son / Pogba
Lukaku / Vardy / Barnes

Playing free hit on 35 to stick up with City, Arsenal and Liverpool then getting Kane back in for 36 and taking Alli out for a City/Pool midfielder.

Fabianksi

Monreal, Maguire, Smalling, Naughton
Hazard (c), Ibe, Eriksen, Ramsey
Lukaku, Kane

Elliott, Robertson, Doucoure, Depoitre.

What do you think?

Took a -4 in order to replace Mariappa with Smalling along with bringin in Kane. Figured the hit was worth it given that he's not unlikely to get 2x CS. Now all my starters plus 2 on the bench have a DGW. Only Salah (starts) and Robertson (3rd on bench). I'm triple captaining Kane for sure. He's likely to score in either game so I'm fine with doing it now. Would rather save the bench boost for GW37 when there are even more matches.

My only caution about that is man city.

It feels recently that Spurs always score a few vs City at home. Think it will be an open game nonetheless. Can see us winning 3-0 vs West Brom, Lukaku scoring 1 but the goals spread around as they usually are with us. Then edging Bournemouth away 0-1 or something, and everyone on here going mental over Jose's approach. Just can't see us going into free scoring mode, especially away..

Before the City match, Kane will possibly see Salah score vs Bour and fall further behind the golden boot race.
