Fantasy Football 2017/18

I'm going Kak but I'm terrible at captain picks. De Gea is probably the safe choice for steady points or one of the Leicester lot.
I'm going with Vardy. Decent fixtures and he'll definitely play both games if fit. I've got Kane and Lukaku now but think they will get rested in the second match, though more convinced Kane will out of the two.

He didn't really spare Zlatan neither in that tight-packed schedule last year neither did he? Could get both games
I'm thinking this too. Mourinho doesn't really rest Lukaku but given our league position, no need to play him.

Been a really poor season for me so far. I'm playing catch up in a couple of my leagues so am tempted to twist and put Sanchez in for Hazard and give him the armband. But a bit nervous about rotation with the Semi Final following the next round of fixtures

It has to be Kane for me. I expect him to play both games as he chases the golden boot and City have started to leak a few. Poch probably will want to rest him in the second game 3 days before United in the FA Cup, but he will do whatever Kane FC tells him.

Yeah Vardy is scoring consistently and like you said, bound to start both games. If Mahrez was in any kind of form I wouldn't think twice about slapping it on him.

Do we think Valencia will be rested for the cup game?

City will also be hungry to win the league, especially after Liverpool dump them out of the CL on Tuesday. He might not see much of the ball.

I'm using my wildcard and have brought in Mahrez.

Think I'll get rid of Valencia cause if there's one area I think we'll rotate, it's the back 4. Might bring De Gea in to compensate

True but Spurs are in very good form and if City get beat on Tuesday that will be 3 defeats in a row, having to face a good Spurs side at Wembley won't exactly be easy. Even if they beat Spurs I don't think they will keep a clean sheet, so I just have to hope it's Kane. Nobody else in my mini league has Kane so it also makes sense for me to take the risk as I'm chasing.

Advice on the FH?

If i play it today, can I go back and make changes during the rest of the week?

Like a wildcard?

Thoughts on my fh team for this weekend?

De Gea

Valencia Morgan Chiwel Robertson

Gross Mahrez Salah Sanchez Willian

Kane (c)

Looks good. Though would be conscious of Robertson's playing time, Klopp loves to rotate when they are in Europe. You could look at someone with a double gameweek like the rest of your team - Burnley defender? Or Cedric?

Yeah it's a risk for sure. Considered Lowton for that spot. But if I'm hoping he gets more than 4 points, he needs clean sheets vs Chelsea and Leicester. Same with Cedric. I have Mahrez and Willian, so not really something I want to happen. It's a tricky decision.

Though I could downgrade Francis (first sub) to a sub 4.1 and swap Robertson with Christensen and pray that he plays both games. Christensen screwed me in Decemeber/Jan so I dunno..

Current team

Pope
Azpili----Lowton----Robertson/Simpson
Son----Mahrez----Salah----Willian
-----Auba------Vardy----Firmino

I have the following dilemma. Ideally I would swap Auba for Lukaku considering one has a double GW however Arsenal play week 35 while United do not. The other dilemma would be to bring in at least one United player, perhaps in midfield however I am not sure who to replace... Will son play both games? Would Pogba play both? The last problem, I don't have Kane or any city players... Was thinking of getting Kane straight after gameweek 35 though.

If you haven't got free hit left you need to find a balance in your squad to navigate 35.

I'm bench boosting

De Gea / Ryan
Alonso / Cedric / Lowton / Simpson / Vertonghen
Alli / Willian / Mahrez / Son / Pogba
Lukaku / Vardy / Barnes

Playing free hit on 35 to stick up with City, Arsenal and Liverpool then getting Kane back in for 36 and taking Alli out for a City/Pool midfielder.

Getting rid of Auba and I'm very tempted by Kane, especially as he will chase the goal very badly and seems like an outstanding captain pick... but it means I won't be able to get a premium United attacker in Lukaku or Sanchez.
What do we think about Lingard? Will he play in both upcoming games? Seriously considering Son, Auba -> Jesse, Kaku for my 2FTs...

Nobody knows mate. Chances are he will get minutes in both games though. I will not be surprised to see a bunch of my players benched for the second game. Anything over 100 points will be a good week though (And God knows I'm due one) and should be enough to keep me well clear of the pack in my mini league.

Almost certainly gonna bring Salah and Kane back in for 36 though. They're probably the only 2 players that would stop me winning so I'll happily take hits to cover myself.

Not having Kane scares me a little this week but I prefer Kak's fixtures and he won't be facing a fired up City in the first game.

Rose injured again. Calf injury, and will be out for atleast the week.

Davies looks nailed for this dwg

Playing my Bench Boost this weekend. How does this bunch look?

DDG Hart
Vertonghen Smalling Lowton Chilwell Christensen
Mahrez Arnoutovic Son Willian Ibe
Kane Lukaku Barnes

I'd like to be able to sleep before the deadline.. so any changes worth making for a -4?

Can Trippier not play on the right? Think Spurs might save a bit of energy for the clash against us on next saturday. It's the only thing worth something in their season now.

Trippier plays on the right rotating with Aurier I thought. With Rose out, Davies has Walkers-Pieters as his backup. 3 games in a week doable.

With the TC chip, can you change who's captain still once you've activated and pressed save?

Odds on Chillwell starting both games for Leicester? see that Ben Mee is so thinking it's worth a -4 if I get someone in starting both.

Playing around with free hit teams for 35. Hopefully City still need to win the league and Liverpool aren't resting too many for the CL. Something like this could be sweet

Pope / Heaton
Van Dijk / Baines / Tarkoswki / Kiko / Dummett
Salah / D Silva / Sterling / Zaha / King
Firmino / Auba / Aguero

3-4-3

Fixtures are :-

West Brom v Liverpool
Watford v Palace
Arsenal v West Ham
Stoke v Burnley
Man City v Swansea
Everton v Newcastle

Their manager talked last week about a healthy competition between Chilwell and Fuchs. To me Chilwell has been the best lately, but it could sound like he'll rest Chilwell for one of the games to give some fair Fuchs to Fuchs

Edit: Morgan is available for a similar price. I'd go for him for safety - But Long is my prefered choice now (4.0) and Mee is out for at least 2 weeks. Chelsea wont go all in at Burnley on thursday, having to play Soton again Sunday for the only title to win.

Looks potent to me, from what you can choose. Aguero is a bit of a rotation-risk I guess, but also a tempting reward if he starts.

Assuming you don't have free hit left then? Your team looks really good and should be fine for this week. And yes I agree plenty of big players will get a rest for the FA Cup so don't worry too much about people bench boosting and stuff. Personally think Newcastle have been very good lately so Auba out for Kane/Lukaku makes sense. Problem is you'd be left with 5 players (plus whatever you've got on the bench) for GW35 so you'd need to take a hit or two in that week. I wouldn't bother hitting defenders, just make sure you've got some City players in the attacking positions.

Yeah I think I'll wait on that one. Pep seems to be favouring Jesus again at the moment. Problem is there isn't really a striker I want from any of the other teams playing that week. Might pack the midfield instead with 5 and stick a cheapo in up front as bench fodder.

I take it you don't have any free chip available for GW35.. If you're not taking any minuts points hits, I'd swap Robertson for Burnley's Long to save some money for some bigger maneuvres later on. Or just swap in Long (4.0) for another defender on the bench if you can afford it. He'd be good for two rounds in gw34 and a good choice for starter in the upcoming rounds.

I've been following your advises lately and it's been going pretty well, many thanks guys!
However, now I don't have any Free Hit left nor wildcard, so my team is the below...

De Gea / Pope
Lascelles / Otamendi / Alonso / Schindler / Monreal
Lingard / Salah / Young / Milivojevic / Eriksen
Auba / Firminio /
Niasse

Any suggestions?

Many thanks once again guys!
Have a lovely weekend!
