I've heard there's a video of him catching an endangered koala on the rabona dropping soon.

If this guy doesn´t start against Brighton i feel sorry for him.

I would be surprised if he does start. Barring injury, Hojlund CF, Rash right, Garnacho (or Martial) left.

I would be very glad to see Pellistri get a decent chunk of minutes. Must have a chance of being subbed on.

Who would have thought in 2003 when we sold Beckham that 20 years later he would still be one of our least trouble making right winger with the least amount of scandals despite his immense wealth and media/public presence and profile.

guarantee he gets injured during the break with the whole antony saga going on and the sancho situation.

With Antony's case looming in , it'd be wise if ETH take him off the spotlight and play another player in RW position instead.

I think Pellistri has shown as much as any available player on the right tbh, even if he hasn`t played that much. And at 21, he is at a point where he needs to get more minutes.

I like him. I absolutely wouldn’t object to him starting. He still has tough competition even if Antony is absent.

Starting for Bielsa's first official match today. No Suárez or Cavani, complete reshuffle. Will keep you posted.

He's been alright this first half. On a side note it's a killer to see every other team passes better than we do and so many other managers stamp their style of play so bloody quickly. Typical Bielsa' team performance and they are 2 up now.

2-0, easy peasy, Pellistri doing alright but nothing to write home about either

Pellistri is actually secretly a Machiavellian evil genius, he's been taking all the other right wingers out of a action one by one

1. Seduced MG's missus to get her to fake evidence against him
2. Been lacing Amad's food to make him more susceptible to an injury
3. Pay off multiple women to frame Antony for assault

Gotta say I am surprised his team didn't lose because he played. Some caftards were convinced it's a big big risk to try him in few games ahead of Antony.

I like that level of ambition. He really wants to play for United.

Ugh missed an open goal right now.
He gets at the end of a cross and shoots over the bar before incoming block and making keeper jump at full stretch.

You'd want him to do better with that, but it isn't missing an open goal. Clear cut opportunity yes, but Antony skies shots several times a game.

The one thing that was noticeable was how he was happy enough to leave de la Cruz and Valverde to run the show and make Nuñez look world class. I would expect him to get more involved against Ecuador.

Speaking of, no idea how de la Cruz is still at River. If Klopp watches that surely he would take a punt on him?

If there was ever a time for him to lay claim to a place in the team, that time has come.

Was he any use for Uruguay over the international break?

Personally I don't rate him as high as Amad but unfortunately Amad is injured. Of course style wise they are completely different as well.

My biggest concern about him is that he just doesn't seem capable of scoring goals.

When did he last score in a competitive match?

It's not like there's a high bar for scoring from our wingers. Other than Rashford, none of them score anywhere near enough. If he can cause problems with his direct running that's already more than what Sancho would offer. This is where we are at as a team.

I really would like to see Pellistri and Amad get a run in our team now. If they don't impress/look short of United quality just move them on in January. No reason to keep them on if they don't look like making it at our club when they are 21 already.

Let's be honest, none of us actually know what he's capable of. He's gotten very limited chances, but at least he has looked promising the majority of the time he's played. Hopefully he can get a run of games now and then we'll be able to figure out if he's good enough to start or keep as a squad player.

My worry with Pellistri is that he might be just a slightly more useful Dan James.

Might be fine as squad option, but will never be good enough to start for a team that wants to challenge for the title, eventually.

I don't think he's scored a goal in senior football since he was back in Uruguay.

I think he scored only 2 goals at first-team level in his career and not many more assists. His output is severely lacking at this point in his career.

Isn’t he first team for Uruguay? We’ve got to give him a chance we’ve no other options and playing someone out of position just basically tells him he has no chance of making it here. I am surprised we haven’t loaned him to an English side either prem or championship like we did with Amad. That way he’d get regular football and we’d see how he handles it. Pointless sending him to Spain where it’s completely a different style.

In regards to his scoring and assisting. Last season he only got a little over 60 minutes of total playtime for us in the premier league.
To compare Antony got 1800 minutes and only managed 4 goals and 2 assists. So its not like his right wing competition is scoring tons of goals.

A loan to Celtic would have been a good move. He'd get Champions League football and he'd be playing at a level where he'd surely get plenty of goals and assists.

He didn't get any goals or assists at Alaves though despite getting nearly 1300 minutes for them.

He never did seem to fit in there. It is a worry, but he has looked promising when coming on for us and I would rather give him a chance then play Bruno on the wing.
If Amad was fit it would be a different story for me.
