Fabregas

Would anyone be happy waiting a year if it meant signing Fabregas?

Yeah I get the feeling we might try again. He would need to have another frustrating season with Barcelona though. It seems like Wegner's keeping tabs as well so if Arsenal do well this season that will be another problem.

Who gives a feck if he's keeping tabs? Doesn't mean that Fabregas wants to go there and fight it out for 4th place.

There's no need to not sign other midfielders whether we sign fabregas next summer or not. We've got the money to improve the midfield now and spend whatever it takes to to sign a big name midfielder next summer.

Plenty of midfielders still out there that will do a good job for us.Tom Ince for one and this Mccarthy who as not had any offers yet according to his manager.

Tom Ince? Do we need another winger, with Zaha just signed, and Nani, Valencia and Young?

I suppose if we end up signing nobody of the required quality, it'll at least have been a learning experience for the new team. It all started with such high hopes though. :(

Barca are probably trying to get Fabregas to hand in a transfer request, getting themselves out of paying a loyalty bonus.

So, no comment from United or Cesc? So, nothings changed?
Why all the pre-menstrual flapping on the Caf?

It's conceivable that Cesc won't say anything all summer.

Zubi's comments are the strongest we've heard so far throughout this saga, and Wenger chiming in doesn't augur well either. I'm beginning to suspect that our silence is an indication that it's game over.

Wenger said those exact same comments last month.

"At the moment, Fabregas has decided to stay one more year at Barcelona," Wenger told the press.

"We have the clause in the contract so we would be on alert but, at the moment, that’s not something we're after."

All he's doing is repeating himself.
