Sure, I'll bite, so if you had to put your money where you mouth was? My point being I think most will accept it's nigh on impossible now.. Unless Evra dies tomorrow, Evans has a season ending challenge and Buttner goes back to his German caravan, then maybe, just maybe, but DM will probably try to loan in a LB
Don't they make any good Dutch caravans?

But seriously, I get your pessimism and understand it - FFS, Fabio can't even get a sight at RB when Rafael is injured.

Let's keep our fingers, toes, dic....NO! not that 1! ;) all crossed and hope he plays some part tonight, if Evra isn't playing.

Well Evra is unlikely to be involved today according the BBC, so Fabio or Buttner will probably get the chance. I hope he goes with the former, but the latter seems more likely.

 Good point about the Dutch, I'll hide from that one  and Yes, I can only hope as well..

He'll leave during January. Be interesting to see how his career develops.

Can't even get on the pitch as Buttner's backup...I missed the match, did Giggs go to LB when Buttner went off?

Rafael did. Its clear Fabio doesn't have a future here though for whatever reason. Whoever picks him up on a free next summer will pick up a potentially excellent fullback capable of playing on either side though.

No fecking way should Büttner be ahead of Fabio. It's actually a joke.

Fabio should tweet that he hasn't slept with Moyes' daughter. It worked for Zaha!

I love both the Da Silva twins. They have the fight we're lacking atm. They both love the club to bits and beyond that Fabio is actually a good fullback.

Better than Buttner surely but massively overrated by plenty on here.

Perhaps. Sadly though, Buttner despite being nowhere good enough continues to get games whereas Fabio has been totally frozen out. Its bizarre how some players can be consistently average (at best) and yet continue to get picked above other players who are obviously more talented. When Evra's resting Fabio should be the one getting games not Buttner.

Sometimes you never get to the bottom of it when a player leaves. They move on, the manager wishes him well in the press conference and that's it. There is never too much explanation when a player leaves, all the talk on why a player is there is on arrival. But I would really love to hear Moyes' reasoning for Fabio's absence. He is the only one that sees Buttner as better quality than Fabio.

Any chance he might start playing if both Evra and Buttner are injured? Or is Evans at LB more likely?

Perhaps Fabio has told Moyes to feck off at some point and the manager has froze him out.

The only logical explanation but then the Da Silva twins look good guys. Difficult to know what goes behing the scenes, but it is hard to imagine him being such a lazy player on trainings. On the other side, he was much better than Buttman on preseason when Moyes used him regularly (like Zaha) and in those 2 games he has played this season he again showed that he's much better than Buttman.

So, my bet is that him and Zaha have made orgy with Moyes daughter.

I can't for the life of me believe that he doesn't impress in training when sir Alex ferguson said himself that both the da silvas are amongst the first to arrive to training and are really enthusiastic and love their football.

It makes absolutely no sense, none whatsoever. I mean, to not even make the bench today is crazy.

Didn fergie say chicharito was the first in training at one time? Cant say whether it's true or not but maybe it just goes in cycles and so we get different responses each time.

So much pointless token 'I can't believe's' getting slung about. fecking duh no one can understand what's going on. FFS do people want a cookie for being the special sensitive guy who picked up on it?

Might as well devote the remainder of his time here to speculation like the Klondike-bar/told Moyes to shove it scenarios posted above.

Here's one:

With typical Latiney latin-ness, he called Rooney out in the dressing room re the latter's attitude towards the club; hence he's simultaneously the unsung hero behind WR's resurgence but also a sacrificial lamb in that the management have to 'get rid' in order to hold onto Scouse 'oh-look-goals-all-is-forgiven' Judas.

Fabio's left foot is better than Buttner. I don't even know who makes these decisions. Tonight would have been the perfect match to see if Fabio is still good enough but Moyes must always play Valencia as RB. I dunno why this is now a recurring feature in our games. It will be sad to see him leave but then that's Moyes ploy to bring in Baines. Evra leaves next season, Buttner is pants & by next summer, Fabio would have left.

Operation "Sign Baines" finally activated.

Any chance he's just not really that good?

Seems the less he plays the better he gets.

I've given up wanting him to be given time and given a chance, SAF didn't, Moyes didn't, and the various smaller clubs he went on to loan to (All had their problems admittedly), but none thought he was good enough to even play him regularly..

I hope for his sake he moves back to Brazil and plays well as I still think there is a top player in there, but we won't see it here now.

What various smaller clubs? He's only been on loan to QPR and started most of their games when he was fit.

We get it popper, you don't seem to think he's any good. You need to drop this "he seems to get better the less he plays" nonsense.

No one is claiming that fabio is a god on the football pitch. But Buttner is shite and we'd like to see fabio be given a chance, there's nothing wrong with that.

Edit: sorry, just read through yout posts and that's the first time you mentioned it so I retract that first paragraph.

But the rest of the point still stands, we've seen enough of buttner to know what a liability he is, all we ask is that fabio is given the same chance.

he scored a goal last time he played and he wasn even starting. you can still be a good player and frozen out. Nasri looked set to be that player last season for city but now he's flourishing again.

If Evra was left out with injury I hope Fabio comes in. Wishful thinking but I'll keep hoping.

Maybe Moyes doesn't realise that we actually have a player called Fabio. He might think Rafael is just playing a trick on him by running around with a different shirt on in training occassionally?

I might have laughed in 2008 before that started to get old...

Doesn't one of them wear a wedding ring?

Truly do wonder what he must be doing in training and/or what Buttner has shown in training for Fabio to pretty much be frozen out. Forgetting even the season he started in the CL final, at QPR he put in some good performances, ones that I thought would be a good platform for him this season to get games as Evra is given a rest. Only other thing I can think of is there is an issue with contract renewal so Buttner is being given the games as Fabio is pretty much gone as far as Moyes is concerned.
