So CoentraOn?
Funny thing is, that injury today could speeden up any deal.I think he'll arrive this week but I don't like us taking players on loan!If we could get this Coentrao deal sorted before the Chelsea game it would calm a lot of nerves, I hope I'm not alone in not wanting Buttner or Fabio to start against Chelsea should Evra's knee problem persist.

Gotta imagine it's a loan to buy.Funny thing is, that injury today could speeden up any deal.I think he'll arrive this week but I don't like us taking players on loan!
I keep forgetting he's had very limited football this season so let's hope he's keeping himself in a good condition should we sign him. No point adding him on loan to our squad in January if he isn't because how quickly he adapts to the league is already an issue let alone adding lack of fitness on top of that.Problem is, Coentrao hasn't played in ages. He might be nowhere near match fit.
I think so, yeah.Who was the last player we had on loan? Larsson? Kuszczak doesn't count.
Yes, I remember David Gill saying something like Manchester United don't sign players on loan or something. Option to buy him would be nice, especially for 12m as is being whispered.I think so, yeah.
An outright loan doesn't seem like a very 'United' thing to do for a young player like Cocentrao. I hope there's an option to buy if we go down that route.

It's fecking hilarious.
A loan with a buy option would be great, I'd prefer that over a purchase. I know that it still leaves some uncertainty for next seasons left-back position, but I'm not totally convinced he is our long term left back solution.
I hope so, I rate him highly but then those who see him play far more often than me don't seem to be so sure.
He's fitting in already.I like him even more now I've seen what a dilbert he is
I think when he plays for Portugal he tends to look great. Not so much at Real Madrid, which might suggest nothing more than he's a confidence player who needs trust to perform. After all he's second choice after Marcelo.
Will he be first choice for us though? I doubt it this season since he needs to fit in and Evra is such a huge influence in the team. If it's a loan deal then he can't afford to dither, he needs to hit the ground running and perform well pretty quickly if he wants to stay.
