Fabinho

Feck me, these journos all think every central midfielder in the world plays in the same way.

Bakayoko, Verratti and Fabinho are all just replacements for one other apparently. Pathetic.

Hmm Castles has been clueless so far this summer, linked us with Hart and Aguero ffs.

As much as it's frustrating, I'm enjoying the fact that no one knows our targets. But I am also concerned we may not end up with our targets!

Something else linking us with 2 players and dismissing one. Hart isnt needed due to de Gea staying and Aguero is obviously impossible.

Now we are elevating a hack who said we were after Hart and Aguero to Joses mouthpiece because it fits with our preconceptions. :wenger:

Sometimes you have to read between the lines with all these guys. Unlike others i don't take them all for gospel but you know which ones obviously have a line into the club. The Fabinho stuff just seemed off to me from the get go. Not as ridiculous as the Aguero stuff but i think we could all see what was going on there.

Woody was given the transfer targets back in March so has to take the blame for any failings.

The players and clubs have a say. In itself a list is only worth the papers it's written on.

Would you rather he paid £90m for Peresic and £90m for Morata just to get the deals done?

Castles seeemed to get info during the season but since the summer it's gone a bit wonky. Wonder if mendes has cut ties now?

So how exactly does this relationship work? He texts Mou and asks him about our targets? And Mou just obliges and tells him we arent in for Fabinho?
No, he first wrote in the message: "My deepest condolences to you and your family", then he asked him about Fabinho, Jose wrote back: "Hmmmm, er...obrigado", and then he spilled his guts to baldy.
On a serious note, which shaving cream is he using, Baldy, not Jose.

Seems we are playing our cards close to our chest again. Morata seems very likely to me but other than that, I concede, even the likes of Di Marzio is unsure. Fingers crossed though.

If it puts an end to this utterly bizzare transfer malarky once and for all, sure why not.

I'm sure Woodward values the sanity of this subforum for a few weeks at around £20m-£25m.

Fabinho would be a great Verratti replacement, not like for like but it rarely ver is. Doesn't matter if they don't want to sell him if he forces a move.
Fabinho would replace Motta/Krychowiak which is a confirmed need.
Verratti leaving or not is a different issue and would have to be handled separately.

I can already read it:" Woodward is useless, he always overpay, what is the point of landing noodles deals, if you get mugged by every clubs under the sun."

Why the feck aren't we after verratti instead if he wants to leave. He's an absolute beast. I'd prefer him over fabinho

Because he prefers Barca. Also because quality of the players aside, we need a player of the Fabinho mould more than we do a player like Veratti.

It's barca, they chat a lot of shit. If they wanted him they'd have presented an offer to PSG

Yeah because that's how transfers work, there's never any posturing in the press before hand.
