He's a bit more limited on the ball, but he's a big, strong, mobile defensive midfielder who win most duels and dominate opponents aerially. He and N'Zonzi are probably the best Fabinho backups.
Or it could be that Jose is happy with Fellaini, or maybe he might replace one tree with another tree in the midfield, or we could just be going behind average players while our rivals and other top teams go for players like Bernardo Silva, Veratti, etc. It could be anything.

Why would they sell half their best players after winning the league? Theyre a selling club.
Seems strange to sell to PSG when they have offers on the table from other leagues. I highly doubt Fabinho is demanding PSG only.
You know that the only significant player that they've sold this window is Silva, right? Perhaps you could throw Germain into that category too but it's not half as significant.
They sell because they have good young players ready to take the place of those who leaves. That's the benefit of having a well run club with a good academy and an excellent scouting network. Shame we aren't more like them.
They could at least try to avoid selling him to a domestic rival if they have ambitions of retaining the title or at least challenging PSG in the next years.

Youve just described a selling club. Ajax are the same, how good would they have been down the years if theyd managed to hold on to their superstars? In reality they cant though so they get the best prices they can get.
