Well obviously a Pogba level signing would be ideal (Sanchez comes to mind) but it wouldn't necessarily have to be a high profile player. Thomas Lemar isn't a 'galactico' but he's much better than Perisic.
I don't see a front line that has Perisic and Rashford as important players being capable of challenging for the league; never mind winning it. The firepower just isn't there.
Why not? Jose gave him a debut at Real as a full back didn't he? Also Duncan Castles said that Jose wanted Fabinho to come in last season as a RB. It's only this season he became a mainstay in DM. It would also explain the persistent Matic links.
NO! Do not, under any circumstances, start to think a deal is done. Until you see Fabinho's horrible grin holding his United shirt, you don't assume anything!
Dier, Matic and Fabinho still on the table for now. If you approach it this way, you save the heartbreak and anger further down the line.

If we are going for Morata, I agree that there is a need for an ace attacker. Personally I'd hope we take a solid gamble on Dembele.

It's been a while since he really did a proper job there. He has come leaps and bounds as a DM. José gave him his debut at RB when he was 18/19. That is a very long time. Valencia was a RW then, you wouldn't play him there now. WB is pushing it let alone at RB now.
Not convinced by mkhi yet. Especially in the big games he has failed (reached rooney in pub player mode levels at times) and yes I know he scored in the final.
Will be a DM, only cover for RB. More attacking than Darmian.

A more solid back 5 should hopefully allow to shine through next season. I don't think he was utilised well imo, not excusing some of his form though
He played there this season a couple of times otherwise it's been a year. It's his favorite position and where he thinks he has the better chance to be selected with Brazil.
Much better than Darmian going forward, his crossing is really good.

We really do. Chelsea have Hazard; Arsenal have Sanchez, City have Aguero and De Bruyne etc. These are the sorts of players you need when most of your opponents set up to defend.
We need a forward who has great control in tight spaces and who can make things happen when opponents sit deep. Perisic running the channels and working hard wont be much help in that situation.

Perisic isn't nearly good enough to be one of the front 3, and the width he provides that opens up the space needs a top #10 or SS to run into it, and we don't have one.
Dembele would be the dream, the kind of dynamic game changer we need, I think I'd opt for him on the right and Martial on the left, Mkhi hasn't done enough in the PL yet to be first choice IMO.
Yes, when you look at all the top teams they have their striker and then that one other attacker that brings the bit of magic, someone that can take on a defense and create as well as score, we are short of that and Perisic isn't the answer.

Potentially on top form yes, alternate Mhki with Herrera in the middle if it looks like Fab and Pog have it covered in midfield

In Europe he's been our best player, give him time to adapt.
Good on Italian-based players and Raiola's clients. Outside of that, pretty mixed.

Has been really great from December till end of Feb and everyone was praising him. His performance dropped heavily in the last 3 months even though he kept scoring. He has some problems in his ball control but I'm sure he will be better next season with more settling in the team and the league, and don't forget we still have Mata, even Perisic can be deployed on the right if needed. We have other choices.
Not that I watched much Ligue 1 last season, what I saw of him in the CL was nothing short of impressive. Crying out for a player like him to free Pogba.
