It's been on since yesterday when a little known random journalist said very confidently that it's a done deal and Fabinho batted his eyelashes at us in his evening interview. Di Marzio saying it's on today makes me think this is done.

I'd be happy with the other signings but I don't rate Perisic so I don't think he'd improve our attacking woes. We'd still lack that elite quality up front.

He reminds me a bit of Viera. Obviously he only moved to midfield and there is plenty room for development but he could really become something as he is only 23-24.

Di Marzio said we've made an offer for the player. Doesn't say if it's been accepted or rejected or when it was made. I'd be cautiously optimistic until we hear something from the French/English ends, as this could be disinformation.

I agree, but he's also 32 and I don't see many other options to share the burden on the right flank. You're probably right though, DM seems the obvious choice. One of the tweet headlines in Di Marzio's article mentioned his search for a right full back and brought Fabinho into it, so it made me wonder.

Nah this is the same guy. Gianluca Di Marzio is pretty good. David Amoyal is the translator into English so he's worth a follow too, he has some occasional banter. I'm not too hot on Italian banter therefore can't get involved with Di Marzio.

Lindelof and Fabinho are players that will peak in a few years' time, and players like Bailly, de Gea, Shaw, Rashford, Martial, Pogba etc. all have the potential to be great players at that time. Exciting times.

I like Perisic, watched him in the Euros last year and he was class. Helped me win my Fantasy Euro league so I have a soft spot for him since then. You obviously want another Pogba like level signing but this season Jose is picking players to best suit his team/system. Pogba will be better next season in attacking situations, Mkhitaryan too and Rashford and Martial are 2 of the most promising young talents in the league and will also improve.
Sincerely doubt that you'll be seeing that happening
Well I do agree on the front that we need another creative attacker but with perisic the attacking dynamics will change to more direct and counter attacking and the width he will provide will open up more spaces in the box, so in a sense it will solve problems too against deep defenses too.
