From Portuguese press which can't stop blabbering and linking us with everyone in Portugal. And they finally got it right which I think surprised even them. There were not many other credible links.

And as you already said there is clear progress from Moyes and Ed first transfer window when it comes to public leaks.

Even Swedish journalists posted about Lindelof.

Last season Mkhitaryan, Pogba, Zlatan - Every journalist reported it and all the sagas lasted at least a month.

Clearly we made progress but leaks are something that's very hard to stop as we have to deal with multiple parties.

Don't remember Mhki to be honest, I don't recall many leaks until a week before we sign him but I could be wrong.

For Pogba and Zlatan... Those high profile signings are almost impossible to conclude under the radar. My guess is also that we will not have this kind of superstar signings this summer. As much as muppets do want them every year.

Mkhitaryan was linked with Arsenal, a day or two later we got linked with him, I think we'd signed him within a week, only story that came out was Raiola throwing chairs about. No real suggestion of him prior to that if I recall correctly.

Even iniesta wasn't judged on goals, isn't he at like 60 goals in 700 games or something?
In his case, I'd say it's a legit criticism to say he could and should have scored more during his career. He's been brilliant for more than a decade and won everything so he shouldn't lose sleep over it obviously but still.

Giggs only has 180 from 1000+ games.

It's okay not to be a goalscorer if you make up for it in other areas, which Iniesta obviously has. Modrić hasn't scored a huge amount either.

It's no coincidence that Barcelona and Real have had the spells that they've had since 2008, with these players helping control the game. Tempo setters.

People were wondering yesterday why/how Coriella della sport would know about an English Club signing a Brazilian player from a French club and today Juve, who themselves were reportedly after said Brazilian player, lose their chief scout as he defects to United.

We need a video of that fresh ESPN Brasil interview so we can do some body language analysis.

Could be where the news came from. Anyway, not sure if reliable but:

"Two exits from Monaco very close. Fabinho to Manchester United for € 35M and Bakayoko to Chelsea for € 40M. Fantastic club business."

He was linked with ManUtd and so many reports in June, he was signed in July.

Raiola throwing chairs was reported on June 19th, he was linked with us for weeks before signed.

Telegraph claiming the rumour about Matic agreeing personal terms with United has been dismissed by the club. Looks like Romano's update is still the best we have on a DM

Who is this guy? Why can't we get some real reputable journalists report on this :(

Ah si si! estoy listo abrir la cremallera

I found this great website called Youtube where you see players you have never seen before and based on what I saw for 5 mins I convinced Fabinho is amasing and a must buy....

Remember this from Jose before we'd signed Mkhitaryan?

“I think the third player is official or not yet?” Mourinho said, turning to his press officer, who said, ‘No’.

At which point Mourinho asked: “So the third player will be official, when?” to which the press officer replied: “Soon.”

Fantastic for who? :D

Does anyone have any evidence of when we apparently said we were not interested in pogba. Before we then signed him?

I want this signing. While I think our biggest concern is putting the ball in the back of the net and bringing in a forward that can do it, I think Fabinho would solidify the midfield very nicely. Not a carbon copy of Carrick but I believe he can do a top job in front of our defense. Wrap this deal up, find a striker, win the league. Hopefully this isn't silly season mumbo jumbo.

There's no doubt that he would like to play for United but wouldn't we all!? Unfortunately, if our manager doesn't want Fabinho then he won't get his wish

Recent comments about managers he would like to work with certainly suggest we aren't in for him at all. What a head scratcher, you have to wonder what José doesn't see in him.

What did he say on the television show?
With those asking the questions probably fishing for Manchester United hints, Fabinho was asked which players and managers he’d like to work with: “Players, the one I think I would like to play together or face, to watch closely, is Messi. Managers, I would also like to work with great managers to learn more about football, learn new things. There are great managers in football. Guardiola, Zidane, who’s doing a great work, Tite, also doing a great job in the national team, Simeone. These are managers I would like to work with some day.”

That wasn’t good enough, so the ESPN Brasil presenter added an all important word: “Mourinho?”

Fabinho played along: “Mourinho, too. He is an excellent manager. No doubt.”

Unimportant, he's saying what we want to hear, so i'm confident he's ITK!

No I checked this a few weeks ago and couldn't find anything

How confident are you all that the players around Fabinho didn't make him look better than he actually is?

Monaco weren't too great defensively. He'd probably have more help playing for us than he did at Monaco

Playing hard to get now. He is so into us...
