I guess the Italian journos are basing it off their Juventus links. If they heard from their Juve sources that Fabinho is indeed coming here, will be a good story to use in the future to show up any English journos who claim something or another. Hope this is true though - he is not Carrick, but people forget that he is only 23, can only get better and a midfield trio of him, Herrera and Pogba is going to be excellent.

Actual journos are generally more reliable than click bait tabloid ones. That said, journos are merely passing along what they have heard and there are no guarantees that they are giving accurate information, so all of this should be taken with a grain of salt.
Amongst the midfielders we are linked with, he's the best player I feel. The price seems to be reasonable as well considering the market. He'll be a good addition all things considered.

Would be very worrying if City signed him, he'd be excellent for them. He's not exactly distanced himself from either club with both clubs being able to pay handsomely and being able to offer good wages hard to see who he'd choose.

Put simply, Juve want him, he's a versatile player who was a right back and now plays as a midfielder, they have to stump up 45m euros to get him, and N'Zonzi is their other option as the Manchester clubs and PSG are also interested in Fabinho.
