We knew they were interested but I don't think they will sign him. They can only sign one more foreign player this summer apparently so it would make more sense to buy Darmian off us and still be able to sign a foreign player in a different position.

This reminds me so much of the Vidal saga. Exactly what we need in midfield so everyone wants it badly, no actual semblance of the club actually being interested, everyone disappointed, ever so often a new report comes out saying it's on again. Monaco are in the process of haggling over a fee with Chelsea for Bakayoko and don't want them to know they're suddenly cash rich, so we agree to publicly back off so they can bank a few more roubles.

I know you're joking etc but it's a common misconception that Fabinho is represented by Mendes. I assumed the same until I checked Google and it seems he's managed by some "Kick and Run agency"

Let us all admit it, most of us are talking out of our ass when we claim to know his style and quality, and have most likely only seen him in the CL.
He has been up for grabs for two seasons now, and so far no takers amongst the top teams, and it isn't like the market is flush with DM talent.

There has been such a sparsity of positive news over the last week I'll take it!

I wouldn't even trust them on Italian-based players; they have previously claimed that Biglia, Vidal and De Vrij to United are all done deals.
