I doubt all these stories are true but if Jose prefers Dier or Matic over Fabinho, I'm slightly worried
I've given Jose the benefit of the doubt all season and think he's an incredible manager, the best, if not one of the best around. That being said, if he is prioritising Dier and Matic over Fabinho, he's truly lost the plot.
Fabinho unlike the other two seems genuinely interested in playing for us, would be cheaper, is younger and does everything they can do and then some.

Fully agree and so far, Jose's done brilliantly in the transfer market. However, at his previous clubs he had some brainfarts and this could be the first one whilst at United. Let's hope not and that he buys a top quality midfielder, preferably Fabinho

This is the signing I hope for this summer even more than Griezmann as its for me the missing cog in the midfield. I get the feeling it isn't going to happen though as I think Jose is looking at Matic. I think he's gonna sign a prem based player who knows the league as there's gonna be at least 3 new starters that don't.
Yep, which is rather interesting. It's the only thing that's giving me hope that perhaps Fabinho is still on the cards. It seems implausible that we wouldn't sign a central midfielder this window, yet we are linked to none. So other we haven't moved for any yet, or we are keeping it quiet on that front. Either way, while we can't get too invested in any particular name, it also means that we can't rule any out.

I'm sorry but this makes no sense to me. He's the perfect midfielder to partner with Pogba, is young but developed and not raw, wants to come to United, and won't demand a huge fee.
