FFS look at the links people are using in this thread. Literally the only one missing is Indykalia - some of you guys would clearly love that account

Well, I did follow all the UCL action. And, I followed EPL and La Liga, live. I always watch the replays for the top 5 teams of Bundesliga, Ligue 1 and Serie A. Torino wasn't a team that I followed. But, this time I followed it since Christmas as there were rumors that MUFC was interested in Belotti. All the top scorers were usual suspects, except for this young lad. He's exciting to watch.

It's literally one clown after another reporting this. Nothing to see here.

Him being on holiday is a weird excuse to say nothing happening so far. Surely he could take a day or two out, arrive for a medical and sign the papers if a deal was close. Pretty sure this will drag on a few weeks at least, holiday or not.

Stop being a prat. Nobody is going to cancel their holiday and fly home to sign some papers in a rush. He can finish his holiday and do everything once he returns.

People are so impatient when it comes to transfers  crazy.

Tell that to Pogba

Nobody said about cancelling. Bernardo Silva was also on holiday in Mallorca and went for the medical straight. I am afraid, all these reports so far are absolute dogshit if they say he is on holiday. He probably will decide his future after it, that would be more logical.

You clearly haven't followed United transfers very closely over the years. It wouldn't be a transfer window without someone being on holiday seemingly holding up a move, with some holiday tweets and cryptic clues being given in various interviews with the player keeping us all on edge. See Vidal, Thiago and Pogba for recent similar evidence.

That midfield - Pogba, Herrera, Fabinho!

Looking at the brazilian national side he seems to be outside of that one. Casimero, Fernandinho etc. all seems to be above him in the pecking order. That may be a good thing though, lower price and more time to rest.

Think a lot of people are going to be bitterly disappointed.

Not even one remotely credible source linking us with him.

City obviously wanted to announce it quickly so they could shout "look at us doing a big transfer wahoo"

We clearly aren't in such a rush, we've got a month before we need to get things settled.

The question I have is why would he do that when United or Fabinho aren't in a rush? We don't need to make any statement of intent and preseason isn't close to start.

Very rarely do footballers cancel their vacations; first, their vacations are already limited if they are playing in summer international tournaments every other year; second, for many it's the only chance to spend some real time with their family, who usually live in the other country. Or spend some quality time with their spouse (who can also live abroad, it's not uncommon) - without restricting themselves to a straight regime, no alcohol etc.

Countless times transfers were finished after a said player, with the deal already in place, returned from the vacation and signed the papers.

Hope it's true but the whole not credible source is kinda annoying.

No, nor was he EL final MOTM

I am sure that Fabinho would love playing in the Europa league. Such historical final against some 17 year olds is the pinnacle of one's career. Its a shame that SAF never won such honour.

To make the muppets happy? maybe i am just projecting what i would do if a deal was agreed.

Well he wont get his chance now will he since our horrible manager and horrible players beat that team of 17 year kids to get us into the CL.

He lost his chance, the pinnacle of our club's history.

And no, Mou is not a horrible manager. In matter of fact, he'll probably add a DM which in turn will move some rubbish players down in the pecking order.

After the hoohaa of being linked to a few of Monaco's players, they signed only one so far from them and a GK from Benfica. Two nil one of the muppet said.

Actually, I can see this happening. As you mentioned, we have lost the goals that Zlatan provides, while also losing the potential of the goals that Griezmann should have provided. Hence, we may very well see a Morata 7 and Belotti 9 in our team, with Morata taking on the role that Griezmann was earmarked for - holding up the ball, turning to face the goal, looking for weaknesses in defences - while Belotti just stays around the box waiting for crosses and any chance to fall his way. Both also have the work rate and pace to motor around the pitch, defending from the front, while being able to interchange and also being strong in the air.

Interesting one this, think we have a offer on the table for him just need him to get back from holiday.

Might have to wait a few days - if I didn't read wrongly (I don't have Instagram, used the web version), his wife said they will be back only on Thursday. Maybe someone can check?

I have to agree with the point of view that it doesn't sound right. Many a player take a break from their holidays to complete a contract with a new club especially of United's status.

Either its all media rumours without real substance or his club haven't given him clearance thus far.
